Ten hotels in Europe popular with international stars; sleep like Lady Gaga, drink a cocktail in the style of Paris Hilton, or walk in the footsteps of Madonna, Robbie Williams and Naomi Campbell.

Across Europe travellers can enjoy the same service as celebrity guests. The hotel price comparison trivago.co.uk reveals ten hotels, which are loved by international VIPs.

Suites covering up to 300m2 with several bedrooms, bathrooms and even private terraces, are just some of the favoured luxury amenities.

From Berlin to London, via Rome and Saint Tropez, there are luxury hotels to be found with word-famous jet-setters on the guest list. Each international hotel property selected received exceptional reviews from travellers and had an overall quality score ranking greater than 80 percent.

1. The Morrison Hotel (Dublin, Ireland)

The Morrison Hotel is a hip boutique hotel in Dublin, directly on the River Liffey. The stylish ambience of the hotel is characterised by a fusion of modern decor with traditional elements. The guest rooms are decorated in a contemporary style, with subdued lights and cream tones in the upholstery and walls, as well as carefully added splashes of colour help to create a calm atmosphere. The highlight of the hotel is the Penthouse Suite. In the lounge area of the suite, there is space for up to eight guests to dine in privacy with a view over Dublin. Beyonce Knowles and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, have already enjoyed a stay in the suite. Christina Aguilera was also a hotel guest here.

2. Hotel Byblos (Saint Tropez, France)

Welcome to Saint Tropez: in the heart of this hip destination lies Hotel Byblos. Thanks to its celebrity guest list and hot party nights, the last half-century has seen this hotel become somewhat of a legend in the Côte d‘Azur. The hotel comprises of 44 rooms and 47 suites, each decorated in a regional Provencal style with individual antiques and extravagant four-poster beds. The Riviera Suite is the flagship of this luxury hotel. Spread over 180m2 are two bedrooms, a living room and a private terrace, from which guests have an unobstructed view of the pool. Notable past guests include Paris Hilton, Penelope Cruz, Kylie Minogue and Mick Jagger. Even athletes, such as Boris Becker and David Beckham with wife Victoria, were guests at Byblos.

3. Hotel St Martins Lane (London, United Kingdom)

Hotel St Martins Lane is a trendy designer hotel in Covent Garden, London. The luxury hotel welcomes its guests in the impressive reception area with a tremendous glass door, intimate alcoves, huge pillars and limestone walls bathed in warm ambient light. Unique light fittings are also found in the 100m2 Penthouse Suite, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and trendy designer furniture. Even Paris Hilton preferred to spend a night in this 5-star hotel, rather than in one of her own. Fergie also slept here, together with her band Black Eyed Peas. Due to the hotel's close proximity to the theatres and opera houses of London's West End, many celebrity receptions and dinners take place here, at which Kylie Minogue, Boy George, Mel C from the Spice Girls and many other stars have been spotted.

4. Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg (Bergisch Gladbach, Germany)

The Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg is a baroque palace in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, offering a unique panoramic view over the Rhine Valley to Cologne Cathedral. The building houses 120 rooms and suites, in which guests are able to bask in royal ambience. Upholstered furniture, soft carpets and large beds characterise the airy, light-filled rooms. From the 155m2 large presidential suite, travellers can take in the breathtaking view over the skyline of Cologne, while the gourmet restaurant "Vendôme" spoils visitors with the creations of French cuisine star-chef Joachim Wissler. The first class service has been enjoyed by Lady Gaga, who resided here as she appeared on the finale of Germany‘s Next Top Model last year. Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams and Prince are also on the extraordinary guest list of this luxury hotel.

5. Hotel W Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain)

Hotel W is situated in an imposing sail-shaped building directly on the beach at Barcelona. Trendy lifestyle is celebrated over the 26 floors and 473 luxurious rooms and suites. Shimmering materials, such as metal and marble, give the rooms a futuristic atmosphere. In the "Extreme Wow Suite", full length windows allow guests to enjoy a 360° panoramic view over the city and Mediterranean Sea. After sunset, the top floor becomes a trendy meeting place, where well-dressed guests can enjoy a ocktail or two. A prominent admirer of this stylish hotel is singer Shakira, who shot the video for her song "Loca" directly on the adjacent beach promenade. 6. Hotel Hassler Roma (Rome, Italy

Overlooking the Spanish Steps in the Italian capital stands the legendary Hotel Hassler Roma. Each of the 95 elegant rooms and suites are individually decorated with antiques, lavish chandeliers and ornate mirrors. The highlight of the hotel is the 300m2 Penthouse Suite, with access to a 160m2 private roof terrace, offering an exclusive view over the eternal city. Guests can also enjoy the view over the rooftops of Rome from the Michelin-starred restaurant "Imàgo". A well known regular guest of the hotel is Tom Cruise, who returns to the Penthouse Suite when in Rome. Madonna, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz are just a few other celebrities already on the guest list of this luxury hotel.

7. Schlosshotel im Grunewald (Berlin, Germany)

The Schlosshotel im Grunewald is a grand five star hotel in Berlin. Ideally located in the exclusive district of Grunewald, in the impressive Grunewald forest, this hotel is a benchmark of the German capital. The former palace residence dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and still retains the noble elegance of the period. The hotel consists of 53 rooms and suites, one of which is the "Grunewald-Suite", exclusively created by German designer Karl Lagerfeld. Spread out over 106m2, the suite boasts a splendid salon, a large bedroom and bathroom, decorated with exquisite handpainted French tiles. Janet Jackson presented her new album to the German press in this hotel, while Demi Moore stayed with her husband Ashton Kutcher.

8. Hotel De Crillon (Paris, France)

Hotel De Crillon is a luxury hotel by the Place de la Concorde in Paris. From the lobby, up into each of the 174 rooms, the sophisticated interior is characterised by precious marble, fine antiques and extravagant chandeliers. The highlight of the establishment is the Bernstein-Suite, in which guests have 245m2 of living space. The suite boasts two terraces with views of the Eiffel Tower, as well as a lounge area and elegant dining room. Fine cigars and a selection of liquors are also at the disposal of guests. Jennifer Lopez chose this hotel last year, whilst presenting her latest film. Madonna, Mariah Carey and Arnold Schwarzenegger are also notable guests of the hotel, as well as the Dalai Lama, Jacky O and Elizabeth Taylor.

9. Hotel Das Triest (Vienna, Austria)

Close to Karlsplatz in Vienna, the designer hotel "Das Triest" greets its guests with a stylish ambience. What was a stable for the horse-drawn postal service 300 years ago is now a trendy hotspot in the Austrian capital. The well-preserved vaulted ceilings in the suites indicate the long history of the hotel. Over 100m2 of living space and direct access to the hotel garden are highlights of the business suite, which is furnished with elegant furniture made from a variety of expensive wood. The night owls of the city gather in the hip Silver Bar of the hotel for a drink. International celebrities included on the guest list of the hotel are Whitney Houston, Seal, Heidi Klum, Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga.

10. Hotel InterContinental Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf, Germany)

The Hotel InterContinental is a luxurious inner-city hotel on the chic high street Königsallee in Dusseldorf. The five star hotel houses 286 rooms and suites, decorated with natural tones and dark wooden furniture, accompanied by comfortable sofas and armchairs. The hotel suites are each at least 60m2 and besides a bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, also include a large bathroom and living room. In the bar "Fifty Nine", a selection of whiskies as well as vodka varieties are served in true style, with views over the grand boulevard that is Dusseldorf's Kö. Last year, teen-star Justin Bieber stayed here. Madonna, actor and film producer Nick Nolte and Robbie Williams are also among the renowned guests of this hotel.
