After only just eight months as president and CEO of Proper Hospitality, Arash Azarbarzin has moved to Starwood Capital Group’s SH Group as President. He was previously with the SBE Hotel Group, where he served as President for 12 years.

Jumeirah has appointed Jose Silva Chief Executive Officer, replacing Stefan Leser who is leaving the company. Silva is the former Regional Vice President at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and General Manager of the Hotel George V Paris.

After 12 years with the Nadler Hotels Group, Robert Nadler has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Nadler Hotels Limited. Yvonne Jackson will replace him as interim CEO.

Joel Freyberg has been named Managing Director at the Royalton Park Avenue. He had previously overseen the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel, the Chatwal, and the Waldorf Towers.

Mary Rogers has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. She joined the resort in 2009 as Vice President of Operations, Rooms.

Patrick Siegel has been named General Manager
at Soho House New York. He was most recently serving as Director of Food and Beverage
at the Soho Grand Hotel.

John Remmers has been named General Manager at the Hotel Vitale and Area General Manager for Two Roads Hospitality in San Francisco. He is the former General Manager at the Hotel Nia.

Jason Hsiang has joined YOTEL in New York as Senior Vice President of Development for North America. He was most recently with Thor Equities as Senior Vice President of Hospitality.

Diego Fabian Heredia has joined the Viceroy L’Ermitage Beverly Hills as
General Manager. He was most recently overseeing the Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica. Heredia is the former General Manager for L’Horizon Resort and Spa.

Stephen Cummings has been appointed Managing Director at Universal’s Aventura Hotel in Orlando, slated to open in August 2018. He has been with Loews for more than 18 years, previously serving as General Manager at the former Loews Don CeSar Hotel and the Loews Denver Hotel.

Deepak Mehra has joined Le Méridien Delfina, Santa Monica as General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hilton Woodland Hills/Los Angeles.

Gilles Rebmann has been appointed General Manager at the Renaissance New York Midtown. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hotel Chandler in Midtown Manhattan and is the former Hotel Manager at the Novotel New York.

Raj Radke has joined the Ballantyne in Charlotte as General Manager. He was most recently the Hotel Manager for the St. Regis Deer Valley. Radke is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the St. Regis Aspen and the Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

Matt Alexander has been appointed President at Blackberry Farm. He has been a part of the Blackberry Farm team for 19 years and has been serving as Executive Vice President for the last seven years.

Dave Elcon has been named General Manager of the Vista Collina Resort in Napa Valley. He is the former Director of Rooms and Director of Operations for Bacara Resort & Spa (now the Ritz-Carlton Santa Barbara).

Gustavo Martínez is the new General Manager at the Villa del Sol Resort Zihuatanejo. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage at The Cape Cabo San Lucas. Martínez had previously overseen the Quinta Real Aguascalientes and the Quinta Real Huatulco.

Gabor Vida has moved with Rosewood Hotels to the Inn of the Anasazi as Managing Director. He was most recently serving as Hotel Manager at the Rosewood Sand Hill and had previously been the Director of Operations at the Rosewood Hotel London.

Brent McNally has joined the Gates Hotel South Beach Doubletree in Miami Beach as General Manager. Most recently, McNally served as General Manager for the Monterey Tides Hotel.

David Piscola has been appointed General Manager at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. The CIA graduate was most recently serving as General Manager at the Capital Hilton and had previously overseen the Hilton Atlanta Airport.

Brian Fahey is now in Milwaukee as General Manager at The Iron Horse Hotel. He was most recently the General Manager of the MADE Hotel New York.

Jacqueline Volkart is the new General Manager at the St. Regis San Francisco. Volkart was most recently the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton San Juan. She is the former Hotel Manager and General Manager at the Ritz‐Carlton Key Biscayne, the Ritz‐Carlton Battery Park, and the Ritz‐Carlton Coconut Grove. In San Francisco, she takes over from Toni Knorr.

Dennis Marcinik has been named General Manager
at the Virginian Hotel in Lynchburg. He was most recently the Director of Operations, Interim General Manager for the Lansdowne Resort & Spa, the Wild Dunes Resort, and the Inn and Spa at Loretto.

Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago has appointed Gabriel Constantin General Manager. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C. and the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Trump National Doral, Miami.

