THE AMERICAS

MGM Resorts International has promoted Gamal Aziz to President and Chief Executive Officer of MGM Hospitality. He was most recently serving in a dual capacity as head of MGM Hospitality and as President and Chief Operating Officer of the MGM Grand Las Vegas.

MGM Resorts has promoted Chuck Bowling to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. He joined the company in 1998 and was most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Founder of Joie de Vivre Hospitality, Chip Conley, moves into the role of Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer. Gary Beasley moves over from Pritzker's Geolo Capital to step into Conley's role of Chief Executive Officer. Beasley was previously with KSL Resorts, before venturing out to ZipRealty and most recently serving in the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Greenvolts.

Carlson has promoted Thorsten Kirschke to the role of Chief Operating Officer for Carlson Hotels and President of Carlson Hotels, Americas. He had most recently held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Carlson Hotels, Americas. Previously, he had served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Rezidor Hotel Group based in Brussels.

Trump Entertainment Resorts has appointed Robert Griffin Chief Executive Officer. His most recent position was as President and Chief Executive Officer of MTR Gaming Group. He had previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations with Isle of Capri Casinos.

La Quinta Resort has named Gary Sims Managing Director. Previously, Sims was Executive Vice President of Operations for Desires Hotels International and President and Chief Executive Officer for Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts. At La Quinta, he takes over from Ralph Vick.

Hermann Elger has been named General Manager of the Montage Beverly Hills. Since 1998 he had been at the Ritz-Carlton Cancun most recently as General Manager. He had joined Ritz-Carlton in 1993 at the Ritz-Carlton Aspen in the rooms division.

The Omni Charlotte has appointed Charlie Kingston General Manager. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage for the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

The Omni Severin Hotel in Indianapolis has appointed Kevin Latone General Manager. He most recently served as General Manager at both the Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark and the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel. 

The Omni Austin Hotel Southpark has promoted Terry Green to General Manager. He most recently served as Director of Operations for the hotel after being promoted from the position of Area Director of Sales and Marketing at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown. 

Duane Schroder has been named General Manager of the Hilton Hartford. He had previously served as Director of Operations at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa and General Manager of the Radisson Bloomfield Hills.

The Stowe Mountain Lodge has appointed Lausanne grad Richard McLennan to the post of Managing Director. He was most recently at sister property the Resort at Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe as General Manager. He had previously spent two years as Hotel Manager at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach.  
 
Mark Wilson has joined the Bourbon Orleans Hotel as General Manager. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Roosevelt New Orleans.

Michael Zayas has returned to the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor to take over as General Manager. He had previously served as Revenue Manager for the hotel before taking on the role of General Manager for the Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan SoHo Village and the soon-to-open Aloft New York Brooklyn.

Jean-Louis Magron has been appointed General Manager at the Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa in Mexico scheduled to open February 2011. He had previously overseen the Hotel Villa del Arco Beach Resort in Cabo San Lucas as General Manager and the Hotel Dreams Los Cabos as Resident Manager.

Luis Perillo has been named General Manager of the new Hilton Bogota. He was most recently the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Latin America and Caribbean, for Hilton Worldwide. He joined the company in 1995 as Director of Sales and Marketing for Hilton in Venezuela and had previously served as General Manager of the Hilton Barquisimeto.  

Ted Kanatas has been named General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina. For the past six years, he had served as General Manager for the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. His past General Manager postings include overseeing the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, the Hyatt Regency Columbus and the Hyatt Regency Louisville.

Herbert Spiegel has returned as General Manager to Cheeca Lodge in the Florida Keys where he had served in the same role from 1998-2000. He had previously worked with the Gencom Group as Managing Director of the former Lodge at Rancho Mirage and held the post of Vice President for RockResorts.

Xavier Moulin has been named General Manager at Sam Nazarian's Redbury in Hollywood. He had previously served as General Manager for Personality Hotels with the Hotel Diva, the Hotel Kensington Park and the Hotel Frank, all in San Francisco.

Sam Jagger has been named General Manager of  Mr. C. by Cipriani, formerly the Tower Beverly Hills. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica. He had previously served in sales and marketing roles for the Palms Place Hotel and Spa in Las Vegas, Mondrian Los Angeles, and Delano in Miami.

