Troy Pade has joined the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood as General Manager. He is the former General Manager at the Surrey Hotel New York, the Viceroy Santa Monica, and the Hotel Shangri-La Santa Monica.

Darrell Sheaffer has been named Executive Director of The Buckingham in Houston. He was most recently the Director of Assets and Development for Al Rayyan Hospitality.

Kai Lermen takes over from Max Schroeder with his promotion to General Manager at the Quail Lodge and Golf Club. Lermen was most recently serving the resort as Assistant General Manager/Clubhouse Manager. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Peninsula Chicago and had previously held the position of Executive Chef for the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia, the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach, and the Ritz-Carlton Osaka.

Timber Cove has appointed Caroline Appel General Manager. She was most recently serving as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Marina del Rey Hotel.

The Jefferson Washington, D.C. has promoted David Bueno to General Manager. He had previously served the hotel as Director of Food and Beverage and, most recently, Hotel Manager.

James Barela has been promoted to Vice President at Edward Thomas Company. He was most recently the General Manager at their property Casa Del Mar.

The Hotel Casa Del Mar has named Charlie Lopez-Quintana General Manager, taking over from James Barela. For the past eight years Lopez-Quintana had been at Terranea Resort as Executive Director of Resort Operations.

Pascal Bertrand has been appointed General Manager at BodyHoliday Saint Lucia. He was most recently the General Manager at Azuri on Mauritius.

Dan Johnson has been appointed General Manager at the Hyatt Regency Austin. He has been with Hyatt Hotels for more than 23 years, most recently as General Manager for the Hyatt Regency Savannah.

Craig Greenberg has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for 21c Museum Hotels in Louisville, taking over from co-founder Steve Wilson. Greenberg will remain in his current role as President. He is a former attorney with Frost Brown Todd in Louisville.

Douglas Brennan has been named General Manager at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel Toronto International Airport. He has been with Starwood Hotels & Resorts since 2009, most recently as General Manager of the Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort.

Michael Heater and Jim Cavallo have been named Regional Operation Leaders at Midas Hospitality. Heater was most recently serving as General Manager for the Candlewood Suites Greenville and Cavallo is the former Area Vice President of Operations for Crestline Hotels & Resorts.

Tiago Sarmento has been named General Manager at the Belmond Cap Juluca. He was most recently overseeing the Belmond Hotel das Cataratas. Sarmento is the former Hotel Manager at the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, Puerto Rico.

Matthew La Vine has joined the Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells as General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager at the Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder and the former General Manager at the Fess Parker Doubletree Resort Santa Barbara.

Andreas Schmidt has been named Managing Director of the Grand Velas Los Cabos Resort. Most recently, he was Brand and Quality Director at Karisma Hotels.

Maria Del Pilar Perciavalle has joined the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit Resort as Managing Director. She was previously with Iberostar in Cuba, Argentina, Jamaica and Mexico.

La Quinta Resort & Club has appointed Victor Woo General Manager. Woo was most recently the Executive Vice President of The Bay Club Company.

Thomas Lind has been named General Manager for The Hotel at Avalon, slated to open January 2018 in Alpharetta, Georgia. He is the former Principal for Ankaret-Hospitality Advisors, Senior Vice President for Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, and Chief Operating Officer for Elysian.

Matt Jacobs has been promoted to President at Swift Hospitality Group. He has been with the group since 2004, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Operations.

John Maibach has joined the Loews Regency New York as General Manager. He was most recently in the same position for the Loews Boston Hotel.

Derek McCann has been appointed Managing Director at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. He is the former Managing Director at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort and had previously served as Vice President and Hotel Manager at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville.

Michel Garnier has joined Best Western as Regional Services Manager for Quebec, Eastern Ontario, Northern New York and the Maritimes. He joins Best Western following an international career as General Manager in Mali, Puerto Rico, Romania and Canada.

Ghee Alexander has been promoted to Vice President of Operations – Southwest for Prism Hotels & Resorts. He is the former General Manager at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Memphis Downtown and the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort.

Rodney Ferguson has been appointed Chief Executive Officer/General Manager at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee. He has previously served the resort as Chief Financial Officer and, most recently, Chief Operating Officer.

Hilton Hotels International has named Alan Watts Executive Vice President and President, Asia Pacific taking over from Martin Rinck. Watts was most recently with InterContinental Hotels as Chief Operating Officer – Asia, Middle East and Africa.

The Montage Los Cabos has appointed Marco Ortlam General Manager. Ortlam was most recently the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas. He is the former Hotel Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Cancun.

Chintan Dadhich has moved over as General Manager to the Conrad Fort Lauderdale. Most recently, he served as the General Manager of the Conrad Miami. Dadhich is the former Director of Operations and Resort Manager at the Arizona Biltmore.