Kerem Kendigelen has joined the Playa Largo Resort & Spa as General Manager. He was most recently the
Director of Food and Beverage for the Ritz-Carlton San Juan Hotel & Casino.

The Naples Grande Beach Resort in Florida has named Paul Burke General Manager and Area Vice President. Burke was most recently President and Chief Operating Officer at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas.

Roger Ponce has joined the Ritz-Carlton Dallas as General Manager. He was most recently the Area Director of Operations – Western Region – for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. He is the former Hotel Manager and Executive Assistant Manager, Director of Rooms, for the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.

Shannon Foster has joined the Noelle Hotel in Nashville as General Manager. She is the former General Manager
at the Hotel Solamar and the Hotel La Jolla.

Giuseppe Lama is the new Managing Director at the Carmel Valley Ranch. He is the former Managing Director of The Resort at Pelican Hill and General Manager of the Hotel Del Coronado.

The Sophy Hyde Park in Chicago has named Anthony Beach General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hyatt Place Chicago-South/University Medical Center.

Gregory Polino has moved over as General Manager to the W Miami. He was most recently serving as Hotel Manager at sister property, W South Beach.

Philip Spee is now in Miami as General Manager at the Soho Beach House. He was most recently in the same position at Soho House New York. Spee is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and General Manager at the Redbury Hotel at Hollywood and Vine.

Roberto van Geenen has joined the newly branded Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara as General Manager. He was most recently overseeing the Ritz-Carlton Dallas and is the former General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach.

Alice Bouman has joined the Grace Vanderbilt in Newport, Rhode Island as General Manager. She was most recently the Resort Manager at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club. Bouman is the former Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Atlanta and Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Resort Lana’i, The Lodge at Koele.

Chris Sullivan is now in New York as Residences Manager
for the Ritz-Carlton Residences, North Hills. He was most recently the Residences Manager
at the Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA Live. Sullivan is the former Director of Rooms at the DUSITD2 Pasadena and Director of Operations for the Inn at Perry Cabin.

Timothy Baldwin has returned to Aspen as General Manager of the Residences at The Little Nell. He had previously been with the Little Nell as Director of Food and Beverage before taking on his most recent role as Director of Food and Beverage
at the Monarch Beach Resort.

Leonard Buckley has joined the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia as General Manager. Most recently, Buckley had been the General Manager of the Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill Hotel.

Darryll Adams has been named General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Residences, North Hills. He was most recently the General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia. Adam is the former Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island and the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples.

Dennis Clark has been appointed General Manager at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. He was most recently serving as General Manager at the Fairmont Mayakoba.

Heather Strauss has joined the Westin Fort Lauderdale as General Manager. She was most recently the General Manager at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Deerfield Beach Resort and Spa.

Jens Moesker has been appointed Regional Vice President, Pacific Northwest, and General Manager of the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, BC. He was most recently the Area Manager and General Manager of the Shangri-La Toronto.

The Adelphi Hotel has promoted Helen Watson to General Manager. She was most recently serving as the Director of Rooms.

Jason Kern has been named General Manager of the Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort, scheduled to open late summer. He is the former General Manager of the Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach Shores and most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hammock Beach Resort.

Bill Keena is the new General Manager of the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. He was most recently overseeing the Rivers Casino in Des Plaines.

The Renaissance New York has named Gilles Rebmann General Manager. He was most recently in the same role for Triumph Hotels’ Hotel Chandler in Midtown Manhattan. Rebmann is the former Hotel Manager at the Novotel New York.

Anthony Zamora has been promoted to Hotel Manager at the Langham Chicago. He was most recently serving as Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef.

Antonio Bugarin has joined the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills as Hotel Manager. He held the same position (also under the stewardship of General Manager Peter Bowling) at the One&Only Palmilla for 13 years.

Nijad Fares has moved to the W Hollywood Hotel & Residences 
as Director of Operations. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Viceroy Santa Monica. Fares is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Clift San Francisco.

Anne-Juliette Maurice has been named Director of Operations and Business Development at Wheatleigh. She was most recently the Vice President of Operations for the Main Street Hospitality Group. Maurice is the former General Manager of the Hotel Plaza Athénée New York and Director of Sales and Marketing at the Setai Fifth Avenue.