Ritz-Carlton has named Ronald Parker General Manager for the Abaco Club on Winding Bay in the Bahamas. He was most recently the General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Club, St. Thomas and had previously served as Vice President of Purchasing for corporate in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Karl Buchta has joined the Shangri-La in Santa Monica as General Manager. He had previously spent eighteen years with Fairmont serving as General Manager for the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica and the Fairmont San Jose.
 
Monmouth Plantation in Natchez has named Jerry Jacobson Managing Director. The Cornell grad was most recently the General Manager at the Eagle Mountain House and Golf Club in New Hampshire. He had previously held the roles of Managing Director of the Emerson Inn and General Manager for the Downtown Athletic Club in New York.

Evan Altman has been promoted at the Cooper Square Hotel in New York to the role of General Manager. He had previously served the hotel as Director of Sales and Marketing after holding the position of Director of Sales for the Gramercy Park Hotel.

After a brief stint at the Avalon Beverly Hills, Hugh Templeman is now the General Manager at the Viceroy Snowmass in Vail. Prior to the Avalon, Templeman was with the Viceroy Santa Monica as Director of Operations. He had previously served six years with Four Seasons in Dublin and six years with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

Pradeep Raman takes over for Templeton as General Manager of the Avalon Beverly Hills. For the past four years, he had been with the Peninsula Chicago, most recently as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously held food and beverage roles with the Peninsula Hong Kong and the Ritz Carlton New York.

MGM Resorts has promoted George Corchis to the newly created position of President of Regional Operations. He was most recently President and Chief Operating Officer overseeing the Beau Rivage in Biloxi and the Gold Strike in Tunica, both in Mississippi.

Steve Zanella has been promoted to General Manager of the MGM Grand Detroit. He was formerly Senior Vice President of Marketing at the MGM Grand Las Vegas.

Linda Geyer is now in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, with the Trump International Beach Resort as General Manager, taking over for Colin Gold. She was most recently the Owner's Representative for Trump International Beach Resort's developer, Dezer Properties. She had previously served as General Manager for the Sheraton Suites Key West and the Atlantic Resort & Spa.

Nick Simmonds has been named Managing Director of the GoldenEye Hotel & Resort, one of Chris Blackwell's Island Outpost hotels in Jamaica. He was most recently the General Manager at Cotton House and, prior to that, was responsible for launching and managing Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos. 

Marshall Hotels & Resorts has named Shaun Burchard Executive Vice President. He was most recently with Sun Development & Management based in Indianapolis, as President. 

Sunil Narang has been promoted to Hotel Manager, joining the Four Seasons Las Vegas. He was most recently at the Four Seasons Maui as Director of Rooms.

Roy Crane has been named Hotel Manager of the Gansevoort Miami Beach. He was most recently in the position of Director of Rooms at the Fairmont Kea Lani. Previously, Crane held the position of Hotel Operations Manager at Kaanapali Alii and served as Resort Manager at the Carmel Valley Ranch.       

Nikhil Bhola has joined the Loews Don Cesar Beach Hotel as Hotel Manager. He was most recently the General Manager for the Wyndham Research Triangle Park in Durham and previously the Director of Rooms for the Umstead Hotel and Spa.

Ryan Roche has been appointed Hotel Manager of the Tempo Miami. He was most recently the Director of Rooms and Golf Operations at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort and Spa in Lexington, Kentucky. 

The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas has named Clinton Clausen and Olivier Zardoni co-Directors of Food and Beverage. Clausen was most recently running the Four Daughters Kitchen Restaurant in Manhattan Beach and Zardoni is a former General Manager for Switch at Encore and Aquavit in New York. Clausen is also a former Senior Vice President of Restaurant Operations for Sam Nazarian's SBE Restaurant Group. As for Zardoni, he also used to be an Assistant General Manager at New York's Le Bernardin.

Josef Wagner has joined the Venetian and the Palazzo in Las Vegas as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently on the opening team for the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas as Director of Restaurants.

Carlson Hotels has appointed Christer Larsson Vice President of Food and Beverage. For the past year, he had served in a similar role for Rezidor.

Sergio Howland has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage for Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa. He was previously in Los Cabos as Executive Chef at Esperanza Resort.

Denise O'Laughlin has been named Director of Human Resources for the Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz. She was most recently in Monterey as Director of Human Resources for John Q. Hammonds Hotels.

Sonesta has named John DePaul Executive Vice President Development. He was most recently the Managing Member and President of National Hospitality Holdings and NHH Hotels & Resorts.  

