It was just announced that Chris Cahill, the Chief Operating Officer of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, has announced his resignation to assume a senior leadership role with the Las Vegas Sands Corporation. In November 2011, Jennifer Fox had taken on the role of President of Fairmont, while Cahill remained as Chief Operating Officer.

Brad Wilson has moved his shingle from Denihan Hospitality where he had been the Chief Operating Officer since 2008, to become the President of Ace. Wilson had brought to Denihan the James brand of which he was a co founder. He was part of the founding team of W Hotels Worldwide, where he stayed for seven years.

Jim Donald has been named Chief Executive Officer for Extended Stay Hotels replacing Gary DeLapp. Donald was previously serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Starbucks, and was most recently the President and Chief Executive Officer for Haggen.

Denihan Hospitality Group has promoted Danette Opaczewski to Executive Vice President, Operations. Immediately prior to joining Denihan as Senior Vice President, Asset Management, in 2008, Opaczewski spent three years as Chief Financial Officer for the James. Her career also included stints with Morgans Hotel Group and Ian Schrager Hotels.

Hans Hordijk is the new General Manager for the Plaza New York (a Fairmont Hotel), taking over from Shane Krige. Hordijk was most recently the General Manager at the Fairmont Beijing. He is a former Vice President of the defunct Echelon Las Vegas.

Denise Flanders is the new General Manager of the Hotel Bel-Air. She had previously been with Four Seasons for twenty-three years, most recently serving as General Manager at the Four Seasons Chicago. At the Bel-Air, she replaces Tim Lee.

John O'Sullivan is the new General Manager at the Four Seasons Punta Mita. He is the former General Manager of the Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran Bay and of the Four Seasons Cairo at First Residence.

Lausanne grad Alejandro Helbling has moved to the Ritz-Carlton Reserve Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico as pre-opening General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Bulgari Resort Bali. He is the former General Manager of the Hotel Villa Padierna in Marbella and of the Ritz-Carlton Montreal.

Tod Morrow has moved to the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City as General Manager. He was most recently in the same post for the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta. He is the former Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead.

Jim Gross is the new General Manager of the Sir Francis Drake San Francisco. He is the former General Manager of the Sheraton Mahwah and the Crowne Plaza Somerset New Jersey.

Steven Terrebonne has returned to the AVIA Long Beach to take up the post of General Manager. He was previously the Director of Food and Beverage/Executive Chef for the hotel, before taking on his most recent role as General Manager for the Hyatt, The Pike Long Beach.

The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa has appointed Paul Devitt General Manager, replacing Cheryl Phelps. For the past five years, Devitt had been with the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach as General Manager. He is the former General Manager for the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh Airport.

Jacques Hamou has been appointed General Manager for the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino. He was most recently serving as General Manager for the Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain.

Edward Shapard is the new General Manager of the Elbow Beach Bermuda (a Mandarin Oriental Hotel), taking over from Frank Stocek who is now in Kuala Lumpur. Shapard is the former Hotel Manager for the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and the Mandarin Oriental New York.

Jeff Wardlaw has been named General Manager for the Hotel Contessa in San Antonio. He was most recently serving as Acting General Manager for the Heldrich Hotel and Conference Center in New Brunswick.

Jon Coleman has been appointed General Manager at Le Méridien Arlington. He was most recently the General Manager of the Sheraton Rockville.

Richard Levine is the new Chief Legal Officer for Orient-Express Hotels, based in New York. He was most recently with Kerzner International as Executive Vice President and General Counsel.

David Curell has joined the Saguaro Palm Springs as General Manager. He is the former General Manager of the Clift Hotel in San Francisco and the Viceroy Santa Monica. 
 
Sandor Winkler has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Palace Resorts. He joined the company in 2004, most recently serving as Director of Tourism.

André Zotoff has been appointed General Manager of the Fairmont Vancouver. He was most recently the General Manager of the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park .

Taking over for Zotoff as General Manager of the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park is Mark Huntley. He is the former Regional Vice President and General Manager for the Savoy London and the Fairmont San Francisco.

The Westin Resort Los Cabos has named Beat Meier General Manager. He was most recently overseeing the Westin Playa Conchal Resort & Spa in Costa Rica.