Peter Hansen has been appointed Director of Operations, Food and Beverage at the Hollywood Roosevelt. Hansen was most recently the Director of Operations at the new Mondrian Park Avenue.

Fabien Riviere has been named Director of Food and Beverage at Wheatleigh in Lenox. He had previously the overseen Studio in the Montage Laguna Beach, Felix at the Peninsula Hong Kong, and Mix Restaurant by Alain Ducasse at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

Michael Kaplan has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the Hotel Del Coronado. He was most recently with Grill Concepts as Area Director of Operations and Director of Beverage. Kaplan had previously served as Director of Operations at 9021Pho Restaurants and Fig & Olive.

Khalid Mirza has joined the Carmel Valley Ranch as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently in the same position at the Resort at Pelican Hill. Mirza is the former Director of Food and Beverage at La Costa and the Beverly Wilshire.

Martin Diehr has been named Director of Food and Beverage at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. He was most recently in a similar post at the Ponte Vedra Beach Inn and Club. Diehr had previously served as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage at the Ritz-Carlton Abama.

Johann Runarsson has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the Viceroy Snowmass. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage
for the PGA National Resort & Spa. Runarsson had previously overseen food and beverage for the JW Marriott Austin, the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa, and the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center.

Hayato Nogaki has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the Resort at Pelican Hill, taking over from Khalid Mirza. Nogaki is the former Resort Manager for the Henderson Resort.

Sam Woodworth has been appointed Director of Acquisitions and Business Development at Hospitality Ventures Management Group in Atlanta. He as most recently the Manager of Acquisitions and Development for Trump Hotels.

Jesse Luis has been named Vice President of Development at Foxwoods Resort Casino. He was most recently Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development for the Newark Community Economic Development Corporation.

Elizabeth Norberg has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at Loews Hotels & Resorts in New York. She was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at RLH Corp.

Julie Inman has been named Director of Human Resources at RAR Hospitality in San Diego. She was most recently in the same role for Smith & Noble Home and is the former Human Resources Manager at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa.

Donny Samora has been named Director, Brand Management at the Viceroy Hotel Group. He is the former Senior Marketing Manager for the Viceroy Hotel Downtown Los Angeles.

Sonesta International Hotels has appointed Blair McSheffrey Vice President of Global and Hotel Sales. He was most recently the Vice President, Hotel Commercial Performance, at InterContinental Hotels Group.

Sean Christie has moved to MGM Resorts in Las Vegas as President of Events and Nightlife. Since 2007, he had been with Wynn Resorts, most recently as Executive Vice President of Business Development.

Claudia Pérez has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at Rosewood Puebla in Mexico. She had previously held a number of positions with Marriott International on both the corporate and property levels before moving into her most recent role as Corporate Director of New Products and Portfolio at Universidad de Valle de México.

Jean Spaulding has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Villas of Grand Cypress in Orlando. She was most recently overseeing sales and marketing for the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

Stuart McColl has been named Regional Director of Sales and Marketing at the Fairmont Washington, D.C. Previously, he had served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Fairmont Mayakoba and Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for the Southeast US and Mexico for AccorHotels.

Tim Dupree has returned to Southern California to take over as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Jeremy in West Hollywood. For the past 2 years, he had been in Austin, overseeing sales and marketing for the Hotel Granduca before taking over the same post at The Line Hotel. Dupree had previously served in sales and marketing posts at the Montage Beverly Hills, the Hotel Bel-Air and the Beverly Hills Hotel.

The Kimpton Ink48 Hotel has appointed Ileana Acosta Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently at Gild Hall as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Dawn Aronson has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Carmel Mission Inn. She is the former Director of Sales for Monterey Peninsula Inns and a Global Account Executive and Meeting Planner for ConferenceDirect.

Rene McCoy has been named Director of Sales Mid-Atlantic at Teneo Hospitality Group. She was previously with Starwood Hotels & Resorts as an Account Director based in Washington, D.C.

Chaya Donne has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hotel Nia in Menlo Park, slated to open in the Spring. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Events at the Stanford Park Hotel.

Linda Menshon has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort in Naples. For the past three years, she had been in the same position at the Naples Bay Resort. Menshon is the former Director of Sales at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota.

