Hilton has appointed Feisal Jaffer Global Head of LXR Hotels & Resorts. He was most recently with the Capella Hotel Group as Senior Vice President of Business Development.
Carolyne Doyon has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, America and the Caribbean, at Club Med, succeeding Xavier Mufraggi. Doyon has been with the company since 2008, most recently as Senior Vice President, Canada and Mexico.
Joseph Mattioli has been named General Manager of the Montage Park City. He was most recently in the same position for the St. Regis Washington, D.C. Mattioli is the former General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe and the Ritz-Carlton Cleveland.
Le Méridien New York, Central Park has appointed Shahram Khan General Manager. He was most recently General Manager at the Le Méridien Boston Cambridge.
Dale McCarty has joined the Hutton Hotel Nashville as General Manager. He had previously served as General Manager for the Le Méridien New Orleans, the former W New Orleans.
Nusrat Mirza has been named General Manager of the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort. For the past five years, he had served as General Manager of the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa.
The Huntington Hotel San Francisco has named Brian Fenwick General Manager. Fenwick was most recently at RocketSpace and had previously served in management positions with Commune Hotels & Resorts and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.
Sirle Martorell has been promoted at the Hilton Miami Downtown to General Manager. For the past two years, she had served as Hotel Manager.
Sinem Kaya has been appointed General Manager of the Kimpton Angler’s Hotel South Beach. She was most recently with SBE Global Lifestyle Hospitality.
Jose Ortega has joined Dr. Wilkinson’s Hot Springs Resort in Calistoga as General Manager. He is the former Rooms Division Manager of the Carmel Mission Inn in Monterey.
David Bodette has been appointed General Manager of the Saint Kate ART Hotel in Milwaukee. He was most recently the Managing Director at the Queen Mary. Bodette is the former General Manager of the The ART Denver.
Shawn Jervis has been appointed General Manager of the Yotel Washington, D.C., formerly the Liaison Capitol Hill. He is the former General Manager of the Barnsley Resort, the Miramonte Resort and Spa- Indian Wells, and the Embassy Row Hotel- Washington, DC.
The Karol Hotel in Clearwater has named Adam Duffey General Manager. He is the former General Manager of the Staybridge Suites St. Petersburg Downtown.
Rob Morgan has joined Seaview, a Dolce Hotel, in Galloway as General Manager. He is the former Senior Vice President of Transitions & Operations Strategy for Davidson Hotels & Resorts and Senior Director of Portfolio & Project Management at Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Remington has named Jarrad Evans to the newly-created position of Chief Investment Officer. Evans was most recently the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for Benchmark.
David Ecija has been appointed General Manager of the Hilton West Palm Beach. He was most recently in the same position at the Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi.
Oxford Hotels & Resorts has promoted George Jordan to President. He had previously served the company as Executive Vice President following his position as Senior Vice President.
The Dream Hotel Group has promoted Michael Lindenbaum to Chief Operating Officer. Lindenbaum has been with the company for nine years, most recently as Executive Vice President, Hotel Development and Operations.
Bruce Seigel has been appointed General Manager of the Colony Palm Beach. He was most recently the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe. In Palm Beach, he takes over from Tom List.
Duane Dickson has been named General Manager of the Tuscana Resort Orlando & The Fountains at ChampionsGate. He is the former Senior Property Manager of the Castle Group and General Manager of Turquoise Place.
Véronique Stalport has joined the Sofitel Washington, D.C. Lafayette Square as Director of Operations. The Lausanne graduate is the former Director of Rooms of the
Fairmont Washington, D.C. and Director of Housekeeping
of the Fairmont Pittsburgh.
Gabriele Originario has been named Director of Operations of the
SLS Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Originario was previously the Assistant General Manager of the Hyatt Place San Francisco.
Kevin Walsh has been named Regional Director of Finance at Benchmark Hospitality. He was previously Regional Director, Finance, for Interstate Hotels & Resorts and Director of Accounting and Area Controller for the Gateway Hospitality Group.
Bernard Campbell has joined Spring Place as Chief Financial Officer. He is the former Vice President of Finance for SIXTY Hotels, Regional Vice President of Finance at Commune Hotels + Resorts, and Financial Controller of Thompson Hotels.
Carlos Gutierrez has joined the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas as Director of Food and Beverage. Most recently, Gutierrez served as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.
The Sarasota Modern has appointed J. Christopher Ayala as Director of Culinary. He was most recently serving as Executive Chef of La Tienda Importing.