Richard Harper has been promoted with MGM Resorts to take over for Chuck Bowling as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He joined the company in 1999 and was most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Sales.

The Betsy in South Beach has appointed Jeffrey Baldasarre Director of Sales and Marketing. Most recently, he oversaw sales and marketing for the Cheeca Lodge & Spa in the Florida Keys. He had previously held sales and marketing positions at the Standard Miami, the Bentley Regal Palms Resort and Spa and the Regal Oaks Resort and Spa, both in Orlando.

The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman has named Jaime Moench Director of Sales and Marketing, taking over for Diane Yost. Moench was previously with the Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa.

Dennis Hernandez has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the Ace Hotel Palm Springs. He was most recently in the same position for the Standard Downtown Los Angeles. He had previously served in sales and marketing roles at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, the Sofitel Los Angeles and with Mondrian and Clift.

John Rovie has been named Director of Sales for the Broadmoor. For the past five years, he had held the title of Director of Sales for the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix.

Amanda Totaro has been named Vice President of Marketing for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. She was most recently the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Isle of Capri Casinos. 
 
Tricia O'Connor has moved to the Redbury in Hollywood as Director of Sales. She was most recently the Associate Director of Sales at the Thompson Beverly Hills. She had previously served in sales roles for the Hollywood Roosevelt and La Costa Resort and Spa.

Laura Pugh has joined the Montage Beverly Hills as Director of Sales. For the past two years, the Cornell graduate had been with the St. Regis Aspen as Director of Group Sales. She had previously held sales positions with the Westin Bellevue, the Hotel Serrano and the Hotel Monaco.

Lynn Pescherine has been named Global Account Director for the newly opened Dolce Global Sales office in San Francisco. She had previously served as Director of National Accounts for Gaylord Hotels and Director of Northwest Sales for LaQuinta Resort & Club.
 
Rosewood's Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe has appointed Christina Loosemore Director of Sales and Marketing. Most recently, Loosemore served as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for the Pyramid Hotel Group in New Orleans.

Hilton Worldwide has named Dasha Ross Director, Global Corporate Communications. She was most recently with Marriott International as Senior Manager, Public Relations.

The Peninsula Beverly Hills has appointed Rob Roche Director of Marketing. For the past seven years, he was the Director of Business Development for SeaDream Yacht Club, based in Los Angeles. Previously, he was Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for St. Regis Hotels & Resorts and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, both based in Los Angeles.

Club Med North America has appointed Dinah Marzullo Director of Marketing. She had previously been with Sandals Resorts as Senior Director of Advertising and as Advertising Director at Carnival Cruise Lines.

The W Hollywood has appointed Jeffrey Guillory Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, the InterContinental Miami, the Stanford Court, and the Swissôtel Chicago.                                               

Claire Higgins-Hathaway has joined Gilt Group's travel division, JetSetter as Curator. She was most recently serving as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hotel Elysée after joining them in 2009 as Senior Sales Manager.

Branson's Chateau on the Lake has named Cinda Culton Director of Sales and Marketing. Culton had previously served for six years with Vail Resorts as Area Director of Sales and Marketing.

The Postcard Inn on the Beach has named Misty Wells Director of Sales and Marketing. She had previously served as Senior Sales Manager at the Wyndham Westshore Hotel.

Holly Anderson Bender has been appointed Director Sales and Marketing for the Study at Yale. She was most recently in the same position for the Stamford Plaza Hotel & Conference Center.

The Indianapolis Marriott East has named Judy Blattert Vice President - Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing for the Remington Hotel Corporation.

The Pan Pacific Vancouver has appointed Brent Lavery Director of Sales. For the past five years, he had been the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Brookstreet Hotel and Resort in Ottawa. He had previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Ontario's Deerhurst Resort and the Red Deer Lodge in Alberta.

Sidney Chang has been appointed Director of Group Sales for the Fairmont Washington, D.C. He was previously the Director of Sales, Eastern Region, for the Greater Houston Convention and Visitor's Bureau in Washington, D.C.  Previously, he was the Director of National Sales at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. 

Misty Moore has been promoted to Director of Catering and Group Sales at the Ritz-Carlton Westchester. She joined the hotel in 2008 as Group Sales Manager. She had previously overseen group sales for the Hotel at Auburn University and the Ocean Place Resort & Spa.