Julie Barajas has been named Director of Event Sales at Viceroy’s Hotel Zelos in San Francisco. She was most recently a Catering Sales Manager at the St. Regis San Francisco.

Don Ehehalt is now with the Riviera Country Club as Director of Catering. He had previously served in similar posts with the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills and the Beverly Hills Hotel.

George Nickels has returned to Beverly Hills to take on the post of Director of Catering for the Beverly Wilshire. Nickels had previously overseen catering and conference services at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills and the Montage Beverly Hills before taking on his most recent role as Executive Director, District Events at the Faena Hotel Miami Beach.

Sébastien Giannini has been named Executive Chef at the St. Regis Washington, D.C. Giannini was most recently the Executive Chef and at the W Montreal.

Jacques Sorci has been appointed Vice President Culinary Global at the Hakkasan Group. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Lotte New York Palace.

David Gingrass has joined Press in Napa as Executive Chef. He is the former Corporate Chef for Pacific Catch Fresh Fish Grill and Trader Vic’s.

Greg Wiener has been appointed Executive Chef for The Estate at the Hotel Yountville. He is the former Executive Chef and Director of Restaurants at the Buttes Marriott Resort and Executive Sous Chef at The Boulders.

Charles Wilson has joined Edgewood Tahoe as Executive Chef, taking over from Frank Stagnaro, the resort’s Executive Chef for over 25 years. Wilson is the former Vice President of Food and Beverage at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino and Executive Chef/Director of Culinary Operations at the Caesars Palace Las Vegas.

Logan Stephenson has been named Executive Chef at the Kimpton Amara Resort and Spa in Sedona. He was most recently the Chef de Cuisine at Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix.

Charleston’s The Restoration Hotel has been named Jordan Moore Executive Chef. He had previously led the kitchen at Charleston’s Juliet and Burwell’s Stonefire Grill. Sommelier Chelsea Nightengale also joins the hotel as Director of Food and Beverage.

The Willows Hotel & Spa in San Diego has named Antonio Votta as Executive Chef for Locale and the Ginger Noodle Bar. Votta was most recently the Executive Chef of The MINA Test Kitchen and he is the former Chef de Cuisine at MB Post, under David LeFevre.

Marc Suennemann has joined The Whitley in Buckhead as Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Chef of the Emory Conference Center Hotel in Atlanta.

Jeff Jake has been named Executive Chef

Fairmont Grand Del Mar. He is the former Executive Chef

David Goette has been appointed Executive Chef at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale. He was most recently the Group Executive Chef/Operations Officer at Old Town Italy in South Africa.

Mathieu Giraud has joined

Erin Poders has been named Director of Rooms at the Malibu Beach Inn Hotel and Spa. Poders was most recently the

EUROPE

Karin Sheppard is now in London for InterContinental Hotels as Managing Director, Europe. She was most recently serving the group as Managing Director, Australasia and Japan.

Alain Brière has joined the Luxury Business Institute as Group Vice President Hospitality, based in Paris. For the past ten years, he had been with the Oetker Group as Vice President Communications.

The Ritz-Carlton Budapest has named Rahim Abu Omar General Manager. Most recently, he was the General Manager of the Gulf Hotel Bahrain.

Laetitia Elmaleh has moved to the Hotel De Berri in Paris as General Manager. She was most recently in the same post at the Hotel De Sers. Elmaleh is the former General Manager at Paris’ Hotel Pont Royal.

Johan Scheepers has been appointed General Manager at the Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square. He had previously been with The Maslow Hotel and the Sun City Resort in South Africa.

Simon Mason has been appointed General Manager at the Richmond Apart-Hotel in Liverpool. He is the former Operations Manager at the Holiday Inn at Lime Street.

Gillian Mylles has joined the Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square as Hotel Manager. Mylles was previously with the Hotel Du Vin Edinburgh, the De Vere Slayley Hall, and Malmaison in Aberdeen.

Mirko Marchi has joined the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa as Director of Food and Beverage. Marchi was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage at the Marriott Newport Beach and had previously served as the Director of Operations for the Miramonte Resort & Spa.

