Every time I return back to Asia I'm mesmerized by the growth of the hotel industry.

This week marks the 2-year anniversary of the highest hotel in the world, The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, which set the stage for even more luxury in the modern Asian city.

From the 118th floor of the hotel, you can sip cocktails while looking out over all of Hong Kong and the Victoria Islands. In Bangkok, luxury hotels are opening within steps of each other.

I'll never forget walking into the Renaissance Resort in Phuket, where waterfalls and green gardens serve as the main decor for this lush hideaway. What I'm constantly impressed by, however, isn't the architecture or design of the Asian hotels, it's the service.

From luxury hotels to resort hideaways, Asia has something for everyone. Hong Kong is typically the entry-point for travelers, but there's so much more beyond the vertical city.

Retrace history in Shanghai, experience an industrial revival in Hong Kong, bathe in the sun in Bangkok or Sanya, sail in Bali or take a moment of silence in Indonesia. Whatever you choose you to, and wherever in Asia you travel, make sure you find a hotel that fits your needs.

It's a bold statement to make, but one I'm willing to stand behind: Asia does hospitality better than anywhere else in the world. From knowing the type of tea you prefer, to the gracious welcomes and delicate planning of every detail, Asia has mastered the art of hospitality.

So when TripAdvisor released its list of the top hotels in Asia, I was interested to hear what other travelers thought. And I'm interested to hear what you think!