Langham Hotels has appointed Patti Elliott as Director of Sales in the Central U.S. Region. She was most recently in a similar role for Fairmont Raffles International.

Chris Reed has been named Regional Sales Manager for Morgans Hotel Group. He was most recently a National Sales Manager at the Sè San Diego.

Denihan Hospitality Group has appointed Becky Casey Director of National Sales. Previously, she had served fourteen years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Westin Hotels & Resorts, with the past ten as Senior Director of Travel Industry Sales, North America.  

Dawn Steele has moved over as Director of Group Sales for both the Soho Grand and the Tribeca Grand hotels. She was most recently a Senior Sales Manager for the Wyndham Fashion 26.

Sallie Kim has been appointed Group Sales Manager at Le Parker Méridien . She was most recently in the same position at the Warwick New York.

Diane Black has joined the Jumeirah Essex House as Director of Entertainment Sales. She was most recently with Taj at the Pierre in a similar position. She had served in various sales positions for the Mondrian in Los Angeles and the Mondrian Scottsdale.

Rhonda Lasee has been named Director of Conference Services for the Eaglewood Resort & Spa. She was most recently Senior Catering Manager for Chicago Restaurant Partners, the exclusive catering and food service provider for McCormick Place.

Jillian Thompson has been appointed Senior Catering Manager for the Postcard Inn on the Beach. Most recently, she served as Catering Sales Manager for Wyndham Tampa Westshore.

Benchmark Hospitality has appointed Shawna Poppell Area Director of Revenue Management for Orlando and Miami Resorts. She was most recently the Senior Director of Revenue Management and eCommerce for Central Florida Investments, a group of 27 Westgate Resorts.

Curt Ewald, Director of Marketing and Sales at the Beverly Hilton, has died. A Senior Vice President Operations Resources for Wyndham International, He had also served as Senior Vice President, Asia-Pacific and Vice President Marketing Asia-Pacific for Starwood.

Jeremy Berlin has taken over for Joshua Smith as Chef at Church & State in Los Angeles. Berlin was previously with Gordon Ramsay at the London New York before moving west to help open Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood.

Shawn Armstrong has been promoted to Executive Chef of the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas. He was most recently the Executive Sous Chef of the hotel's MOzen Bistro. Previously, he served as Chef de Cuisine of the Oyster and Wine Bar at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, Executive Chef of the Taj Resort and Palace in the Maldives and Chef de Cuisine of the Cliff in Singapore.

Replacing Armstrong at MOzen Bistro is Vivek Rawat, who has been promoted from restaurant's Sous Chef to Chef de Cuisine. Previously he was at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore, where he was Sous Chef of Dolce Vita restaurant.

When the Langham Huntington, Pasadena reopens its renamed and extensively remodeled dining room in October, chef David Féau will man the stoves. Féau was most recently the Corporate Executive Chef for the Patina Restaurant Group's culinary operations on the West Coast. He was previously the chef at the New York City institution Lutèce and its satellite Las Vegas location.

The Grand Hyatt New York has appointed Christian Ragano Executive Chef to of their newly launched, New York Central. The CIA graduate was the former Chef de Cuisine at the Park Hyatt Chicago's NoMi.

David Werly has joined the Setai in Miami as Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage. For the past three years, he had been the Executive Chef at Le Cirque in Las Vegas after serving as Executive Sous Chef at Le Cirque New York. He had previously spent four years working for Sirio Maccioni at Le Cirque Mexico City.

Jeff McInnis is collaborating on a new restaurant in the Wynwood area of Miami called Gigi. For the past six years he had been at the DiLido Beach Club at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach as Chef de Cuisine.

Thomas Connell has joined the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami as Executive Chef taking over from Sean O'Connell. Connell had previously served in the kitchens for the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, the Hotel Arts in Barcelona, and the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. 

The Taj Boston has appointed Michael Mandato Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same position at the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis. He had previously served as Executive Chef at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta and as Executive Sous Chef at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.

Paul Wade has been appointed Executive Chef at the Lodge at Vail. His previous culinary experience includes stints at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, the Peaks and Golden Door Spa in Telluride and the Little Nell in Aspen.

Sandals Resorts now has the former Four Seasons Exuma and has placed Sean O'Connell as Executive Chef. He was most recently Corporate Executive Chef for Fontainebleau Resorts. He had previously spent two years as Executive Chef at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.