Grant MacPherson has been appointed Senior Vice President of Restaurants at the Hakkasan Group in Las Vegas. He is the former Executive Chef of Sandy Lane, the opening Executive Chef of Wynn Las Vegas and Wynn Macau, and the Bellagio.
Scott Etchberger has joined the Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island as Human Resources Director. He was most recently at the Hilton Atlanta where he served as Interim Human Resources Director and prior to that, Assistant Director of Human Resources.
Jonas Malheiro has been appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing – Europe and Americas – at the Jumeirah Group. He was with Belmond, most recently as Divisional Director of Sales, EMEA.
Playa Hotels & Resorts has named Dean Sullivan, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, based in Ft. Lauderdale. He is the former Chief Marketing Officer for Couples Resorts and Vice President of Sales & Digital Marketing for Kerzner International.
Sylvie Monsivais has joined the Kimpton Goodland in Goleta as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Harbor View Inn.
The Wymara Resort & Villas has named Jorge Collazo Director of Sales and Marketing. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at Silversands Grenada and the Betsy South Beach.
Samantha Spurgeon has been named Director of Sales and Marketing of the One&Only Mandarina. She is the former Director of Sales and Marketing of the ANdAZ Maui at Wailea Resort, the W South Beach, and the Westin Maui Resort & Spa and Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas.
Roy Schindele has been named Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for the Mission Inn Resort & Club Orlando. For the past 14 years, he had served as Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando.
Felicia Rahm has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing of the Hotel Zags Portland. She was most recently with the Yotel Boston as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Michael Dutton has been named Director of Sales and Marketing of the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach. Most recently, he served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Resorts World Bimini.
Maribel Denner has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing of the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort. She had previously served as Director of Sales for Marriott Southwest Group Sales.
Jen Garrett has been named to oversee sales and marketing at the Canopy by Hilton West Palm Beach Downtown. She had previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Palm Beach Gardens and the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Flagstaff.
Denise Perkins has been appointed Director of Marketing of Garden of the Gods Resort and Club in Colorado Springs. She had previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Noble House Hotels & Resorts in Napa for the River Terrace Inn and the Napa Valley Wine Train.
Lauren Vojvoda has been named Director of Sales and Marketing of the Huntington Hotel San Francisco (the former Scarlet Hotel) . She was most recently the Associate Director of Sales of the Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel.
Julia Austin has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. She was most recently serving as Assistant Director of Sales.
Mirian Ortega has been named Director of Sales at the Le Méridien New York, Central Park. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square South.
The Teneo Hospitality Group has appointed Judith Segura Director of Sales Mexico. Most recently, she was International Group Sales Manager at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma.
Jed Arrogante has been appointed Account Director for the Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point. He was previously with La Costa Resort, Park Hyatt Aviara and the US Grant.
Erik Anderson has joined the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley as Executive Chef of TRUSS Restaurant and Bar. He was most recently at the two Michelin-starred San Francisco restaurant COI.
Michael Patria has moved to the Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore Santa Barbara as Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same position at the Four Seasons Atlanta. Patria is the former Restaurant Chef and Executive Chef of Fifth Group Restaurants‘ Ecco.
Brian Parks has joined the Quail Lodge & Golf Club as Executive Chef. He is the former Corporate Executive Chef of Blue Mango Management, Chef/Owner of Georgia’s Smokehouse, and Executive Chef of the Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara.
The Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel has named Fabrizio Facchini Executive Chef. Most recently, Facchini served as the Executive Chef at Memoria in New York and Taverna Novo in Saratoga Springs.
The Hyatt Regency San Antonio has named Christian Apetz Executive Chef. Apetz was most recently in the same position at the Driskill Hotel in Austin. Apetz is the former Executive Chef of the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor and the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa.
Justin Taylor is now at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts as Executive Chef. Most recently, he was the Executive Chef for three years at the Andaz West Hollywood. Taylor is the former Executive Sous Chef of the Andaz 5th Avenue.
The Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center has named Robert Felios III Executive Chef. He is the former Executive Sous Chef of the Westin Riverwalk, San Antonio, and the Embassy Suites, San Marcos.
Andre Sattler has joined the Ben West Palm as Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Chef at Acqualina Resort & Spa Miami.
The Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas has named Jose Sanchez Executive Chef. Most recently, Sanchez developed the TACUBA Mexican Restaurant in Osaka.
Loren Lawe has returned as Executive Chef of the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. He had previously been with the hotel from 2010-2017 as Executive Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and Director of Food and Beverage/Executive Chef.
