Resident Hotels rebrands as The Sirius Hotel Group

This rebrand of Resident Hotels, the privately-owned independent hotel company, signals the company’s ambition, supported by its owners, to grow with capital partners as a specialist hotel management platform developing and operating prime city centre hotels.

The group’s reputation-led track-record for developing, repositioning and operating hotels, was reaffirmed in 2025 with the successful conversion of four Four Points Flex by Sheraton and the trading performance success of The Resident Edinburgh, which opened at the end of 2024.

Four Points Flex by Sheraton cemented the group’s partnership as a Marriott International franchisee and The Resident Edinburgh confirmed the creativity and skill in delivering office-to-hotel conversions.

The Sirius Hotel Group’s strategy is to grow the portfolio by more than 20 hotels in the next to six to 10 years, taking the group to 31 hotels.

David JM Orr, CEO, The Sirius Hotel Group, said: “Our track record shows we are a differentiated independent and specialist hotel management company, developing and delivering across both the upper upscale and midscale segments; it is time to give our platform an identity the business, owners and teams deserve.

“We have the evidence to reassure prospective investors; generating exceptional returns, securing high brand reputation scores and strong operational performance from our city centre hotels with commercial strategies and data systems that deliver for owners. As The Sirius Hotel Group, we can demonstrate what we bring to the professional, skilled and specialist investor community the sector has grown with and learnt with over the last 20 years.”

Ameesh Shah, CFO, commented: “2025 was defined by projects that strengthened returns and enhanced long‑term value. The progress we made across key openings and conversions has reinforced the commercial foundations of our platform and positioned us for sustained performance in the years ahead.

“The opening of The Resident Edinburgh and the conversion of Sleeperz into the Four Points Flex by Sheraton portfolio highlight our ability to deliver complex development, renovation and conversion projects that materially improve asset value and operational efficiency. These capabilities are key to driving sustainable investor returns.

“Our ownership mindset and industry experience ensure strong alignment with investors, while our integrated approach to design, development and operations consistently delivers enhanced brand presence and commercial impact. The Sirius Hotel Group is building a reputation for deep expertise, disciplined execution and a modern, data‑driven operating model that supports long‑term value creation.”

Orr said:  “The addition of the Four Points Flex by Sheraton brand has broadened our appeal and shown that we’re not just one brand, we’re a platform capable of powering multiple brands across different market segments.

"I have had reputation as my guide since first coming into the sector and it has remained a theme.  With NPS scores above 85 and all The Resident hotels in London in the Top 10 on TripAdvisor as at 20th March, we have a reputation our guests really understand. For me the logic is that prospective investors can trust the reputation as much as guests and we can demonstrate that.

“We see also long-term value being delivered sustainably through innovation and expertise but also the corporate memory and track record of delivering.  As an independent and specialist platform we offer a uniquely flexible ability to apply our skills too, with the opening of The Resident Edinburgh, we have shown exactly how that creativity and experience in development is successful in 2026.”

Shah added: “The hotel sector is a mainstream but specialist asset class - it is entirely logical that investors seek to align with specialists. The Sirius Hotel Group can bring the thorough understanding of the complexities and apply solutions to help investors realise and exceed their investment goals.”

Looking ahead, the128-room The Resident Farringdon is due to open in early 2029. It will be the fourth London site for the brand, taking it to a total portfolio of six properties across the UK with Liverpool and Edinburgh.

The Resident Farringdon has been designed with a focus on creating a highly-sustainable building. Situated at 1-8 Long Lane, it will be at the heart of the Culture Mile, with easy access to the Barbican, Smithfield and Farringdon neighbourhoods. From 2026 the area will also be home to the London Museum, as part of the Smithfield General Market regeneration.
