Mark Birtha, a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, has been promoted to President of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain. He was most recently in the same role at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Northfield Park.
Cornell graduate Christian Hempell was promoted by the InterContinental Hotels Group to Senior Vice President for Global Loyalty and Partnerships. He has been with the group for 15 years, originally based in London as Director of Global Strategy.
Gabor Vida has moved to the Rosewood Washington, D.C. as General Manager, taking over from Pascal Forotti. Vida was most recently the Managing Director at Rosewood’s Inn of the Anasazi.
Gonçalo Monteiro has joined the Four Seasons Montreal as General Manager. He was most recently the Hotel Manager of the Four Seasons Macao, Cotai Strip.
Julien Bardet has joined the West Hollywood Edition as General Manager. He was most recently serving as Hotel Manager at the St. Regis Bal Harbour. Bardet is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the St. Regis New York.
Vincent Vienne has moved within Highgate Hotels to the Knickerbocker as General Manager. He was most recently with Highgate’s The Quin as Managing Director. In his previous career with ACCOR, he was the General Manager of both the Sofitel Philadelphia and the Sofitel New York.
Xavier Moulin has been appointed General Manager at 1 Hotel & Homes Cabo. The Lausanne graduate was most recently the General Manager of Amanera in the Dominican Republic.

at Amanera. She has previously overseen the Auberge Mukul Resort in Nicaragua, the Ritz-Carlton Langkawi, and Amanyara.
Nikki Carlson has joined the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in Sacramento as General Manager. Most recently, she served as General Manager of the Hotel Zoe, Fisherman’s Wharf and the former General Manager at the Hotel Triton.
Ryan Cunningham has joined the Alise San Francisco as General Manager. He was most recently the Hotel Manager
at the Proper Hotel

Hector Ladeveze has been named General Manager of the W Costa Rica. The Lausanne graduate is the former Hotel Manager at the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel and Towers.
The Lotte New York Palace Towers has appointed Brent Howard as Director. He joined the hotel in 2015 as Assistant Front Office Manager before moving into the role of Meetings and Events Manager in 2016.
Mauricio Patino has been named General Manager at the Innside by Meliá New York Hotel. He was most recently serving as the Complex General Manager with Highgate Hotels in the Boston area.
Travis Bary has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at National Hospitality Group. He is the former Executive Vice President with Wyndham Vacation Ownership.
George Schweitzer has been appointed Managing Director at the Benson Hotel in Portland. He is the former Chief Executive Officer at West Coast Event Productions and a Regional Vice President at Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
Sean Gazey has been named General Manager of the Hotel Yountville. He is the former General Manager at the Marriott Residence Inn Jacksonville, and Resort Manager at One Ocean Resort & Spa in Atlantic Beach.
Jason Altberger has been named Chief Investment Officer at Sage Hospitality. For the past 18 years he had been with DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, most recently as Managing Director.
Donald Stamets is the new General Manager at Solage Calistoga. He was most recently Area Managing Director
at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort.
Nate Hardesty has been named General Manager at the Andaz West Hollywood. He was most recently with Hyatt Hotels as Regional Vice President of Sales Eastern Region.
Clay Andrews has been named General Manager at the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood, slated to open early 2019. Andrews also serves a dual role as Director of Operations for the West Coast Region for Oxford Hotels & Resorts. He is the former General Manager at the Hotel Figueroa, the Warner Center Marriott, and the Hotel ZaZa.
Lindsay Jones has been appointed General Manager of Marriott’s Moxy San Diego Downtown/Gaslamp Quarter. She was most recently the Director of Rooms at the Kona Kai Resort & Spa in San Diego.
The Kimpton Cardinal Hotel Winston-Salem has named Kelly Brown General Manager. She was most recently the General Manager at the Inn at Diamond Cove located in New England.
Heinrich Morio has been named General Manager at the Ocean Key Resort & Spa. He was most recently with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as Chief Hospitality Advisor to the Office of Royal Private Affairs.
Gabe Isaac has joined the 21c Museum Hotel Lexington as General Manager. Isaac was previously the Operations Director for A/D/O Brooklyn and General Manager at the 21c Cincinnati.
Steven Boswell has been appointed General Manager at the Palm Mountain Resort & Spa in Palm Springs. He was most recently the Regional Managing Director at the Nautical Beachfront Resort and Tivoli Lodge.

The Four Seasons Montreal has appointed Sergio Moreira Director of Food and Beverage. For the past year, he had served as opening General Manager at Bikini Island and Mountain Hotel at Palma de Mallorca Island in Spain.
Carlos Villacanas has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Anguilla. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage of the Saadiyat Rotana in Abu Dhabi.
Hawks Cay Resort has named Joseph Salviolo Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently with the Yellowstone Club as Executive Assistant Manager and Director of Food and Beverage.
Amit Kumar Sen is the new Director of Food and Beverage at the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, Curaçao. He was most recently in a similar role at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.
Josh Littman has joined InterContinental Hotels Group as Head of Luxury Development. He was most recently the Vice President and Head of Development, EMEA for Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos.
Mandy Holloway has been named Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Montage International. She was most recently the Vice President of Human Resources at Universal Studios Hollywood, NBC Universal.
After 15 years with Four Seasons Austin Watkins has left to join Timbers Resorts as Global Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously held sales and marketing positions with the Four Seasons
Hualalai, the Four Seasons Singapore, and the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
Ana Cruz has been promoted to Director of Marketing at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. She joined the hotel in 2014 as a Group Sales Manager before being promoted to Assistant Director of Sales in 2015 and Director of Sales in 2016.
Kristina Lazos has been named opening Director of Marketing for the Four Seasons One Dalton, Boston. She was most recently the Director of Sales at the Beverly Wilshire. Lazos is the former Director of Catering for both the Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour and the Ritz-Carlton South Beach.
Maureen O’Brien has been appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sixty Hotels. O’Brien was most recently the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Denihan Hospitality Group.
Kenneth Ng has moved as Director of Marketing and Commerce to the Mandarin Oriental Boston. For the past ten years, he had served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the InterContinental Boston.
Tim Powers is now in Mexico as Director of Marketing for the Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas slated to open in 2019. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Four Seasons St. Louis. Thierry Delourneaux has joined the Waldorf-Astoria Arizona Biltmore as Executive Pastry Chef. He hails from the St. Regis Washington, D.C. and also served in the same capacity at New York’s Rainbow Room.

Jan-Paul Kroese has joined the InterContinental Amstel as General Manager. He is the former General Manager of the Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and the Château St. Gerlach.

Curry Kucherer is now in Hawaii as Director of National Accounts at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. For the past 12 years, she had been in various roles at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson.