Audrey Oswell has been named President and Managing Director of Atlantis, Paradise Island. She had previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Gaming Officer for the resort.

Jan Verweij has been appointed Resort Manager at Quail Lodge & Golf Club. He is the former Director of Front Office at the Peninsula Chicago.

Shane Downey has joined the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel as Hotel Manager. He had been at the Marriott Marquis Doha as Director of Food and Beverage since 2012.

Jill Clark has been appointed Director of Operations at Canyon Ranch in Tucson. Since 2015, she had been serving as General Manager at Mii amo Spa at the Enchantment Resort in Sedona.

Jen Thompson has been appointed Corporate Controller at L.E. Hotels. Thompson is the former Controller at the Hotel Portofino and Marina and Chief Financial Officer at Westerly Wines.

Doug Ficke has been promoted to Director of Accounting at RAR Hospitality. For the past three years he had served as the Corporate Accounting Manager for RAR.

Vasileios Ioannou has been appointed to the newly created position of Corporate Director of Food and Beverage at Arbor Lodging Management. He was most recently with the Westin Chicago Northwest as Assistant General Manager.

Jason Joniloni has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the Stonewall Resort. He was most recently overseeing Mise en Place Culinary Consulting in Tucson. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at Dollywood’s Dreammore Resort & Spa and the Snoqualmie Casino.

Paul Tilson has been named Food and Beverage Director at the Hotel Californian in Santa Barbara. He was most recently the Wine Director at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. Tilson has previously held food and beverage posts with the Patina Group in Los Angeles, Meadowood Napa Valley, and the Alpha Omega Winery.

Daniel Spingler has joined the Sonnenalp Resort Vail as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously served in food and beverage positions with the St. Regis San Francisco, the St. Regis Dubai, and the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has named Nicolas Kurban Vice President of Restaurants and Bars–East. Kurban is the former Chief Operating Officer at Innovative Dining Group.

Scott Gingerich has been promoted at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants to Vice President of Restaurant and Bars–West. Gingerich joined the company in 2015 as Regional Vice President, Restaurants and Bars.

Patrice Borie has been named Director Food and Beverage at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Barbados. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at Sandy Lane and the Regent Palms.

Heinrich von Puschendorf has been named Food and Beverage Director at Cliff House Maine. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage at the Grand Del Mar and Director of Operations at the Stowe Mountain Lodge.

Hyatt Hotels has named Mark Vondrasek Executive Vice President, Global Head of Loyalty and New Business Platforms. Most recently, he was with Starwood Hotels & Resorts as Senior Vice President and Commercial Services Officer.

Hilton Hotels has named Craig Dezern Vice President Brand Communications. For the past 20 years he had served in various posts at the Walt Disney Company.

RLH Corporation has named Paul Sacco Chief Development Officer, Upscale Brands & Corporate Development. For the past four years, he had been serving as President and Chief Development Officer at TPG Hotels & Resorts.

Luisa Marciano has been appointed Vice President of Human Resources at the Dream Hotel Group. Most recently, Marciano worked with LJS Human Resources Services.

Max Schroeder has joined Peninsula Hotels Chicago sales office as Regional Director of Sales. He had previously served as Director of Corporate Sales at the Peninsula Chicago before joining Quail Lodge and Golf Club, most recently as General Manager.

Dawn Gallagher has been promoted to Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Crescent Hotels & Resorts. Gallagher was most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

Turnberry Isle Miami has named Shane Allor Director of Sales and Marketing. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa and Director of Sales for the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa.

Polly Ann Elliott has been appointed Area Director of Sales for Hotel Equities Properties in Charleston. She is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for the Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Historic District.

Barbara Rodriguez has joined the Faena Group as Group Sales – Northeast & Insurance. She was most recently the Director of National Accounts at Eau Palm Beach Resort and Spa.

Maggie Mojica has moved over as Director of Sales to the St. Regis New York. She was most recently in the same role at the New York Hilton Midtown. Mojica is the former Director of Sales at the Waldorf=Astoria New York.

Robert Marusi is now in Newport Beach as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Resort at Pelican Hill. He was most recently with the Hamilton Princess Bermuda as Director of Sales.

Kyle Dunavant has been named Vice President of Marketing at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa. He is the former Vice President of Marketing at the Hollywood Casino in St. Louis and Director of Marketing Strategy & Analysis ­ Regional Operations for MGM Resorts.

Danielle Inzano is the new Director of Sales and Marketing for Dream Downtown. She was most recently the Director of Sales for the Soho Grand Hotel.

Brigette Bienvenu has joined the W Fort Lauderdale as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the W Hollywood.

James Gregg has moved over to the Marriott Marquis San Francisco as Director of Group Sales. He was most recently with the Hotel Nikko San Francisco as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Paula Ruthenberg has been named Director of Group Sales East Coast for One&Only Palmilla. She was most recently a National Sales Manager at the Loews Hollywood.

