THE AMERICAS

Robert Rechtermann is moving to Manhattan's Financial Center as opening General Manager for the Conrad New York. He was most recently serving as General Manager of the Peninsula New York and had previously held the title of Resident Manager at the Peninsula Chicago.

Tom Segesta is moving to the Ritz-Carlton Chicago as General Manager, taking over from Patrick Ghielmetti. Segesta has been with Four Seasons since 1987, most recently as General Manager for the Four Seasons Austin.

The Waldorf Astoria Orlando has named John Carns General Manager. He was most recently on the team of the Boca Beach Club, part of the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

The Morgans Hotel Group has appointed Mike Walsh Regional Vice President for the Northeast and General Manager for the Royalton. The UNLV graduate was most recently at the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia as General Manager.

Gary Thomas has moved as General Manager to the Mondrian Soho opening next month. He has been with Morgans Hotel Group since 2004, most recently overseeing the Royalton. He had previously served as Hotel Manager of the Sanderson in London and the Delano South Beach.

Still at Morgans, Robert Cartwright has been named General Manager of the Hudson. He was most recently the General Manager of the Renaissance Blackstone Chicago for Sage Hospitality and as Regional Brand Leader for Renaissance. Cartwright had previously served as General Manager of the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina.

The Fontainebleau Miami Beach has appointed Philip Goldfarb President and Chief Operating Officer. He was most recently with the Fontainebleau's parent company, Turnberry Associates and previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer for All Florida Hospitality Management. At the Fontainebleau, he takes over from John Rolfs.

Kurt Englund has joined the Bristol Buenaventura in Panama as General Manager. For the past 18 years, he had been with Four Seasons, most recently as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Punta Mita. Past positions include Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Toronto and Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Whistler and Four Seasons Costa Rica.

Orient-Express Hotels has appointed Roy Paul as Chief Development Officer. He previously served in a similar capacity with Four Seasons for more than 20 years and was most recently with Cedar Capital Partners.

Gnell Abracosa is the new General Manager of the San Diego replacing Craig Waterman now with sister GemStone property, the Tivoli Lodge in Vail. Abracosa was most recently at the Custom in Los Angeles as General Manager. She had previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hollywood Roosevelt.

Michael Kaile has been named Chief Executive Officer for the Terminal City Club in Vancouver. He is the former Vice President and General Manager at the Fairmont Dubai.

Craig Reaume has joined the Fairmont Vancouver Airport as General Manager. He had previously served as Hotel Manager at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.

White Lodging has appointed John O'Connor Regional Vice President. For the past eight years, he was the Director of Operations for Hospitality Management Corporation based in Dallas. 

Benchmark Hospitality has promoted Greg Parsons to Senior Vice President of Operations. He was most recently Regional Vice President Operations for the company. He had previously served as General Manager of the Eaglewood Resort & Spa and for the Stonewall Resort.

Michael Medeiros has been named General Manager at the Royal Sonesta Boston. He has been with Sonesta for over 18 years, most recently as Director of Operations at the Royal Sonesta New Orleans.

Columbia Sussex has promoted Asaad Karam to Senior Vice President of Operations. He was previously the Regional Vice President Western Region for the company, located in Phoenix.

Jean Louis Magron has moved as General Manager to the Grand Solmar Lands End Resort & Spa opening this month. He was most recently the General Manager at Villa del Arco, also in Cabo San Lucas.

The Northland Inn Hotel and Conference Center has named Mike Brunkow General Manager. Most recently, he served as Managing Director for the Hotel Minneapolis.

The Hotel Teatro in Denver has named Jim Turner General Manager. Most recently, he was the Director of Operations for the Colorado Chautauqua Association.

Thomas Henseler is now the Director of Operations with Aranwa Hotels, Resorts and Spas . He was most recently the Corporate Food and Beverage Director with Villagroup Los Cabos.

Destination Hotels & Resorts has taken over the management of the Madison Hotel in Washington, D.C. and placed Jim Horsman as Managing Director. Horsman was previously Managing Director for the InterContinental Tampa and served as opening Managing Director for the Stowe Mountain Lodge in Vermont, both operated by Destination. 
 
The B Ocean in Fort Lauderdale has named Joel Darr General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Fort Lauderdale Marriott North. Previously, he served as General Manager of the Palm Beach Gardens Marriott and the Marriott Boca Raton at Boca Center.