Hideki Myo has been appointed Executive Chef of the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf. Myo was most recently at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco as Executive Sous Chef. He had previously served in the kitchens for the Westin St. Francis in Union Square, as well as the Westin Tokyo. 

The JW Marriott Indianapolis Downtown has named Quang Dinh Executive Chef.  He was most recently, Executive Chef at the Marriott Louisville Downtown, and previously Executive Chef at the St. Kitts Marriott Hotel and Royal Beach Casino.

Deden Putra is now at the Jumeirah Essex House as Executive Pastry Chef. He was most recently at the Beverly Wilshire in the same position. He had held various pastry positions in the past at the Bacara Resort, the Sofitel Los Angeles and the Mondrian in West Hollywood.

Joanne Takahashi has joined Sushi Roku as General Manager. She had previously spent thirteen years as General Manager of Nobu Las Vegas, before taking on various roles with Magical Elves Productions in various Bravo/Top Chef producing roles.

The Claremont Hotel, Club & Spa has appointed Seyt Laver as General Manager of their restaurant, Meritage. Laver was most recently the Director of Outlets for the Westin Market Street in San Francisco.

Ricardo Guerzoni has been promoted to Director of Rooms, joining the Four Seasons Seattle. He was most recently with the Four Seasons Palm Beach as Front Office Manager.

Todd Najarian has been appointed Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Washington, D.C. He was most recently with the St. Regis Princeville Resort on Kauai as Director of Rooms. He had previously served as Director of Housekeeping for the Peninsula Beverly Hills and as Front Desk Manager at the Phoenician in Scottsdale.

Ludovic Guillon has joined the Mandarin Oriental Miami as Front Desk Manager. He was most recently with Halekulani in Honolulu as Assistant Front Office Manager.

The Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago has appointed Cherie Lininger Director of The Spa at Trump. For the past five years, she served as Spa Director at Avani Spa at the Abbey Resort in Lake Geneva.

The Omni Bedford Springs Resort has named Linda Lynge Spa Director of the Springs Eternal Spa. She was most recently the Spa Director of the Spa at the Lodge at Vail. 

EUROPE

Pierre Ferchaud, who had surrendered the stewardship of Paris' Bristol to Didier La Calvez after sixteen years, is now the General manager of Paris' Hotel Fouquet's Barriere, where he replaces Eric Boonstoppel who spent seventeen years with the Lucien Barriere Group. As for Boonstoppel, as General Manager of Le Cheval Blanc in Courchevel, he joins the newly created hotel division of LVMH.

InterContinental Hotels Group has named Joe Ferry to the new created position of Senior Vice President, Global Guest Experience and Design, to be based in England. Ferry was most recently with Virgin Atlantic where he served as Head of Design.

Alain Bachmann has joined the Grand Hotel Park in Gstaad as Deputy General Manager. He was most recently with the Ritz-Carlton Moscow as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously overseen food and beverage for the Anassa in Cyprus and the Lowry in Manchester, England.

Pilar Monzon has moved to Portugal as General Manager for the InterContinental Palacio das Cardosas. Monzon was most recently serving as Resident Manager for the InterContinental Madrid.

Jeroen Quint has moved to Ireland to take over as General Manager for West Paces' Solis Lough Eske Castle. He was most recently serving as Director of Food and Beverage at their Solis Resort and Spa in Jamaica. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown.

The London Marriott Grosvenor Square has named John Hazard General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager for the Bristol Royal Marriott.

Ben Lawrence has joined Bewley's Hotel in Leeds as General Manager. He was most recently overseeing the Chiswick Moran Hotel as General Manager.

The Chiswick Moran Hotel has appointed Josh Cameron General Manager taking over for Ben Lawrence. He was most recently Front Office Manager at the Crown Moran Hotel.

Ignacio Granda Del Gallego is now Director of Food and Beverage at the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona. For the past three years he had been with the Mandarin Oriental Riviera Maya in Mexico as Executive Chef. He had previously served as Executive Chef at the Occidental Royal Hideaway in Mexico and the Occidental Hotel El Embajador in the Dominican Republic.

Adrian Messerli has been promoted to Food and Beverage Director joining the Four Seasons Ritz Lisbon. He was most recently the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Carmelo.  

Marylebone's Landmark London has appointed Nicola Forshaw Director of Human Resources. For the past fourteen years, she was overseeing human resources at Thistle and Guoman Hotels.
 