Liana Elghazi has been named Director of Sales at Timber Cove. She had previously held various roles with the Marina del Rey Hotel and the JW Marriott Santa Monica Le Merigot.

The AC Hotel San Francisco Airport/Oyster Point Waterfront has appointed Jenay Peters as Director of Sales. She was most recently with the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway as a Senior Sales Manager.

Candace Mauerhan has been named Director of Catering Conference Services at the Mason & Rook Hotel in Washington, D.C. She is the former Assistant Director of Catering for Embassy Suites Washington, D.C. Convention Center and Director of Catering director at the Compass Group in Washington, D.C.

Marybeth Gilliland has been appointed Director of Catering the Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara. She is the former Event Director at the Fess Parker Doubletree Resort.

Sophie Jones has been named Director of Catering at the Sofitel Los Angeles. She is the former Director of Events for the W Hollywood.

Carlo Bigi has joined The Bowery Hotel in New York as Executive Chef. He was most recently the Chef de Cuisine at Il Buco Alimentari e Vineria in New York.

John Gray is the new Chef at the Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Hotel Pullman Miami.

Jack Spiess has been promoted to Executive Chef at the Plantation on Crystal River. Spiess was most recently serving as Sous Chef. He had previously been the Executive Chef at Le Pichet and worked for seven years for the Tom Douglas Restaurant Group, both in Seattle.

The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel has named Derek Breitbach Executive Chef. He was previously the Sous Chef at the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy.

Geoffrey Morden has joined the Westin Ottawa as Executive Chef. He is the former Executive Chef at the Shaw Centre Ottawa, the Fairmont Chateau Laurier, and the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Benjamin Kunert has joined the Hotel Californian as Pastry Chef. Most recently, he was the Executive Pastry Chef at Hotel Atlantis and the Giardino Group in Switzerland.

Daniel Zomerfeld has joined the InterContinental San Francisco as Director of Outlets. He most recently spent eight years at the Taj Campton Place Hotel in San Francisco in various roles.

Mark Bernardo has been appointed Director of Venues at the Hotel Californian. He was most recently the General Manager with the SBE Entertainment Group at the Doheny Room.

Jean-Pierre Yvart is the new Restaurant Manager at Atelier De Joel Robuchon in New York. He was most recently with Spring Place as Food and Beverage Manager. He had previously overseen Wild Sage at the Rusty Parrot Lodge and Spa and Cakebread Ranch, both in Jackson Hole.

Gaye Steinke has been named Vice President of Spa and Wellness at East West Destination Hospitality. She had previously served as General Manager of the Spa Anjali at the Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa.

EUROPE

Sam Ioannidis as the pre-opening General Manager for the recently announced Four Seasons Astir Palace in Athens. He is the former General Manager at the Four Seasons Baku and the Four Seasons Abu Dhabi.

Fergus Stewart has been promoted at InterContinental Hotels to Vice President, Luxury, based in London. He was previously serving as Vice President Operations, overseeing 65 properties in the Middle East.

Pierre-Henri Perrin has been named General Manager at the W Paris Opéra. He is the former General Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Paris Saint Denis and Resident Manager at the Renaissance Barcelona.

Romain Meiran has moved over to the Cheval Blanc Paris as General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager at the Cheval Blanc Courchevel. Meiran had previously served in management roles for the Royal Mansour Marrakech, Le Meurice Paris, and the Hotel Le Crillon.

Laurent Branover takes over from Romain Meiran as General Manager for the Hotel Cheval Blanc Courchevel. Branover was most recently the General Manager at La Reserve Geneva. He is the former General Manager for the Palais Namaskar and Hotel Manager at the Raffles Singapore.

Natalia Kashirskaya has been appointed General Manager at the Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko in Bulgaria. She was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Kempinski Hotel and Residences Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.

Jérôme Billy has been appointed General Manager at the Hotel Westminster in Paris. He had previously served as Managing Director of the Warwick Reine Astrid – Lyon after three years as Managing Director of Hotel Villa Massalia in Marseille.

Hieu To takes over from Jérôme Billy as Hotel Manager of the Warwick Reine Astrid. He had previously spent 30 years in various roles at the Hotel Raphaël in Paris.

The Sanders in Copenhagen slated to open next month has named Nikolaj Tamakloe General Manager. He is the former Hotel Manager at the Nimb Hotel in Copenhagen and Director of Operations for the Maersk Group.

Ali Afshar has been promoted Regional General Manager at Warwick International Hotels. He joined the Hotel Warwick Champs-Elysées Paris in 2014 after serving four years as General Manager at the Warwick Reine Astrid – Lyon.

Steven Wilmer has been promoted to General Manager at Malmaison Cheltenham. He joined the hotel in 2016 as Deputy General Manager after serving in the same role for the Hotel du Vin Harrogate.

