The portfolio which composes of 137 members in 41 countries now offers 11 more members, an even more colourful palette of destinations and experiences for the independent traveller.
Claus Sendlinger, CEO design hotels AG, comments on what continues to set design hotels(TM) apart from the growing competition: "Design in the hotel business should convey the promise of a unique experience. The modest growth of this year's portfolio is indicative of the company's rigorous application process during which each candidate hotel is scrutinized for quality and innovation.
Current member hotels are also assessed on an ongoing basis. This year 5 membership contracts have not been renewed and the 11 new members were selected from an international applicant pool of over 140 hotels.