Troy Mathews has been appointed General Manager for the Lakeway Resort and Spa near Austin. He had previously served as Club Manager of the Redstone Golf Club.

Pierre-Louis Giacotto has been named General Manager for the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago, scheduled to open this fall. He was most recently the General Manager of the Rosemont Hotel, formerly the Sofitel Chicago O'Hare and had previously served as Hotel Manager of the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower.

Olivier Lordonnois is now in New York as General Manager of the Mark, taking over from Jim Sherwin. He had previously overseen the Hotel de la Tremoille and the Sofitel Le Faubourg, both in Paris.

Carl Wilson, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Marriott since 1997, will retire next month with Bruce Hoffmeister taking over his duties as Global Chief Information Officer. Hoffmeister has more than two decades at Marriott, most recently serving the company as Senior Vice President, IR Shared and Application Services.

Hilton Worldwide has promoted George Massa to Vice President and Managing Director of Development, Mexico. He was most recently the Senior Director of Development, Mexico.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. has promoted Rob Goldstein to President of Global Gaming Operations. He has been with the company since 1995, most recently as Executive Vice President and President of the Venetian and Palazzo in Las Vegas.

GF Management has promoted Andrew Taymans to Vice President, Asset and Revenue Management. He was most recently the Vice President of Revenue Management for the company.

Michael Pedder has been promoted to Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Austin. He joined the company in 2002 and was most recently in the role of Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.

Robert Lowe is now at the Mandarin Oriental New York as Hotel Manager. He was most recently with the Mandarin Oriental Washington, D.C. as Resident Manager. He had previously been with the Mandarin Oriental San Francisco as Resident Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing.

Bruce Riggins has been appointed Chief Financial Officer for LaSalle Hotel Properties. He was most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer of Interstate Hotels & Resorts and is the former Chief Financial Officer for Innkeepers USA Trust.

The Ritz-Carlton Denver has named Dewiet Miller Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently the Director of Operations for the Ritz-Carlton Destination Club St. Thomas. He had previously served in food and beverage positions for the Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, Jamaica and the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas.

Michael McPhie has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage for Martis Camp in Lake Tahoe. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage for the Lodge at Vail and Encantado in Santa Fe.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has promoted Jeff Rajski to Vice President Hotel Marketing, The Americas. He has been with the company for 20 years, joining as Director of Marketing for the Ritz-Carlton Chicago. He was most recently in the role of Director, Hotel Marketing, The Americas.

Gary Murakami has moved to MGM Resorts International in San Francisco as Director of Regional Sales, Western Region. He was most recently serving as Senior Sales Manager for the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. He had previously served in sales positions for the Park Hyatt San Francisco, the Hyatt Regency San Francisco and the Regent Beverly Wilshire.

Paula Dirks goes from the warmest place on earth to the coldest by moving up to Director of Sales and Marketing at New York's St. Regis, from the position of Director of Group Sales – Hawaii Region, for Starwood. Dirks is also a former Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sheraton Maui and had taken part in the opening of the former St. Regis Los Angeles as Sales Manager.

Diane Yost is now at the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently with the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman as Director of Sales and Marketing. She had previously overseen marketing efforts for the Four Seasons Miami, the Four Seasons Sydney and the Four Seasons Palm Beach.

Benjamin Sinclair has moved to the Mandarin Oriental New York as Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past two years, he had been the Director of Sales and Marketing at the St. Regis New York. He had previously served as Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Tahiti and Bora Bora, for Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Martha Sullivan has been named Regional Marketing and Sales Director - North America, for Hilton French Polynesia. Before heading into her most recent stint in real estate, she oversaw sales and marketing for the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, the former Four Seasons Aviara and the Loews Coronado Bay Resort.

Jack Murray has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the InterContinental Dallas. He had previously held other Director of Sales and Marketing positions in Dallas at the Adolphus, the Hotel ZaZa and the Fairmont.

Fred Khoury has moved as Director of Sales and Marketing to the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. He was most recently at the nearby Hard Rock Hotel Chicago as Director of Sales. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing of the Park Hyatt Chicago.

Adam Leon has been appointed Director of Sales at B Ocean. He had previously served as Director of Sales for the Westin Colonnade Coral Gables and the Hilton Palm Beach.

Andrea Richey has joined the Chateau Bourbon New Orleans as Director of Sales. She was most recently serving as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham.

