Oslo will be transformed into a rock-star capital when the world's latest Hard Rock Cafe opens its doors, at 11:30a.m. in the Karl Johansgate 45. Hard Rock Cafe Oslo, the brand's entry into the country, will offer its guests great American food in a rock 'n' roll atmosphere and showcase hundreds of priceless items from Hard Rocks world-famous memorabilia collection.

To celebrate the opening of the new cafe, Hard Rock will host a grand opening party, scheduled for January, which will go down in Norways history. To kick off the celebration, Hard Rock Cafe Oslo will hold a guitar smash, the brand's signature opening tradition, followed by an event boasting several live acts and performances.

The three-floor, 220-seat cafe features Hard Rock's outstanding menu, collectible merchandise and world-renowned memorabilia collection, including items representing contemporary stars, such as Madonna and No Doubt, as well as priceless pieces from some of rock's greatest legends, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones.

"Oslo has an outstanding reputation, boasting a pulsating city center, broad music history and diverse culture," said Hamish Dodds, president and CEO, Hard Rock International. "We are thrilled that Hard Rock is making its entrance into this beautiful and vibrant country."

Hard Rock Cafe Oslo will also feature a stage area, which is ideal for live concerts, and a DJ booth, where the areas best will be able to rock the turntables all night long. The cafe will accommodate corporate events, parties, promotional events and other festivities.

Fans will also be able to experience music history with the memorabilia that adorns the walls of Hard Rock Cafe Oslo, including a vest worn by the legendary rocker Jimi Hendrix, a flannel shirt worn by Kurt Cobain, a handwritten letter by John Lennon and a brown suede jacket worn by Bono of U2. The Oslo cafe's memorabilia collection also pays tribute to Norway's rich musical history, showcasing items from AHA and other Norwegian greats.