The Shade Hotel Redondo Beach has named Craig Hopson Executive Chef of the Sea Level Restaurant, replacing Aaron Robbins. Hopson was the Executive Chef at Le Cirque for four years and the Farmhouse in Los Angeles.
Rodney Herwerth has been named Executive Chef of the Brown Palace Hotel and Spa and the adjacent Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown. He was most recently the Executive Chef of the Hilton Denver Inverness.
Matthew Cappellini has been appointed Executive Chef of the Sophy Hotel Chicago. Cappellini was formerly the Executive Chef at Le Meridien Oak Brook and worked at Sixteen restaurant at Trump International Hotel Chicago.
EUROPE
Michel Reybier Hospitality has named François Dussart Chief Operating Officer. The Lausanne graduate was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Sandoz Hotels. Dussart previously spent 13 years as General Manager and Managing Director of the Beau Rivage Palace. He partially replaces Jean-Luc Naret, who has left the company.
Fergus Stewart has been named Regional Vice President – Europe – at the Jumeirah Group. He was most recently with InterContinental Hotels as Vice President of the Luxury Hotels Division – Europe. Stewart also spent many years in Asia with Shangri-La.
Philippe Roux-Dessarps takes over from Sam Ioannidis at the recently opened Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens as General Manager. Roux-Dessarps is the former General Manager of the Park Hyatt Chicago and the Park Hyatt Tokyo.
François-Xavier Schoeffer has returned to the Hotel Lutétia in Paris to take on the role of General Manager. He had previously served as Hotel Manager before leaving to join sister property London’s Café Royal, most recently serving as Hotel Manager.
Sonja Vodusek has moved over to the Peninsula London as General Manager. She was most recently the General Manager of the Peninsula Tokyo.
Vincenzo Finizzola has been appointed General Manager of the Bauer Hotel Venice. He is the former General Manager of the Four Seasons Milano.
Lionel Servant has been appointed General Manager of the Hotel Négresco in Nice. He comes from the Radisson Blu Nice, where he was the General Manager. At the Négresco, Servant takes over from Pierre Bord.
Simon Young has been appointed Executive Chef of the Rosewood London, replacing Martin Cahill. Young had previously spent 16 years as Executive Chef at the Jumeriah Carlton Tower (currently closed for extensive renovations).
Nicolas Paciello has been named Chef Pâtissier of the Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris. He had previously served in similar positions at the Prince de Galles and La Réserve Paris.
ASIA AND THE PACIFIC
Nils-Arne Schroeder succeeds Daniel Welk as Vice President, Luxury & Lifestyle, Hilton, Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. He has been with Hilton for over 20 years, most recently as Regional General Manager, based in Jakarta.
Andrew De Brito has been named opening General Manager of the Four Seasons Tokyo at Otemachi, anticipated to launch in mid 2020. He has been with the company since 1992, most recently as General Manager of the Four Seasons Beijing.
Vikram Reddy has been named Regional Vice President and General Manager of the Four Seasons Macao, Cotai Strip. He was most recently the Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Mumbai.
Richard Schestak has been appointed General Manager of the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. He was most recently the General Manager of the Fairmont Marina Resort and Residences.
Sven Fitjer has been named General Manager of the Stones Hotel – Legian Bali. He is the former General Manager of the Hermitage Jakarta and Hotel Manager of the Laguna Resort & Spa, Bali.
The Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse has appointed Blair Fowler General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon.
Niek Hammer has been appointed General Manager of the Okura Prestige Bangkok. He was most recently in the same role at the Hotel Okura Macau.
Philippe Cavory has been appointed General Manager of the Anam Resort in Vietnam. For the past four years, he had been with YTL Hotels as Area General Manager in Malaysia.
The Dusit Thani Maldives has appointed Thomas Weber General Manager. He is the former Regional General Manager Maldives for the Diamonds Thudufushi Resort and the Athuruga Resort, both under the Planhotel Hospitality Group. Weber had previously served as General Manager of the Movenpick Resort Al Nawras, the Movenpick Hotel & Spa, Bangalore, and Oberwaid Kurhotel & Privatklinik in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
The Kahala Hotel & Resort has promoted Joe Ibarra to General Manager. He joined the resort in 2014, serving as Director of Front Office and Director of Rooms.
Adriano Vences is now overseeing the Murray, Hong Kong. He was most recently the General Manager of the Niccolo Chengdu.