Amanda Acosta has been named Director of Sales for the Hotel Telluride. She had previously served in sales positions at the Peaks Resort and Spa and the Buena Vista Palace in Orlando.

Amanda Wessel has moved with Destination Hotels & Resorts to take over the national sales office in Denver. She had been Director of the national sales office for the Southwest since 2004.

Kerry McMahon will be returning to Destination Hotels & Resorts to join the New York sales office. She had previously served as National Sales Manager at the Hamilton Park Hotel and Conference Center in New Jersey, before taking her most recent position at Hotels and Resorts of Halekulani and the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio in Honolulu.

Scott Ward has been appointed Area Director of Sales for the Rockresorts Warm Weather Collection. For the past four years, Ward was working as Director of Sales and Marketing for Scrub Island Resort Marina and Spa in the British Virgin Islands and previously oversaw sales and marketing for the Angelus Resort and Spa in St Kitts.

Lisa Hagen has joined the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas as Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer. She had previously overseen sales and marketing and held executive management positions for the Hotel Bel-Air, the former St. Regis Los Angeles and the Sunset Marquis.

The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch has appointed Giles Priestland Director of Sales, Travel Industry. He most recently held the position of Director of Leisure Sales at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek.

Naples' Inn on Fifth has named Patricia Cotte Group Sales Manager. She had previously served in group sales positions at the Vinoy in St. Petersburg and the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel.

Tracy Koven has returned once again to the Beverly Hills Hotel in her former role as Director of Catering. She had originally joined the hotel in 1996 and then again in 2000. She comes back after completing a brief stint last year at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills and after serving two years as Director of Catering at Terranea.

Steven Szenasi has transferred to the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel as Director of Catering Sales. He was most recently in the same position for both the Ritz-Carlton Denver and the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.

Taking over for Szenasi, Syd Sexton has been appointed Director of Catering Sales for both the Ritz-Carlton Denver and the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. She was most recently running Mile High City event production.

Marie Lyons has moved to the Soho Grand and the Tribeca Grand in New York as Director of Catering and Special Events. She was most recently the Director of Events for the Greenwich Hotel and its restaurant, Locanda Verde by Andrew Carmellini.

Dino Bavaro has joined the Eventi in New York as Director of Catering. Bavaro was most recently in the same position at the InterContinental The Barclay.

Loews Hotels has named Lark-Marie Antón Vice President of Public Relations. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for the Miss Universe Organization. She had previously served in executive posts with Verizon Communications and the New York City Mayor's Office.

Benchmark Hospitality has appointed Rebecca Madan Kollaras Regional Director of Public Relations. She had previously run Kollaras Communications and had served as Vice President for BlueSky Public Relations.

The JW Marriott Starr Pass has promoted Daniel Perez to Executive Chef. He has been with the resort for the past six years in various kitchen roles and had previously worked in the Tucson area at the Royal Palms Resort.

Eric Damidot has been named Executive Chef at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans due to reopen this fall after its Hurricane Katrina closure. This is a return to the south for Damidot after serving as Executive Chef for the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta before heading to Las Vegas to oversee the kitchens for Harrah's Entertainment at the Paris, Bally's, and, most recently, Caesar's Palace.

Steven Sterritt has been named Executive Chef at the Wuksachi Lodge in Sequoia National Park. He had previously served as Chef at the Lodge & Conference Center at Geneva-on-the-Lake, the Peaks Resort & Golden Door Spa and the Inn at Lost Creek in Telluride.

Sergio Howland has been appointed Executive Chef at the Sebastian in Vail. His most recent position was as Executive Chef at the Bristol Buenaventura in Panama. He is also a former Executive Chef of Esperanza in Los Cabos.

Meadowood has named Boris Portnoy Pastry Chef. He had previously worked at Campton Place, Mugaritz in Spain, and Cru in New York.

John Cunin has joined the Patina Restaurant Group as Service Director. He was most recently the General Manager of Bazaar by Jose Andres at the SLS Beverly Hills. Cunin had previously opened Café Deco at the Wynn Macau and served as General Manager of Mix Las Vegas.

Auberge du Soleil has appointed Yannick Girardo Restaurant Manager. He was most recently in New York City, serving as Assistant General Manager at Restaurant Daniel.

The InterContinental Dallas has named Aref Sayegh Assistant General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Atlantic Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.

