Internet research expert to present on the future of search and online marketing, for the Canadian Tourism Industry.

Noted Internet research expert and eMarketer CEO Geoff Ramsey will be the featured keynote presenter at "Online Revealed Canada," the premier Canadian online tourism marketing event, taking place this year in Ottawa from May 15-17, 2006.

Mr. Ramsey will speak on how search advertising and online marketing are creating huge opportunities for the online tourism market, and how Canadian companies can use these marketing tools to open up doors to new customers.

"Online marketing is an essential tool that all travel and tourism companies need to adopt," said eMarketer CEO Geoff Ramsey. "Your customers are online; they're using search tools to find better deals and exciting locations. Travel companies can clearly benefit from understanding how to use paid search and natural search methods to increase their sites' standings.

Plus, new opportunities with local search, video search and behavioral targeting can help travel firms build awareness, drive conversions and reach new markets. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be the keynote presentation at this gathering of Canada's tourism industry."

The event will kick-off on May 15th with an opening reception celebrating Canadian culture, and then move into interactive sessions and panels on May 16th and 17th.  Hospitality industry professionals will hear groundbreaking discussions and case studies that will reveal the latest online trends as it relates to Canada in a Global marketplace.

Brought to you in association with The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) - Online Revealed Canada is the must attend event for Hospitality professionals, destinations, and agencies looking to learn best practices and to understand how the Internet has changed Tourism Marketing.

"In a world where e-marketing is becoming the focal point to increase brand awareness and reach consumers globally," Said Michele McKenzie, President and CEO of the Canadian Tourism Commission.  "The CTC is extremely excited to provide a forum to share best practices of how to leverage the power of the Internet to create synergies across Canadian destinations with the goal of generating targeted leads to travel and tourism providers."

With speakers from PhocusWright, Destination Marketing leaders Travel Alberta, Tourism British Columbia, Quebec Tourism, Tourism Banff Lake Louise, Canadian Tourism Commission, travel innovators Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Intrawest, and West Jet Airlines,  as well as The Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada (IAB) among others, the event will give attendees insight into marketing and delivering Canadian tourism product online.
