With a new motto and numerous innovations, the ITB Berlin Convention 2026, which takes place in a few weeks, looks ahead to a tourism industry that is facing a wide variety of tasks and challenges. This year's three-day event will once again present a highly topical programme offering unusual perspectives, exciting case studies and lively discussion panels.
In the course of 200 sessions and 17 theme tracks, more than 400 renowned experts and speakers from business and academia will debate sustainable business models, technological innovations and industry-relevant megatrends on four stages. The programme is now available online at ITB Berlin Convention 2026 programme.
All sessions can be followed on site or via live stream via the ITB Navigator – ITB Berlin's central event platform with information on exhibitors, the convention and event programme, and hall plans. Afterwards, the content will also be available on the ITB Berlin YouTube channel.

Will AI agents soon be booking holidays?
The potential applications of artificial intelligence in tourism are once again the focus of numerous contributions this year, in which the new technology is examined from various perspectives. The most important stage for this topic is the eTravel Stage in Hall 6.1. As part of the Travel Tech Track, the AI Track and the Tours & Activities Track, the convention will discuss the contours of a travel world increasingly shaped by algorithms and data streams. Exciting insights into the complex world of artificial intelligence are promised by presentations and contributions from leading international experts such as Martin Stoll (CEO, Sparkloft Media), Alex Chen (CTO, Fliggy), Wendy Olson Killion (CEO, Rome2Rio) and Alex Bainbridge (CEO, Autoura).
Strategies for balance in tourism
The balance between different players and requirements in tourism will be the focus of the Orange Stage in Hall 7.1 a. In the context of the Marketing & Distribution Track, the Future Track and the Responsible Tourism Track, experts from a wide range of disciplines will discuss the possibilities of sustainable corporate strategies, analyse consumer and marketing trends and consider the changing conditions of a crisis-prone environment. Exclusive information and insights will be provided by Mitra Sorrells (SVP Content, Phocuswright), Anke Hsu (Chief Growth Officer, Chain4Travel) and Sarah Kopit (Editor-in-Chief, Skift), among others.
New formats offer compact practical knowledge
The Green Stage in Hall 3.1 is dedicated to individual target group markets and special interest segments. Forums such as the Hospitality Track, the Diversity & Inclusion Track, the Business Travel Track and the Adventure, Youth & Outdoor Track look at trends within the LGBTQ community, ask about contemporary forms of travel for people with disabilities and discuss new strategies for target group analysis and marketing. Exciting insights are promised by the presentation by Camilo Navarro, COO & Co-Founder of Wheeltheworld, the leading travel platform for people with physical disabilities. Ideas and concepts for positioning tourist destinations will be presented by Florian Größwang (Innovation Ecosystem Builder, TourCert Austria). With ITB Deep Dives and ITB Tech Time, the ITB Berlin Convention 2026 will also present two new information formats on the Green Stage, providing the audience with highly useful and compact practical knowledge.
Important impetus for destination management
The Blue Stage in Hall 7.1 b is an indispensable forum for tour operators, airlines, tourist offices, cruise companies and the hotel industry. The Carrier & Cruise Track, the Tour Operator & Travel Sales Track, the Destination Track and the Hospitality Track look at new developments in the tour operator and sales market, analyse important trends among airlines and cruise operators, and offer strategy options for the hotel industry and destination areas. Fresh ideas on this topic are promised by, among others, Maximilian Hillmeier (Director of Tourism, Bad Hindelang), who will present successful strategies in destination management.
ITB Transition Lab: From strategy to action
Lively demand is also expected for the ITB Transition Lab, which is being continued after its premiere in 2025. As in the previous year, participants can expect a compact programme with high practical benefits. Marketing experts from the destination and hospitality sectors will present data-based recommendations for action in 90-minute interactive formats.