Mexico's Las Alamandas has named Dorota Antoszkiewicz General Manager. Antoszkiewicz was most recently the General Manager of Casa Aramara in Punta Mita.

Diego Heredia returns to the Avalon in Beverly Hills to take over for Pradeep Raman in the position of General Manager. Heredia was the previous Hotel Manager for the hotel before moving into the role of Hotel Manager for the Viceroy Santa Monica and to his most recent position as General Manager for the Viceroy Palm Springs.

Brent Gresham has been named General Manager of the French Quarter Inn in Charleston, taking over from Bernard Visscher. The Lausanne graduate is a former General Manager at the Inn at Dos Brisas and Director of Operations for Woodlands Inn.

John Vasatka has been appointed General Manager for the Veranda Resort in Turks and Caicos. He was most recently with Amanresorts in Jordan and had previously served as General Manager of Amanyara, Amanwella and Amanpulo.

Stuart Weintraub has been named General Manager for the Richmond Hotel in Miami. He was most recently the General Manager for the Shelborne Beach Resort.

Jim Finnegan has moved to the Magnolia Denver as General Manager. He was most recently in the same position for the Magnolia Omaha.

Mark Plonkey has been promoted to General Manager of Denver's Hotel Teatro, from the position of Assistant General Manager. He had also worked at the hotel in the positions of Front Office Manager and Rooms Division Manager.

Henry Walther has been appointed General Manager of the Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa. Most recently, Walther served as Managing Director of the Fairmont Princess in Acapulco.

Kanwaljeet 'Rikki' Boparai has been appointed General Manager of ONE Bal Harbor Hotel & Spa, now operated by Benchmark Hospitality. He transfers from the Naples Bay Resort. He has served Benchmark in several capacities and several locations over the years.

Christian Rehmke has been appointed Director of Residence at the Four Seasons Punta Mita. He is the former Front Office Manager at the Four Seasons Santa Barbara and Assistant Director of Rooms with the Four Seasons Scottsdale.

Marc Bromley is the new Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Costa Rica. He was most recently serving as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Palm Beach. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Washington, D.C. and Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Chicago.  

Loga Nathan has been promoted to Hotel Manager and moved to the Four Seasons San Francisco. He has been with the company since 1996, most recently as Director of Rooms at the Beverly Wilshire. He is the former Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Washington, D.C. and Assistant Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons George V.

Michelle Le Sage has been appointed Hotel Manager for the soon to reopen Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia. She is the former General Manager of the Westerly Hotel & Convention Centre in Courtenay.

The Four Seasons New York has named Franck Savoy Director of Food and Beverage. He comes from Las Vegas where he was the Director of Restaurants, Lounges, Pools and Food and Beverage at Caesars Palace.

Carlos Bueno has joined the Boston Harbor Hotel as Director of Food and Beverage. He had been serving in the same post for the past three years with the Fairmont Vancouver. He had previously served in food and beverage management positions for the Plaza, the Ritz-Carlton New York and the Four Seasons New York.

Sean Carney has joined the West Paces Hotel Group as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage. For the past four years, he had been with Caneel Bay as Director of Food and Beverage.

Kevin Kenyon has joined the Houstonian as Director of Outlets. For the past two years, he had been the Director of Restaurants at the Ocean House in Rhode Island.

Pradeep Raman has moved to Las Vegas to take over as Senior Vice President Fine Dining, Food and Beverage, for Wynn Resorts. He was most recently the General Manager for the Avalon in Beverly Hills. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Peninsula Chicago.

Julien Surget is now in Miami with the Acqualina Resorts and Spas as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently at the Bucuti Beach Resort & Tara Suites in Aruba. Surget had previously held food and beverage management positions with the Mayfair Hotel and Spa in Miami and the Ritz-Carlton Club, Abaco.

Paula Dirks has been appointed Assistant Vice President Marketing by Mont Blanc. She is a former Director of Sales and Marketing at the St. Regis New York and had also served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Reid's Palace, an Orient Express property.

Doug Camp has joined the St. Regis Washington, D.C. as Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently in the same position for the Madison Hotel. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hay Adams.