Gary Mansour passed away suddenly last month in New York at the age of 58. After briefly working for NATO in Italy, he found himself in Los Angeles in 1975 and in 1980 founded Mansour Travel Company based in Beverly Hills with his partner, Kay Mansour. They wisely steered the company from the onset towards film and television production and entertainment industry travel. Along with their successful private jet division, the company now draws from a select circle of influential individuals from the entertainment, financial and business worlds.

EUROPE

At Accor, under new Chief Executive Officer Denis Hennequin, a leaner Executive Committee has been announced:
Yann Caillère is global Chief Operating Officer; Grégoire Champetier, is Senior Vice President Marketing, Branding and Distribution; Anne-Marie Cambourieu is Executive Vice President Human resources and Change Management; Dominique Esnault is Executive Director of Support Operations, Development, Procurement, Architecture and Design; Pascal Quint, is Chief Legal Officer and manages risk; Sophie Stabile, Executive Vice President Finance, is also Chief Information Officer; Marc Vieilledent is Executive Vice President Asset Management, Mergers and Acquisitions.

Jean Faivre has been promoted by Hilton Worldwide to the position of Area Vice President, Western and Southern Europe. Since 2007, he had been in charge of Hilton's hotels in France, Eastern Mediterranean, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus Greece, and Malta. He now supervises 30 hotels. Faivre joined Hilton in 1999 as General Manager of the Hilton Bucharest, following thirteen years with InterContinental.

Ronald Hoogerbrugge has moved as General Manager to the InterContinental Düsseldorf. He was most recently the

Hotel Manager at the InterContinental Vienna. He had previously served as Resident Manager at the InterContinental Prague and as Hotel Manager for the InterContinental Houston.

Charlie Parker has been promoted to General Manager to join the Four Seasons Hampshire, taking over from Colin Clark now at the Four Seasons Palm Beach. For the past four years, he had served as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh.

At the Hotel La Tremoille in Paris, former Assistant General Manager Daniel David moves to the top spot, taking over from Olivier Lordonnois who is now the General Manager of the Mark in New York.

Taj Suites and Residences has promoted Araceli Rius Perez to Hotel Manager at 51 Buckingham Gate. She was most recently responsible for heading-up the sales team at the London hotel.

Claridge's has promoted Thomas Kochs to General Manager. He was most recently serving the hotel as Hotel Manager. He had previously served as Hotel Manager at the Connaught and as Director of Food and Beverage for the Berkeley.

Edward Leenders has been named General Manager for the Hotel Savoy in Florence. He was most recently in the Rocco Forte Collection's head office as Brand Support Director. He is also the former Deputy General Manager for London's Brown's Hotel. In Florence, he takes over from Alberto Pirozzini.

Sven Scheerbarth has joined the Hotel & Spa Tegernsee in Germany as General Manager, taking over from Peter Kahl. Scheerbarth was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Westin Grand Hotel in Munich.

At the Couvent des Minimes in Provence, Vincenzo Iaconis is the new General Manager, taking over from Pierre Alexandre Françin. Iaconis comes from the Hotel de Vigny in Paris.

Marie-Paule Vande Velde, formerly the General Manager of theWestin Paris-Vendôme, has been promoted to the position of Business Development Director for Europe, Africa and the Middle East for Starwood Hotels, based in Brussels.

Sandro Bohrmann takes over from Vande Velde as General Manager of Westin Paris-Vendôme. He had joined Starwood in 1991 as a Trainee at the Sheraton Frankfurt. After a stint as Director of Operations at the Sheraton Park Lane, he became the Hotel Manager at the Westin Warsaw, then General Manager at the Imperial in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to coming to Paris, he was the General Manager of Le Méridien Piccadilly.

Julien Kiefer is the new Hotel Manager at the Westin Paris-Vendôme, taking over from Paul Chevalier (who becomes the General Manager of the Sheraton Damascus). Since 2007, Kiefer had been the Director of Operations at the Sheraton La Caleta Resort and Spa.

Vincent Tissier is leaving the position of General Manager of Paris' Hotel Bel-Ami after five years. His successor is Laurence Guinebretiere, formerly the General manager of the Hotel Edouard Sept.

Christian Delteil has been named Director at the Hotel Crillon le Brave. The former Executive Chef at Chewton Glen will also serve as leader of the hotel's restaurant team.