Emma Dore has been appointed General Manager at the Hotel du Vin & Bistro Wimbledon. She is the former General Manager at the Malmasion Oxford.

Marcus Cameroni has been appointed General Manager at the IntercityHotel Magdeburg. He was most recently Director of Leisure Sales at the Deutsche Hospitality corporate office.

Mark Payne takes over from Robin Ford as General Manager for the Park Regis Birmingham. For the past six years, he had been at De Vere Tortworth Court as General Manager.

Fernando Rojo has joined the SHA Wellness Clinic as General Manager. He had previously overseen the Hotel StandArt Moscow and the Barvikha Hotel & Spa.

Xavier Hubert has been appointed Director of Operations at the Waldorf Hilton London. He was most recently serving as Director of Operations for the Hilton London Gatwick Airport. Hubert is the former Director of Food and Beverage at Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace Versailles.

Robin Ford has been promoted to Operations Director for Fiveways Hospitality. Ford was most recently overseeing Fiveways’ Park Regis Birmingham.

Sandrine Adam has been named Group Director of Sales and Marketing – Europe for Warwick International Hotels in Paris. Since January she had been serving as Director of Sales and Marketing ­ Europe. Adam is the former Regional Director at Preferred Hotels & Resorts.

Véronique Sanner has been appointed Global Account Director American Market at Warwick International Hotels. She was previously the Director of Sales at the Hôtel de Crillon.

Francis Bertrand has joined Warwick International Hotels as Director of Global Sales. He is the former Director of Regional Sales for Concorde Hotels and Millennium Hotels & Resorts and had previously spent 17 years with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.

Katy Viner has joined The Courthouse Hotel as Events and Sales Manager. She was most recently the Wedding, Events & Reservation Manager at Belle Epoque.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Derek Flint has been named General Manager at the St. Regis Hong Kong. He was most recently in the same post for the JW Marriott Singapore South Beach. Flint is the former General Manager at the Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai and the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne.

Jerry Mong has joined the W Xi‘an as General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager at the Angsana Xi’an Lintong.

Deborah Haines has been named General Manager at the Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok. She was most recently the District Director Radisson Russia and General Manager for the Radisson Blu Paradise Resort and Spa. Haines is the former General Manager of the Radisson Blu Grand Hotel in Bulgaria and the Radisson Blu Durham.

Michael Koth has been appointed General Manager at the InterContinental Bali Resort. He was most recently serving as Director of Operations and General Manager InterContinental Jordan.

Brad Calder is the new General Manager at the Hurawalhi Island Resort in the Maldives. He was most recently the Resort Manager at the Gili Lankanfushi Maldives. Calder is the former Executive Assistant Manager at the Hard Rock Hotel Bali.

Franck Seguin has been appointed General Manager for the Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort. Most recently, he was the General Manager of the Banyan Tree Takamaka. He is the former General Manager of the Angsana Balaclava and the InterContinental Balaclava, both on Mauritius.

Marcel Holman has been appointed General Manager at the Sukhothai Shanghai. He was previously the General Manager of Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Taipei.

Marcus Dudley has been appointed General Manager at the Sage Hotel Melbourne Ringwood. He was most recently the General Manager at the Mövenpick Doha.

Pravin Kumar has been promoted to General Manager at the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa. He was most recently the Director of Operations.

James Coleman has been appointed General Manager at the Sage Hotel Adelaide. He was most recently the General Manager at the Oasia Hotel Downtown, Singapore.

Garth Solly has been named General Manager at QT Museum Wellington. He was most recently Group General Manager for the Kauri Cliffs Lodge, the Cape Kidnappers Lodge, and Matakauri Lodge.

Jim Pedone is now in Hawaii as Director of Sales and Marketing at the St. Regis Princeville Resort. He was most recently in the same position at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage.

Vanessa Kong has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at Marco Polo Hotels in Hong Kong. She was most recently Director of Sales and Marketing at Banyan Tree and Angsana Bintan.

Kelly Teo has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Shangri-La Hotel Hong Kong. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Edition Hotel Sanya. Teo is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen and the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey.

Ron Sandvig has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui. He was most recently the Director of Travel Sales for the Island Hotel in Newport Beach. Sandvig is the former Vice President Travel Industry Sales for Terranea Resort.

Werner du Preez has joined Denis Private Island in the Seychelles as Resident Manager. He is the former Deputy General Manager at the Radisson Blu Gautrain.

Jessica Ferreira has been named Executive Assistant Manager for the Radisson Blu Gautrain in Johannesburg. She was most recently in the similar position at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton.

Michel Checoury has joined Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in Dubai as Chief Financial Officer. He was most recently in the same position with Aman Resorts.

The St. Regis Doha has appointed Rebecca Platt Director of Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Marketing/Communications for the Shangri-La Hotel Muscat.