La Quinta Resort & Club has named Rick Blackburn Executive Director of Sales and Marketing. He was previously the Director of Intermediary Sales for Marriott International. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas.

Preferred Group has appoints Christie Weller Director of Group Sales for Southern California and Southwest. The Cornell graduate was most recently with The Leading Hotels of the World where she served as Group Sales Manager in Southern California.  

Miguel Diaz is the new Director of Sales and Marketing for the Marenas Resort in Miami. He was most recently the Director of Sales for the Orlando World Center Marriott. 

Robert Harter has been appointed Director of Sales at L'Auberge Del Mar. For the past six years, he had served as Associate Director of Group Sales at La Costa Resort and Spa. He had previously spent nine years at Rancho Bernardo Inn in various roles.

Susan Corrigan has been promoted to Director of Sales at the Inn at Pocono Manor in Pennsylvania. She was most recently serving as Sales Manager for the resort and had previously served in a similar role for the Stoweflake Resort and Conference Center in Vermont. 

Jasper Verlaan has been appointed Director of Sales for the Magnolia Denver. He was most recently in the Netherlands with the Sandton Hotels Group.

Todd Scholl has been named Director of Sales for the Elms Hotel & Spa in Missouri. He had previously served in sales positions at the Hyatt Regency Tulsa, the Peabody Little Rock and the Canterbury in Indianapolis.

Brian Mulhall has been promoted to Director of Sales at the Eaglewood Resort & Spa. He joined the resort as a Senior Sales Manager after serving in the same post at the Affinia Chicago.  

Jason Kern has been appointed Director of Sales, Groups, for the Shores Resort & Spa in Florida. He was most recently with the Hammock Beach Resort as Director of Sales and Marketing. 

Kara Owen has been named to the newly created post of Director of Group Sales for the Skamania Lodge in Washington. She was most recently the Director of Sales for the RiverPlace Hotel in Portland and for the Portland Marriott City Center. 

Jeffrey Livingston has been appointed Associate Director of Sales at L'Auberge Del Mar. He was most recently serving as National Sales Manager for both L'Auberge and its former sister property, Estancia La Jolla.

Collin Thornton has been named Executive Chef at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. He was most recently serving as Executive Chef for the Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii.

Anthony Zamora has been named Executive Chef for the Conrad New York. He was most recently with the Four Seasons New York as Executive Chef. 

Derin Moore has been named Executive Chef at Turnberry Isle Miami. The CIA graduate was most recently the Executive Chef overseeing both the Ritz-Carlton Naples and the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort Naples.
 
Bryan Franz has been named Executive Chef for the Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Spokane. The CIA graduate was most recently serving as Executive Chef at the Davenport Hotel and Tower, also in Spokane.

Guy Santoro has been named Executive Chef for the St. Regis Mexico City. He is the former Executive Chef at the Presidente InterContinental Mexico City. 

John Lechleidner moves to WP24 at the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles, replacing Sara Johanes. Lechleidner was most recently at the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at LA Live.

Byron Wilson has joined the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp as Executive Chef. For the past four years, he had been at La Costa Resort and Spa as Executive Sous Chef/Senior Banquet Chef. He is the former Executive Sous Chef for the Marriott La Jolla.

Brother Luck has been named Executive Chef for the Hotel Contessa. He was most recently in a similar post at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado.  

The Joule Dallas has named Michael Sindoni Executive Chef. Most recently, he was Executive Chef of Againn in Washington, D.C. He is the former Executive Chef for Cervinia Restaurant in Mammoth Lakes and served in the kitchens for the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay.

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa has promoted Loren Lawe to Executive Chef. He had joined the resort in 2010 as Executive Sous Chef.

Andrés Julian Grundy, who was the chef at Pillar & Plough, now closed, in the Hotel Williamsburg, has become a consultant for Anella in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and the new Bellwether, from the same owners, in Williamsburg.        

Joel Harrington has joined the Joule Dallas as Executive Sous Chef. The CIA graduate has held culinary positions with Aquavit in New York, the Ritz-Carlton Dallas and the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain.

Pastry Chef Sally Camacho returns to WP24 at the Ritz-Carlton at LA LIVE. She was most recently overseeing the pastry program at the opening of Wolfgang Puck at the recently reopened Hotel Bel-Air while Cassie Ballard stepped into her post at WP24. Now Ballard has moved to the Hotel Bel-Air and Camacho returned to her original post at WP24.

