JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group has named Gilda Perez-Alvarado Chief Executive Officer, Americas. She was most recently serving the company as Managing Director.

Chris Cahill and Jean-Jacques Morin have been promoted to Deputy Chief Executive Officers at AccorHotels. Cahill was most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer Luxury Brands and Chief Executive Officers North America, Central America and Caribbean Region. Morin was most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer.

Chris Sariego has joined Brightline in Miami as Chief Operating Officer. He was most recently Vice President and General Manager for SLS Miami and the Caribbean. Prior to that, Sariego was the Vice President and General Manager of Atlantis the Cove and the Reef in the Bahamas.

Rui Barros has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for Habitas in New York. He was most recently with WeWork as Senior Vice President, Head of Operations – US/Canada East.

Erik Anderouard has been named Senior Vice President, North America, at Millennium Hotels and Resorts. He is the former Senior Vice President Operations at the Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

Chris Lee has been named General Manager 
of the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City. Lee was most recently the Hotel Manager at the InterContinental Cleveland and the former Director of Operations
 for Canyon Ranch.

Julien Bardet has joined the The West Hollywood Edition as General Manager. Bardet is the former Hotel Manager at the St. Regis Bal Harbour and the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the St. Regis New York.

Luca Merino has been appointed General Manager at the Radisson RED Portland Downtown in Oregon. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at Le Méridien Chambers Minneapolis.

Mike Nelson has been named General Manager of the Alexandrian Hotel and Morrison House. He was most recently overseeing the Union Station Hotel Nashville.

Peter Wright has taken over from Mike Nelson at the Union Station Hotel Nashville as General Manager. Wright was most recently in the same position at the Hotel ICON.

Murray Lowe has been appointed General Manager of the Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler. He is the former General Manager of the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills.

Joe Bolash has been named General Manager of the Hilton Austin. He was most recently the General Manager at the Hilton Granite Park in Plano.

Lance Marrin has been named General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. He is the former General Manager of the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, the Grand Hyatt Dallas Fort Worth, and the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.

Zachary Jellson has been appointed General Manager of the Kimpton Goodland in Goleta. He was most recently on the Guest Experience team at Kimpton corporate and previously served in front office posts with the Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Miami.

Beverly Magee has been appointed General Manager of the Four Seasons Baltimore. She was most recently the Hotel Manager of the Four Seasons Austin.

John Markunas has been appointed General Manager at the Sarasota Modern. He was most recently serving as General Manager at Kimpton‘s Hotel Zamora.

David Ahern is the new General Manager
 of Timber Cove in Sonoma. He was most recently the Director of Front Office Operations at the Sunset Tower Hotel. At Timber Cove, he takes over from Joseph Kirtley.

The Hilton Québec has named Jean-Francois Lincourt General Manager. Most recently, Lincourt served as Hotel Manager of the Fairmont Copley Plaza.

Ed Virtue has been named Vice President, Regional Director of Operations, at B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group. For the past 15 years, he had been with Kimpton Hotels, most recently as Area Director of Operations, Southern California, and General Manager Kimpton Hotel Palomar. Virtue is the former General Manager at the Hotel Monaco Washington, D.C.

Kimpton Hotels has named Marco Scherer Director of Operations, Los Angeles, and General Manager of the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. He has been with Kimpton for over 13 years, most recently as General Manager at Kimpton’s Hotel Allegro in Chicago. Scherer takes over for Ed Virtue.

Stephen Sowards has joined the Don CeSar Beach Resort as General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Queen Mary. Sowards is the former Vice President of Finance at the JRK Hotel Group and General Manager of Le Méridien Delfina Santa Monica.

The Motif Seattle has appointed Steve Sasso as General Manager. He is the former General Manager at the London New York City and General Manager at the Paramount Times Square.

Donald Bowman is transitioning as General Manager during the rebranding of the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas to the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Hotel & Residences. He was opening Hotel Manager for the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas in 2009.

Jean Louis Magron has been named Property Management Director at Rancho San Lucas. He was previously General Manager at the Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa.

Diego Weiss has been appointed Corporate Hospitality Director at Solmar Hotels & Resorts in Cabo San Lucas. He had previously served as Resort Manager at Esperanza.

John Santaniello has joined the Jupiter Hotel in Portland as General Manager. He is the former General Manager of the Snowking Resort and the Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain. Santaniello also gathered 10 years experience with Ritz-Carlton in various locations.