Eliot Sandiford has been appointed to the newly created role of Regional Director of Public Relations at Set Hotels in London. Since 2016 he has been the Director of Public Relations for Set Hotels’ Hotel Café Royal in London.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Rajiv Malhotra has rejoined The Oberoi Group as Senior Vice President – Operations, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, India. The Cornell graduate was previously with the group from 1986 to 1999 before moving over to Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. Malhotra is the former General Manager at the Four Seasons Bora Bora, the Four Seasons Atlanta and, most recently at the Four Seasons Costa Rica.

Navjit Ahluwalia has been appointed Senior Vice President and Country Head, India, for Hilton International, based in India. He was previously with Marriott International as Senior Vice President.

Adam Crocini has joined the Capella Hotel Group in Singapore as Vice President Operations. He was most recently the Executive Director of Food and Beverage 
at
 Marina Bay Sands.

Jatin Khanna has been appointed Vice President and Head of Operations, India, Marriott International, taking over from Andre Gomez. Khanna was previously with Marriott as Vice President, Bengaluru and General Manager for the Bengaluru Marriott Hotel.

Leanne Harwood takes over from Karin Sheppard as Managing Director, Australasia and Japan at InterContinental Hotels Group. Harwood was most recently serving the group as Vice President Operations South East Asia and Korea, based in Bangkok.

Madhav Sehgal has joined the Andaz Delhi as General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager at Hyatt Regency Chennai.

Nikolaos Chatzipetros has been named General Manager of the Wanda Vista Beijiing (the former Sofitel Wanda Beijing). He is the former General Manager
of the Wanda Vista Tianjin and the Anantara Mui Ne.

Christian Gerart is now in Bali as General Manager of the Samaya Seminyak Bali. He was most recently the General Manager
 of the Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi.

Laurent Boisdron has been named General Manager of the Conrad Manila. He is the former General Manager at the Radisson Blu Cebu.

Sammy Carolus has been appointed General Manager of Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit. He was most recently the General Manager of the Grand Hyatt Taipei.

Pankaj Dhingra has been named General Manager of the Swiss-Belhotel Brisbane. He was most recently at the NEXT Hotel Brisbane as Executive Assistant Manager.

James Wilson has been appointed General Manager at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok. He is the former General Manager at the Centara Grand West Bay Hotel Doha, the Millennium Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi, and the Dusit Thani Dubai.

Terada Susumu has been appointed General Manager at the Brighton Grand Hotel Pattaya. He is the former General Manager of the Hua Chang Heritage Hotel Bangkok.

Serge Cuypers has moved as Hotel Manager to the Hilton Singapore. He was most recently the Director of Operations
at the London Hilton On Park Lane. Cuypers is the former Director of Operations at the Conrad Dubai and the Conrad Seoul.

Marc Walz has been named Hotel Manager at the Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort. He was most recently at the Park Hyatt Shanghai as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage.

Jason LeDoux is now at the Peninsula Bangkok as Resident Manager. He was most recently serving as Interim Director of Food and Beverage at the Peninsula Chicago after serving as Director of Rooms
for three years.

Cheyne Manalo has been named Assistant Vice President of Information Technology at Aqua-Aston Hospitality in Honolulu. He is the former Senior Director of IT at Foodland Supermarkets.

Jason Waterlow is now on Oahu as Director of Food and Beverage at Halekulani. He was most recently in the same post for the Inn at Little Washington. Waterlow had previously overseen food and beverage at the San Ysidro Ranch and the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa.

Ryosuke Yakuwa has returned to Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas as Director of Sales and Marketing for new projects and pre-openings. He had previously served the company as Director of Sales and Marketing for Asia, Pacific and the United States before taking on his most recent role as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui.

Kelly Teo has joined the St. Regis Hong Kong as Director of Sales and Marketing. Teo is the former Director of Sales and Marketing
at the Shangri-La Hotel Hong Kong and the EDITION Sanya.

Stefan Goehcke has been appointed Executive Chef at the Six Senses Laamu in the Maldives. He is the former Executive Chef at Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain resorts in St. Lucia as well as Gili Lankanfushi and Baros in the Maldives

David Faull has been appointed General Manager at the Sundus Rotana in Muscat. He is the former General Manager of the Centro Barsha Rotana and the Burjuman Arjaan.

Martin Cramer has joined the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi as General Manager. He is the former General Manager of the Sheraton Abu Dhabi and the Sheraton Oman.