Fabien Rivière is now in California, overseeing Studio at the Montage Laguna Beach. He was most recently the General Manager of Felix at the Peninsula Hong Kong. He had previously been based in Las Vegas overseeing Mix and Aureole.

Sean Loeffel has joined the Alcove Café & Bakery in Los Angeles as General Manager. He was previously with Four Seasons for seventeen years, overseeing food and beverage for the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, the former Four Seasons Olympic and the Four Seasons Wailea. Most recently, he was with Luxury Explorer TV as Vice President of Business Development.

Aaron Ide has moved as Director of Rooms to the Four Seasons New York. He was most recently in the same position for the Four Seasons Boston.  

Ulrich Schwer has moved as Director of Rooms to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. He was most recently in the same position for New York's Plaza.

Sarah Henderson returns to the Oak Bay Beach Hotel to take the post of Rooms Division Manager. She had previously been with the resort until its closing in 2006 and had most recently served in Executive Housekeeping posts for the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and the Fairmont St. Andrews in Scotland.

Ken Lee has been named Spa Director at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. He had previously held spa management positions at Sea Island, the JW Marriott Desert Springs and, most recently, the Hotel Hershey.

Fred Peelen passed away in February at age 70. He had retired in 2000 from a lifelong career with InterContinental Hotels, culminating with the position of President – The Americas.

EUROPE

David Anderson has joined Dolce Hotels & Resorts as Managing Director, Europe. He comes from Louvre Hotels, an affiliate of Starwood Capital, where he spent the past seventeen years, most recently as Vice President Operations, Northern Europe.

Fabrice Moizan has been promoted to General Manager of Paris' Hotel Fouquet's Barrière, taking over from Pierre Ferchaud. Moizan had held the position of Resident Manager at the hotel since October 2010. He is the former Resident Manager of the Royal Barrière and Operations Manager at the Normandy Barrière.

Paul Walters has been appointed General Manager at the Langham London. Since 2007, he had been based in Hong Kong for Langham as Vice President–Brands.

Bart Spoorenberg returns as General Manager of soon to reopen Castello di Casole in Tuscany. He is the former General Manager of the Hotel Romazzino and Hotel Manager of the Hotel Cala di Volpe.

Fabio Gallo has been appointed General Manager at ME London. For the past five years, he had been with the Cadogan London as General Manager. He is the former General Manager at the Baglioni, Director of Sales and Marketing at Grosvenor House and Director of Business Development at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

John Scanlon takes over the post of Hotel Manager for the Dorchester in London. Since 2008, he had served as Director of Revenue for parent company, the Dorchester Collection. He had previously served in various roles at the Lanesborough.

Milan Arandelovic has joined the Hilton Amsterdam Airport and will oversee Benelux for Hilton Worldwide. The Lausanne graduate was most recently serving as Area General Manager, Germany South, for Hilton based in Munich. He is the former Managing Director for the Rome Cavalieri and General Manager of the Hilton Rotterdam.

Alexandra Staffler takes over as General Manager at the Hilton Munich Park. She was previously with the Hilton Frankfurt.

Mario Egger has been appointed Hotel Manager at the Sheraton Prague Charles Square Hotel. He was most recently the Operations Manager in charge of food and beverage at the Sheraton Bratislava Hotel. 

Ana Brant has been promoted by the Dorchester Collection to the position of Director of Organizational Performance, reporting to Eugenio Pirri. She was previously the Director of Quality and Productivity for the Collection's Beverly Hills Hotel and Hotel Bel-Air, after transferring from the New York Palace. Brant originally joined the Dorchester Collection from Ritz-Carlton.

Dimitri Martin has joined Bulgari Hotels & Residences by Ritz-Carlton in London as pre-opening Chief Steward. Since 2008, he had been with the Ritz London, most recently as Chief Steward.

Leon Pellicer is now in Russia as Food and Beverage Manager for the future Four Seasons St. Petersburg. He was most recently with the St. Regis Puerto Rico as Director of Outlets. He had previously held food and beverage management positions with the St. Regis Deer Crest Resort and the St. Regis Atlanta.