Timothy Wolfe has been appointed Complex General Manager for the Brown Palace Hotel & Spa and the Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown. He had previously served seven years as Area Managing Director for Pyramid Hotel Group.

Kristen Pikula has been named General Manager at the Sheraton Hartford Hotel at Bradley Airport. She was most recently the Director of Operations at the Marriott Hartford Downtown.

Mathieu Rivière is now in Northern California as Hotel Manager 
at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay. He was most recently in London as Hotel Manager at Grosvenor House. Rivière is a former General Manager of the Sofitel Lafayette Square in Washington, D.C.

Scott Case has been promoted to Hotel Manager at The Beekman in
 New York. He had joined the hotel in 2016 in his most recent role as Front Office Manager.

Richard Wales has been named Hotel Manager at the
 1 Hotel Miami. He was most recently the Director of Operations 
at the
 Claremont Club & Spa and previously in the Director of Operations at the St. Regis Aspen.

Omar Vega has joined the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center as Hotel Manager. He was most recently the 
Director of Food and Beverage for the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort. Vega had previously overseen food and beverage at the Loews Philadelphia and the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation.

Jeremiah Galvin has been appointed Vice President Finance, North America, at Millennium Hotels & Resorts. He was most recently the Vice President of Finance at HEI Hotels & Resorts.

Jim Mikolaichik has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Diamond Resorts Holdings in Las Vegas. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Hilton Grand Vacations.

James Russell has been named Director of Food and Beverage 
at the Virgin Hotel
 Chicago. He is the former General Manager of Fish by Jose Andres 
at the 
MGM National Harbor and Assistant General Manager at Jaleo by Jose Andres.

David Varley has been named Vice President Food and Beverage at Canyon Ranch. For the past ten years, he had been with the Mina Group, most recently as Vice President of Culinary Operations.

Brent Grider has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage at the Hotel Phillips Kansas City. He had previously served as Beverage Manager and Sommelier at Bread and Butter Concepts and was Complex Director of Restaurants and Bars for ten years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts/Westin & Sheraton at Crown Center.

Kevin Phenegar has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage at the Château Élan Winery & Resort in Georgia. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage at the Homestead Resort and previously in the same position at the Sagamore.

Hakan Akgun has joined the Rosewood Hotel Group as Vice President Engineering, Sustainability and Security. For the past 25 years, he had been with Hyatt Hotels, most recently as Corporate Director – Engineering & Sustainability, Americas.

Monica Digilio has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at Caesars Entertainment. She was most recently in a similar role for Montage Hotels and Resorts.

Diane Heppel has been named Director of Human Resources for the Marriott Dallas Allen & Watters Creek Convention Center, slated to open January 2019. She was previously Director of Recruiting for Pillar Hotels & Resorts.

Tony Lee has been named Vice President of Human Resources, North America, at Millennium Hotels and Resorts. He is the former Director of Human Resources for the Plaza Athénée New York.

Martha Sullivan has joined Travel Staff as Director of Hotel Recruitment. Sullivan is the former Director, Global Travel Industry Sales at LWH Hotels and Director of Sales and Marketing at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.

Mia Kyricos has been appointed Senior Vice President and Global Head of Wellbeing at Hyatt Hotels in Chicago. She is the former Chief Brand Officer at Spafinder Wellness.

Denise Mope has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas. Most recently, she served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Westin Dallas Downtown.

Ernesto Floro has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Lowell Hotel in New York. He moves over from his most recently position as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Pierre.

Johanna Philipps has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Rosewood Sand Hill. She joined the hotel in 2013 as a Group Sales Manager before being promoted to Associate Director of Sales and, most recently, Director of Sales.

Marline Avelar has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at Rosewood’s CordeValle. She joined the property in 2011 as Director of Group Sales before moving into her most recent role as Director of Sales.

Tracey Fentem has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica in Portsmouth. She was most recently in the same role at the Belmond La Samanna. Fentem is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort and Wymara in Turks and Caicos.

Liz Adams has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing – The Americas – at Associated Luxury Hotels International. She had joined the company earlier this year as Director of Corporate Marketing and Brand Communications. She is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for XV Beacon in Boston.

Janice Tugaoen has been appointed Area Director of Sales and Marketing at Kimpton Hotel Palomar Los Angeles. Previously, she was the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Westin Long Beach.

Susana Vento has joined the Hilton Miami Downtown as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Sales at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach and the Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour.