At tony Hotel Métropole Monte Carlo, Pauline Bergé joins as Director of Sales and Marketing. She comes up from the Mandarin Oriental Jnan Rahma in Marrakech. She previously was the Area Director of Sales and Marketing for InterContinental in Oman. At the Métropole, Bergé replaces Sandrine Camia who left in January, after five years on the job.

At the Bristol in Paris, Stéphane Trycionka has been named Senior Sales Manager, North America. From 2005 to 2009, he held a similar position at Paris' Hotel Plaza-Athénée, prior to joining the Hotel Métropole Monte Carlo, in charge of the UK and North America markets.

Grégoire Champetier as joined Accor as General Manager of Marketing, in charge of brand strategy, distribution and innovation. Previously, he had worked under new Accor CEO Didier Hennequin at McDonald's.

Pierre Alexandre Françin has joined Geneva-based Groupe des Hotels La Réserve (including La Réserve on Lake Geneva, La Villa Maillot in Paris and La Réserve in Ramatuelle/St. Tropez as Director of Marketing and Business Development. Françin comes from Le Couvent des Minimes in Provence where he had been the General Manager for the past three years.

Emilie Pichon has been names Director of Public Relations at the soon-to-open Mandarin Oriental Paris. She joins from a similar position at the Hotel Meurice where she had been since 2007 following three years at the Hotel de Crillon.

Steigenberger Hotels has appointed Andreas Schuster Chief Operating Officer. He was most recently the Vice President of Operations and Business Development with the Danubius Hotel Group.

Choice Hotels has appointed Olivier Dupont to the newly created position of Vice President, European Development. Most recently, Dupont served as Senior Vice President, International Development for Wyndham Worldwide.

Warren Smith has joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts as Director of Marketing Communications Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in Geneva. Before his most recent role running his own marketing firm, he was with Banque Pictet & Cie.

At the Four Seasons Georges V, Lucien Gautier will be coming on board as Executive Pastry Chef. He comes from the Hotel du Palais in Biarritz, and also spent two years as Executive Pastry Chef for Alain Ducasse's Mix in Las Vegas.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Ananda Arawwawela is the new General Manager for the St. Regis Singapore. He is the former Area Managing Director for Hong Kong and Macau with Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

David Mansfield has returned to India as General Manager of the Grand Hyatt Mumbai. He was most recently serving as General Manager for the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. He had previously been the Director of Food and Beverage at the Grand Hyatt New Delhi before moving up to Executive Assistant Manager - Food and Beverage at the Grand Hyatt Bali and General Manager for the Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort.

Ralf Bruegger has been named General Manager of the Observatory Hotel in Sydney, taking over from Patrick Griffin who is retiring. Bruegger was previously the General Manager of both the Sebel Pier One Sydney and the Harbour Rocks Hotel.

Leon Pink has been appointed General Manager of the newly opened Outrigger Koh Samui Resort and Spa. For the past two years, Pink had been the Resort Manager at the Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji.

The MGallery Fairmont Resort in Australia has named Geoff York General Manager. He is the former General Manager of the Sofitel Brisbane and the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney.

Adding to his current position as General Manager of the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa, Hanno Stamm has been appointed Managing Director of Victoria Hotels & Resorts, taking over from Eric Simard. Stamm had previously served as General Manager of the Victoria Can Tho Resort and the Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa.

Charles Fisher has been named Resort Manager of the Four Seasons Chiang Mai. He has been with the company since 1999, most recently serving as Director of Rooms at the Regent Singapore.

Jeff Rednour has been appointed Hotel Manager at the Regent Singapore. For the past three years, he had been at the Four Seasons Langkawi as Resort Manager. He had previously served as Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Houston.

The St. Regis Bangkok has hired Gerald Hanna as Director of Residences. For the past three years, he had served as Director of Residences for the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou.

Maximilian von Reden has joined the Portman Ritz-Carlton Shanghai as Hotel Manager. He was most recently with the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok as Executive Assistant Manager - Food and Beverage. He had previously served in food and beverage management positions for the Peninsula Beijing and the Datai Langkawi.

The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua has added the title of Hotel Manager for Ian McPhee, adding to his duties as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously served in food and beverage management positions at the Ritz-Carlton Washington, D.C. and the Ritz-Carlton Boston.