Franck Ferigutti has been named Executive Chef at the Four Seasons Provence at Terre Blanche. He is the former Executive Chef at the Mandarin Oriental Hôtel du Rhône in Geneva.

Daniele Sera has been named Executive Chef of Castello di Casole in Tuscany. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Grand Hotel in Florence. He had previously held culinary posts for Rome's Hotel Splendide Royal, the Grand Hotel Via Veneto, the Hotel Regina Baglioni and the St. Regis Grand.

Italy's Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel has named Christoph Bob Executive Chef. He was formerly the Chef de Cuisine for eight years at the Relais Blu Villa Hotel in Massa Lubrense on the Sorrento Peninsula. He had previously served as Chef de Cuisine at the Grand Hotel Villa a Fetrinelli and was Sous Chef at La Pergola - Cavalieri Hilton in Rome.

Nicole Miller has joined the Four Seasons St. Petersburg as Spa Director. She was most recently in the same post with the St. Regis Puerto Rico.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Paul Toner has joined the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa as General Manager, taking over from Dan Banchiu who is retiring after 32 years with the company. Toner was most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality.

Manfred Weber has been named General Manager for the Shangri-La Singapore. He was most recently the General Manager at the Portman Ritz-Carlton Shanghai. He is the former General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Beijing and Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai.

Paul Cunningham has been appointed General Manager at the St. Regis Tianjin. He was most recently the General Manager for the Westin Hefei Baohe Hotel. He is the former Hotel Manager for the Westin Beijing Financial Street Hotel.

The Westin Hefei Baohe has appointed Douglas Ariza-Giammaria General Manager, taking over from Cunningham. He was most recently the Hotel Manager of the Westin Beijing Financial Street.

Santiago Sagaz has joined the Bulgari Bali as General Manager, taking over from Alejandro Helbling. Sagaz was most recently the General Manager of the JW Marriott Rio de Janeiro.

Shane Krige has been named General Manager for the soon-to-open Ritz-Carlton Bangalore. For the past five years, he had been the General Manager of the Plaza in New York. He is the former Managing Director of the Mansion on Turtle Creek and Hotel Manager of the Grosvenor House.

Peter Clarke has been promoted from Hotel Manager at the Pudong Shangri-La in Shanghai to the role of General Manager at the Kerry Pudong, Shanghai. Prior to joining Shangri-La, Clarke was the Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Gresham Palace in Budapest.

Chris Ong has been named General Manager of the Pan Pacific Ningbo and the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Ningbo. He was most recently overseeing the opening of the Sheraton Hsinchu Hotel in Taiwan.

John Vouillamoz has been appointed General Manager at the Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport. He was most recently the opening General Manager of the Holiday Inn Beijing Focus Square. He is the former General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Beijing.

Banyan Tree Resorts has named Reinhold Johann Area General Manager, Hotel Operations, based in Vietnam. He was most recently the General Manager of the Banyan Tree Ungasan.

Jamal Hussain takes over from Johann as General Manager of the Banyan Tree Ungasan. He was previously Banyan Tree's country manager for Indonesia.

Anders Dimblad is the new General Manager of the Banyan Tree Al Wadi in the UAE. He was most recently the General Manager of the Banyan Tree Seychelles.

Pancho Llamas has joined the Banyan Tree Riverside Shanghai as Area General Manager/VP of Operations. He was most recently overseeing the Laguna Phuket. He is the former General Manager of the Banyan Tree Mayakoba.

Hans Schaepman has been appointed General Manager at the Langham Xintiandi in Shanghai. He had previously served as Executive Assistant Manager at the Langham Pasadena before moving into his most recent role as Hotel Manager for the Langham Boston.

Vikram Singh has been named Regional Director India for Alila Hotels & Resorts and General Manager for the Alila Diwa Goa. He was most recently serving as Vice President - Operations for Archipelago Hotels & Resorts. He is the former General Manager at the Taj West End and the Taj Campton Place.

Dominik Stamm has been named General Manager of Le Méridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort in Thailand. He was most recently the General Manager at the Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui and had previously held the post of General Manager at the Mövenpick Saigon.