Nara Azevedo has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Washington Park Hotel in Miami. She was most recently serving the hotel as Senior Sales Manager.

Gregory Heinze has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Radisson RED Portland Downtown. Heinze is the former Director of Transient Sales at The Benson Hotel.

Dan Dolan has joined the Abbey Resort and Avani Spa, Lake Geneva as Director of Sales and Marketing. He is the former Account Executive for the Creative Group and President of Adjoin Meetings.

Becky Melchi has been named Director of Sales at Wingspread Retreat & Executive Conference Center. She had previously served as Senior Sales Manager for The Abbey Resort & Avani Spa.

Lauren Adams has been appointed Director of National Accounts at the Hotel del Coronado. For the past four years, Adams had been serving as Associate Director of Sales for the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at the Aventine.

Johanna Fein has been named Director of Communications at the Hotel Crescent Court. She was most recently a Senior Marketing Manager at Pinehurst in North Carolina.

Maureen Farley has been appointed Director of Special Events for the Park Hyatt New York. She was most recently the Director of Hospitality Sales for The Plaza Hotel.

Hadrian Fishel has been named Vice President of Revenue Management at Spire Hospitality. Fishel was most recently the Vice President of Revenue with Schulte Hospitality. He is the former corporate director of revenue with Aimbridge Hospitality, regional Vice President of revenue with Pillar Hotels & Resorts and Corporate Director of Revenue with First Hospitality Group.

Michael Santoro has been named Executive Chef at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He was previously in the same role at the Watergate Hotel.

Franck Steigerwald has moved to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lake. He was most recently the Executive Chef
 of the St. Regis Bal Harbour. Steigerwald is the former Executive Chef of the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead, the St. Regis New York, and the Taj Boston.

Brittany Valles has been named Executive Chef at the Oak Grill and Aqua Lounge in Newport Beach. She was previously in West Hollywood as Chef de Cuisine at the former ink.well by Michael Voltaggio.

Robert Gioia has joined the Villas of Grand Cypress as Executive Chef. He was previously the Executive Sous Chef at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

Mark Kief has been appointed Director of Rooms at the Snow King Resort Hotel & Condos in Jackson, Wyoming. Keif was most recently the Director of Housekeeping for Floridays Resort in Orlando.

EUROPE

Richard Leuenberger has been appointed Managing Director at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in St. Moritz. He had joined the resort in 2016 as General Manager and had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage.

Kumar Mishra has moved as General Manager to the Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester. He was most recently in the same position at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire.

York Brandes has been appointed General Manager at the Parklane Resort & Spa in Cyprus. He is the former Vice President of Operations at General Hotel Management in Singapore.

Alexandra Högberg has been appointed Hotel Manager at the Zleep Hotel Upplands Väsby in Sweden, slated to open in 2019. She was most recently in various positions at the Motel L in Stockholm.

The Michelin Guide has named Gwendal Poullennec International Director, taking over from Michael Ellis. He has been with the group since 2003 in various roles.

The Savoy has named Fabrice Lasnon Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Murray, Hong Kong. Lasnon was previously the Executive Chef at the Palazzo Versace Dubai, Mandarin Oriental Bodrum, and La Mamounia.

William Hemming has been named Executive Chef at the soon-to-open Monkey Island Estate in Bray, Berkshire. He was most recently in a similar role at Simpson’s in the Strand.

Simpson’s in the Strand has appointed Adrian Martin Chef de Cuisine, taking over for William Hemming. Martin had been serving for the past two years as Executive Chef at the Curtain Hotel in London.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Marc Handl has been promoted to Regional Vice President at Rosewood. Handl joined Rosewood in 2017 as Area Managing Director for Rosewood Beijing.

Thomas Harlander has been named Managing Director of the Rosewood Bangkok, slated to open later this year. He was most recently at the Park Hyatt Seoul as General Manager.

Tim Bathke has been named Area General Manager at Warwick Hotels and Resorts Fiji. He was previously General Manager for six years at the Warwick Seattle.

Mark Eletr has been appointed Resort Manager at Hayman Island by InterContinental in Australia slated to open in 2019. Eletr was most recently Vice President and Regional Director of Operations at the Karma Group in Asia.

Joe Chang has been named Group Chief Financial Officer for Rosewood. He is the former Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln International, head of investment banking at Hauxin Securities, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Morgan Stanley China.