Matthias Berger has been appointed Director of Finance at the St. Regis Bangkok, slated to open early this year. Most recently, he held the position of Director of Finance for the Sheraton Macau and the St. Regis Macau

Nicolas Messian has joined Six Senses as Director of Food and Beverage for the Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. He was most recently overseeing operations for Goodwood Estates in the UK. He had previously served in food and beverage roles for the Novotel Heathrow and the Temenos Golf Club on Anguilla.

The Four Seasons Doha has named Thomas Gynning Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently with the Grand Hotel in Stockholm in the position of Hotel Manager.

Chayanuch Chudhabuddhi joins the St. Regis Bangkok as Director of Human Resources. Formerly, she held the same position at Le Méridien Bangkok.

The Mandarin Oriental Sanya has appointed Linda Ma Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently at the Banyan Tree Lijiang as Director of Sales and Marketing.

The St. Regis Bangkok has named Holger Jakobs Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently at the St. Regis Beijing in the same role. He is a former Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Six Senses Resorts & Spas.

The Saujana Hotel – Kuala Lumpur has appointed Sally Ann Klap Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Sales for the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

Russell Kembel takes on the new role of Director of Industry Relations for the Hilton Waikoloa Village. He had previously served in sales positions for the Westin Cincinnati and the O'Hare Hilton.

The St. Regis Bangkok has named Leonardo Concezzi Executive Chef. For the past three years, he had served as Executive Chef at Fortevillage in Sardinia. He is a former Executive Sous Chef for the Four Seasons Damascus.

The St. Regis Bangkok has named Henry Sears Director of Rooms. He is the former Director of Rooms for the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski.

The Four Seasons Langkawi has named Takuya Kishi Director of Rooms. He was most recently with the Four Seasons Tokyo at Marunouchi, first as Director of Rooms before moving into his most recent role as Director of Human Resources.

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Max Musto has been promoted to General Manager at the Four Seasons Alexandria at San Stefano, taking over from Todd Cilano, now in Mauritius. Musto joined the hotel in 2009 as Hotel Manager. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage at the former Four Seasons Aviara and as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Mauritius.

Arnaud Bamvens is now in Marrakech at the Hotel and Ryads Naoura Barrière. He was most recently the General Manager of the Pullman Bordeaux (formerly the Sofitel Aquitania). He had previously been at the Grand Hotel Barrière in Dinard, where he spent four years, after serving as General Manager of the Barrière Castel Marie Louise in La Baule.

Horst Walther-Jones has been appointed General Manager of the Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach Dubai. He is the former General Manager of the Mövenpick Al Nawras Jeddah

Philippe Frugère has been appointed Group General Manager for the Al Nahda Resort & Spa in Oman. He is the former General Manager of the Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu in the Maldives and was also the Deputy General Manager at the Sugar Beach Resort in Mauritius.

Patrick Martinez has been named General Manager for both the Yas Island Rotana and the Centro Yas Island. He had previously served as General Manager for the opening of the InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort and as General Manager of the Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa.

Sebastien Weyer is now in the United Arab Emirates as Director of Engineering for the Westin Abu Dhabi. He was most recently serving as Director of Engineering at the Four Points by Sheraton Nigeria.

Adam Turner has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Ritz-Carlton Dubai. He was most recently based in London at the regional sales office for Ritz-Carlton as Director of Travel Industry Sales.

Costas Gavriel has joined the newly opened Grand Millennium Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi as Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently the Vice President for the travel division at SAB Holdings in Jeddah. Gavriel had previously held sales and marketing positions with Melia Hotels, Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts and Rosewood Hotels.

The Dusit Princess City Centre Dubai has named Vanessa Kong Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past three years, she had been with the Dusit Residence Dubai Marina as Director of Sales.

Claudia Hardt has been appointed Director of Public Relations for the Ritz-Carlton Doha and the Sharq Village & Spa. She was most recently the Director of Public Relations and Communications at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa. Hardt had previously served as Director of Communications at the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong and Director of Public Relations at the Ritz-Carlton Berlin.

Daniel Echasseriau has been named Executive Chef at Jeddah's Rosewood Corniche . He had previously served as Executive Chef at La Samanna and the Fairmont Royal Pavilion & Glitter Bay.

Alexander Haebe has joined the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray in Dubai as Executive Pastry Chef. He was most recently in the same position with the Fairmont Nile City and had previously served in pastry roles at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur.