Raymond Zuest has been appointed Regional Director Operations & Projects with Swiss-Belhotel International based in Jakarta. He was most recently the General Manager at the Aston at Kuningan Suites Jakarta. He is the former pre-opening General Manager for the Royal Kamuela Villas & Spa Nusa Dua and General Manager for the Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa.

Christophe Le Chatton is now in China managing the Fairmont Peace Hotel Shanghai. He was most recently at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. He had previously served in food and beverage management posts for the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, the Fairmont Royal York and the Waldorf=Astoria.

Terry Hamada has joined Halekulani as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently the Hotel Manager of the Grand Park Otaru Hotel in Hokkaido.

Kieron Hunt has been named Director of Food and Beverage for the Peninsula Tokyo. He was most recently the Director of Operations for the Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao. He is the former Director of Operations for the Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun.

Julian Wipper has moved over as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage to the Island Shangri-La. He was most recently in the same position for the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. He had previously overseen food and beverage for the Shangri-La Chiang Mai.

Mark Wouters has joined the Mandarin Oriental Jakarta as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently overseeing the Huka Lodge in New Zealand.

Laurent Le Deu has joined the Waldorf Astoria, Shanghai on the Bund as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently in the same post for the Peninsula Beijing. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage for the Peninsula Manila.

Robert Hickcox has been named Director of Safety and Security for the Hilton Waikoloa Village. He was most recently serving in a similar post for the Fairmont Orchid Hotel and Resort and is a retired Hawaii police department Captain.

Langham Hospitality has appointed Anita Hemrajani Director of Global Sales – MICE, based in Hong Kong. She was most recently serving as Director of Sales - Groups, Meetings & Incentives at the InterContinental Hong Kong.

Rodger MacDonald has been named Director of Marketing at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Most recently, he had served as Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for Kona Village Resort and had previously overseen marketing and sales at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa.

Alexandre Trancher moves to Oahu to join Halekulani as Chef de Cuisine for their signature French restaurant, La Mer. He was most recently serving as Executive Chef at La Tour d'Argent in the New Otani Tokyo. He is a former Sous Chef for La Tour d'Argent in Paris.

Laurent Varachaud has transferred as Executive Chef to the Regent Singapore. He was most recently in the same role at the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa. He is a former Executive Sous Chef at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, and the Burj Al Arab.

The Mandarin Orchard Singapore has named Martin Braecker Executive Chef. He is the former Executive Chef at the Westin Wuhan and the Sheraton Creek Hotel & Towers in Dubai.

Hubert des Marais takes over from Collin Thornton as Executive Chef for the Fairmont Orchid. He is the former Executive Chef at the Fairmont Norfolk Nairobi. Des Marais previously spent eighteen years at the Four Seasons Palm Beach and when it was formerly known as the Ocean Grand.

Frank Ziegler has joined the Lebua New Delhi as pre-opening Executive Chef. He was most recently with the Lebua Bangkok in a similar role. He had previously held Sous Chef posts for the Wynn Macau, the Peninsula Chicago and the Delano.

Eric Scuiller has joined the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa as Executive Chef. He was most recently serving as Executive Chef for Celebrity Cruises Miami. He is the former Executive Chef at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Cancun and the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.

Kevin Thomson has been appointed Executive Chef at the Marriott Singapore. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong. He is the former Executive Chef at the Hilton on the Park in Melbourne and Executive Sous Chef for the Hilton Shanghai.

Matt Coates is the new pre-opening Executive Chef for the Chedi Club Suzhou. He is the former Executive Chef for the Sofitel Saigon Plaza, the Six Senses Resort at Koh Yao Noi and the Chedi Phuket.

John Nash is the new Chef de Cuisine for Lafite Restaurant in the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. He is the former Chef de Cuisine for the Ritz-Carlton Doha and the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City.

François Cnockaert, whose long career with Ritz-Carlton included stints as General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo, the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia and the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou, died of cancer in February in Jakarta. A Lausanne graduate, he spent eight years with Méridien Hotels prior to joining Ritz-Carlton in 1993 as Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Food and Beverage at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel.