Michael Ganster has been appointed General Manager of the Niccolo Chengdu, taking over from Adriano Vences. He is the former General Manager of the Fairmont Beijing and the dusitD2 Baraquda Pattaya.
Simon McHendry has been appointed General Manager of Temple House in Chengdu. He is the former General Manager of EAST, Beijing.
Guillaume Gallas is now in Hong Kong as Cluster General Manager of the Novotel Citygate Hong Kong and the Silveri Hong Kong – MGallery for AccorHotels. He was previously the General Manager for Novotel in Beijing and Sofitel in Macao.
Christopher Johnson has been appointed General Manager of the Marco Polo Jinjiang. He is the former General Manager of the Millennium Gaea Resort Hualien.
The Ritz-Carlton Bali has promoted Raymond Siek to Director of Culinary after he joined the resort as Executive Chef in 2017. He is the former Executive Chef of the Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen and the Shangri-La Sanya.
Kenny Kan has rejoined the Outrigger Hospitality Group in Honolulu as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer. He had previously served in corporate finance and strategic planning for the company before taking on his most recent role as Vice President, Capital Markets and Treasurer, for Alexander & Baldwin – Hawaii.
The AKARYN Hotel Group has appointed Eugene Chew Vice President of Development and Operations. Most recently, Chew worked for the Wine Collection in Thailand, initially as Operations Manager and later as Country Director of Operations.
Tomita Anderson has moved to the Prince Waikiki as Director of Sales and Marketing. Most recently, she served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Queen Kapi’olani.
Michael Aspiras has been named Executive Pastry Chef of the Hilton Sydney. He was most recently the Executive Pastry Chef at Le Petit Soufflé in Makati.
Aye Mon has been named Group Spa Director at Fusion Resorts in Vietnam. She is the former Spa Director and Executive Assistant Manager of the Fusion Resort Cam Ranh.
MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA
Kevork Deldelian has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer for Middle East and Africa at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels. He joined the company in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer.
Sam Ioannidis is now at the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh as General Manager. He has been with the company since 1998, most recently as opening General Manager of the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens. Ioannidis is the former General Manager of Four Seasons Baku and the Four Seasons Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island.
Manish Puri has been named General Manager of the Six Senses Shaharut in Israel, slated to open early 2020. He was most recently overseeing the Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali.
Wael Maatouk has been appointed General Manager of the Mondrian Doha. He is the former General Manager of the Sharq Village & Spa and the Ritz-Carlton Qatar.
Savino Leone has been named General Manager of the Jumeirah Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi. Savino was most recently the General Manager of the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa.
Tracey Oliver has been appointed General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert and Al Hamra Beach. Oliver was most recently overseeing the Hotel de l’Opera MGallery Collection in Hanoi.
Kifah Bin Hussein has been appointed General Manager of the Andaz Dubai The Palm. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hyatt Centric Palm Dubai.
Dominic Arel has been named General Manager of the Swissôtel Al Ghurair and Swissôtel Living Al Ghurair in Dubai. He was most recently the General Manager of the Alwadi Hotel Doha – Mgallery. He is the former Hotel Manager of the Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach and General Manager of the Sofitel Lisbon.
Amit Majumder adds the position of Vice President, Boutique Resorts for the Jumeirah Group to his current duties as General Manager of the Jumeirah Vittaveli.
Laith Naber has been appointed Hotel Manager of the Amman Marriott Hotel. He was most recently at the Renaissance Downtown Hotel Dubai as Resident Manager.
The Four Seasons Seychelles has appointed Leon Pink Resort Manager. He was most recently the Resort Manager of the One&Only Reethi Rah.
Jarrett Beaulieu has joined Rotana Hotels as Corporate Vice President – Food and Beverage Operations. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage Development and Openings EMEA at Hilton Worldwide.
Mohamed Wakeb has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing of the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr. He had previously served Fairmont Hotels as Director of Protocol and Government Affairs and Group Director of Government Relations.
Claudia Venturini has been appointed Executive Assistant Manager, Sales and Marketing, at the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas. She is the former Director of Sales and Marketing of the Hotel Amigo Brussels, the Ritz-Carlton Budapest, and the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo.
Stefano Conti has joined the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa as Chef de Cuisine. He had previously held chef positions at the Jumeirah Abu Dhabi and the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi.
Nicola van Heemsbergen has joined the Four Seasons Serengeti as Executive Sous Chef. He was previously in the same role at the Peninsula Manila for two years.
