Initial deployment at key hotels throughout Australia and New Zealand.

IDeaS, the leading provider of revenue optimization solutions and one of the industry's fastest growing technology companies has announced that Australia's premier hotel group, Rydges Hotels and Resorts, has selected IDeaS as it revenue management partner and deployed IDeaS V5i ASP Revenue Optimization solution at key properties throughout Australia and New Zealand.

"Over the several months prior to selection of IDeaS V5i, we evaluated other revenue management solutions available in Australia and Asia. We selected IDeaS as our partner due to their track record locally as well as their ability to interface to our existing PMS / CRS vendors," said Christopher Lynch, Group Yield & Revenue Manager, Rydges Hotels & Resorts.

"We trialed the IDeaS V5i solution at several properties and found that the Group Pricing Module and the ability to view and consolidate information on clusters of hotels gave us information that has enabled better control of inventory at various levels. We realized solid results at all the hotels involved in the trial. Our first stage of deployment has been roughly 2200 rooms in 2005. We are looking to expand to our other properties in 2006."

"Rydges selected our ASP model system," said Grahame Tate, Managing Director, IDeaS, Asia Pacific. "V5i is functioning in a two way environment with the property management system and also uploading decisions to the central reservations system. The benefit of this approach for Rydges is that there is consistency between the restrictions in place at both the property management and central reservation systems. We are excited to have Rydges Hotels and Resorts as one of our valued clients and look forward to a long term partnership."