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Andrew Milton has joined Constance Hotels on Mauritius as Chief Operating Officer. He was most recently the General Manager of the One&Only Le Saint Géran. He had previously spent over six years with the Constance Hotel Group, as General Manager of the Prince Maurice in Mauritius and the Lemuria Resort in the Seychelles.

Massimiliano Zanardi returns to the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul to take the post of General Manager. He had previously served as opening Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage, for the hotel. His past experience includes overseeing food and beverage at the Hotel Arts Barcelona and the Penha Longa Hotel & Golf Resort in Portugal. Most recently, he had served as General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt in Ireland.

The Raffles Praslin Seychelles has named Simon Hirst General Manager. He was previously the General Manager for One Aldwych, London before moving into his most recent role as Operations Director of CampbellGray Hotels. He is the former Hotel Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and General Manager of the Regent Chiang Mai.

The InterContinental Dubai Festival City has appointed Yannis Anagnostakis Area General Manager, replacing Tom Meyer who recently relocated to Bali with IHG. Anagnostakis was most recently the General Manager for the Emirates Towers.

Frank Wesselhoefft takes over from Anders Dimblad as General Manager of the Banyan Tree Seychelles. He was previously the Resort Manager for the Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi.

Tunay Dogan has been named General Manager of the BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana in Dubai. He was recently the General Manager for PGS Hotels in Phuket and had previously served as Assistant General Manager with the Hilton Dalaman.

Richard Bleakley has been named Resident Manager of the JW Marriott Dubai. He is the former General Manager of the Northhampton Marriott Hotel.

Ned Capeleris has been promoted to Hotel Manager and joined the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa. He was most recently serving as Executive Assistant Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Doha.

Hervé Duboscq has joined the Shangri-La Oman as Hotel Manager. He was most recently in the Seychelles as General Manager for the Sainte Anne Resort.

Jumeirah has appointed Adrian Bradley Chief Financial Officer. He was most recently with Hilton in London as Managing Director for London and UK Regional Hotels.

Florence Zwicky has been promoted to Director of Food and Beverage and joined the Four Seasons Bosphorus. The Lausanne graduate was most recently with the Beverly Wilshire as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. She is the former Director of Restaurants with the Four Seasons Santa Barbara and Food and Beverage Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago.

Antoine Pravin has joined the Hotel Armani Dubai as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage. He was most recently at the W Doha as Director of Food and Beverage.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Khalid Al Ashgar Regional Director of Sales in Saudi Arabia. He had previously served in sales positions at Rosewood's two Riyadh properties, Al Faisaliah Hotel and Hotel Al Khozama.

The Ritz-Carlton Dubai has promoted Luca Guerra to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. He joined the property in August 2011 as Director of Sales for the FIT/Leisure segment.

The Viceroy Hotel Group has appointed Andreas Kohn Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for the Middle East and Europe, based in Abu Dhabi. For the past five years, he had been in Singapore as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia.

André Jacques is now in Qatar as Director of Sales and Marketing at the St. Regis Doha. He was most recently in the same position for the St. Regis Washington, D.C.

Emilie Pignol has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Palais Namaskar in Marrakech for the Oetker Collection. She was previously the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Angsana Riads Collection.

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek has appointed Rekha Jayawardana Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Radisson Blu Residence, Dubai Marina.

Lorraine Sinclair is the new Executive Chef for the Istanbul Grand Tarabya. She is the former Executive Chef at the Eaton Hotel Hong Kong and the Mövenpick Istanbul.

Giovanni Terracciano has been named Executive Chef at the Mövenpick Istanbul. He is the former Executive Chef at Hotel Les Ottomans 29, Hotel Palazzo Donizetti, Cipriani Restaurant and the Istanbul Edition Hotel.

Deepak Mishra has been appointed Executive Chef at the Fairmont Dubai. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Swissôtel Kolkata.

Danny Kattar has been appointed Executive Chef at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi. He was most recently the Executive Chef for the Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites Yas Island. He is the former Executive Chef of the InterContinental Mzaar in Lebanon.

The Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai has appointed Winfried Helmetag Executive Chef. He is the former Executive Chef of the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates.

Alfonso Crescenzo has been appointed Chef de Cuisine of Splendido at the Ritz-Carlton Dubai. He was most recently the Chef de Cuisine of the InterContinental Dubai Festival City.