Duarte Correia has been appointed General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental, Canouan. Most recently, Correia led the rebranding of Essque Zalu Resort in Zanzibar.

Ed Brea has been named Managing Director of the Rosewood Yangon. He is the former General Manager of the Heritage Kempinski Yangon. Brea is the former General Manager of the One&Only Hayman Island and the Shangri-La Bangkok.

Victor Chen has been named General Manager at Le Meriden Goa Calangute. He was most recently the Resident Manager at the JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu.

Amitabh Rai has been appointed General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Bangalore. He was most recently at the Oberoi Gurgaon as General Manager.

Kurt Otto Wehinger has been named General Manager of the Pan Pacific Singapore. He was most recently the General Manager for the Parkroyal Darling Harbour and Area General Manager for Oceania.

Samit Ganguly has been appointed General Manager at the Hyatt Regency Phuket. Ganguly previously spent six years with the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place, initially as Director of Sales and Marketing and most recently as Hotel Manager. He is the former Director of Marketing at the Radisson Blu Plaza.

Chan Bee Hong has been appointed Senior Vice President, Finance, at the Pan Pacific Hotels Group. She was previously Vice President, Finance and Corporate Services, as well as Vice President, Operations, for Singapore and Thailand for the Furama Hotel Group.

Jack Johnson has been named Director of Facilities at Hawaii’s Turtle Bay Resort. Johnson was previously Chief Engineer for General Growth Properties of Honolulu.

Glenn Prudhomme has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the St. Regis Shenzhen. He was most recently in the same role for Laucala Island.

Michael Pearson has been named Director of Culinary at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in Shanghai. He was most recently Executive Chef at the Shangri-La Hotel Jing An, Shanghai City.

Thomas Henseler has been named Corporate Food and Beverage Director at Solmar Hotels & Resorts. Most recently, he served as General Manager for both La Residence d’Angkor, Cambodia and La Residence Phou Vao, Luang Prabang, Laos.

Jacqueline Freeman has been appointed Director of Talent Acquisition for Outrigger Hotels & Resorts. She had previously served in recruitment roles with Holland & Knight in Washington, D.C., and for Dechert in New York City.

Denice Lim has joined the St. Regis Singapore as Director of Marketing Communications. She was most recently in a similar role for the pre-opening of the InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay.

Jim Pedone has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. He was most recently in the same role at the St. Regis Princeville Resort. Pedone is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort, the Miramonte Resort and Spa, and La Quinta Resort & Club. He spent over 5 years as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Halekulani.

Gavin Maloney has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour. He is the former Director of Regional Sales, Southern Europe, for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Complex Director of Sales and Marketing for the Westin and Le Méridien Mina Seyahi, Resort and Marina Dubai.

Nikie Mok has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the W Kuala Lumpur. She was most recently in the same role at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

Catherine Cambra has been appointed Director of Public Relations and Communications at the Fairmont Orchid. She was most recently an account executive for Anthology Marketing Group.

Jamie Wong has been appointed Director of Revenue Management for Ohana Hotels by Outrigger. Wong is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at Highgate Hotels and Director of Revenue Management at Island Air.

Bruno Cerdan is now in India as Executive Chef at the Ritz-Carlton Bangalore. He is the former Executive Chef for Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts in Sri Lanka and the One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai.

Patricia Yeo has been appointed Corporate Chef at Shinta Mani Hotel Group and Executive Chef at the Treeline Urban Resort in Siem Reap. She is the former Executive Chef at Six Senses Zighy Bay and at Avani Luang Prabang in Laos.

Steven Black has been named Executive Chef at COMO Point Yamu in Phuket. He was most recently in a similar role at Wildflower at COMO The Treasury.

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Wael Maatouk has been appointed General Manager at the Habtoor Palace in Dubai. He is the former General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Sharq Village & Spa and Hotel Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Riyadh.

Torsten Obermann has been appointed General Manager at the Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay in Dubai, taking over from Stephen Meredith. Obermann is the former Area General Manager for JA Ocean View Hotel and The Walk.

Helen Jacobe has been appointed General Manager at the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa. She was most recently the Cluster General Manager of Myanmar for Hilton Hotels.

Michael Ellis has been named Chief Culinary Officer at Jumeirah. Ellis was most recently International Director at the Michelin Guide.

Maria Sabella has joined the Four Seasons Beirut as Director of Marketing. She was most recently with the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva as Director of Sales.