Peter Edholm has joined the Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris as Director of Sales. He was most recently a Senior Sales Manager for the Dorchester and previously a Sales Manager for the Hotel Principe di Savoia, both sister properties to the Plaza-Athénée.

Hélène Jouet-Asselin is the new Director of Finance at Paris's Hotel Bristol. Since 2007, she had been holding a similar position at the Four Seasons George V.

Joelle Edwards has joined the Oetker Collection (Bristol Paris, Hotel du Cap Eden Roc, Chateau du Domaine Saint Martin, Park Hotel Vitznau, Brenners Park) as Director of Revenue Management and Ecommerce. Based at the Bristol, she previously worked (like Bristol President Didier Le Calvez) at the Four Seasons George V and the Shangri-La Paris.

Georgina Evagora has joined the London Marriott Grosvenor Square as Director of Sales and Marketing. She had previously held various sales roles at Emirates Airlines, JW Marriott Dubai, Marriott Marble Arch as well as part of the opening teams for Renaissance Chancery Court and Marriott Executive Apartments, Dubai.

Moira Azzopardi is back at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square as Director of Revenue Strategy. She rejoins the hotel after previously serving as an Inventory Manager in 2007.

Adriano Cavagnini returns to London to join the soon-to-reopen Four Seasons London as Executive Chef. He had previously held the position of Executive Chef at the Grosvenor House and had spent time in Rome at La Terrazza at the Hotel Eden as Chef de Cuisine.

Eric Chauffour has joined the Chateau de Bagnols outside of Lyon as Executive Chef. He was most recently at the Institut Paul Bocuse, also in Lyon. He takes over from Matthieu Fontaine who had left the Chateau in May to open his own restaurant in Brittany.

Fabrice Vulin has relocated to Eze to take over as Chef de Cuisine at the Chateau de la Chèvre d'Or. For the past four years, he had been in Marrakech as Executive Chef at La Palmeraie Golf Palace.

Well-known hotelier Paolo de Pol, who had been the General Manager of Paris' George V and of Montreal's Chateau Champlain, among others, died at age 70. Most recently, he had been consulting for the UltraForce Group.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts has named Thomas Lind Vice President, Operations. Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Partner of Elysian Hotels & Resorts in Chicago. Lind had previously served as General Manager for the Four Seasons Riyadh and Four Seasons Mexico City.

Vincent Guironnet has been appointed General Manager of the Oberoi Rajvilas in Rajasthan, India. He was most recently the Resort Manager of the Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran Bay and, for the past eight months, took additional charge as acting Resort Manager for the Four Seasons Bali at Sayan. He had previously served as Resident Manager of the Conrad Bali Resort & Spa, and the Oberoi Bali.

Stefan Huemer has been named Regional General Manager for Jumeirah, overseeing their two properties in the Maldives, one in the Seychelles and one in Mauritius. He was most recently the General Manager for the InterContinental Los Angeles. He was previously the General Manager and Island Chief of the Kuredu Island Resort and Spa, in the Maldives.

Christof Luedi has moved to the Fairmont Orchid on Kona as General Manager. He was most recently in the same position at the Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui.

Charles Head is now in Maui to take over from Luedi at the Fairmont Kea Lani as General Manager. For the past four years, Head had been overseeing the Fairmont St. Andrews in Scotland.

Ed Linsley takes on his new role as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran Bay. He was most recently in Hawaii as Resort Manager for the Four Seasons at Manele Bay.

Craig Seaward has been appointed General Manager for the W Retreat and Spa Bali – Seminyak. He was most recently the General Manager of the Sheraton Surabaya Hotel and Towers and Pakuwon Golf and Family Club.

The Swisstouches Hotel Xian, scheduled to open in 2011, has named Johnny Mathis General Manager. A Lausanne graduate, Mathis was most recently the opening General Manager of the Diva Resort Maldives, following a career with Mövenpick and Shangri-La.

Godfrey Valentine Vas has been named General Manager of the Six Senses Zighy Bay. For the past three years, he had served as General Manager of the Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam.

Patrick Sibourg has been named General Manager of the Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar scheduled to open in 2011. He was most recently the opening General Manager of the Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside in Malaysia.

Swiss-Belhotel has appointed Natalia Tanudjaja General Manager of the Ciputra Golf Club and the Hotel Surabaya in Indonesia. She was most recently the General Manager of the Regency 21 Estates & Family Club.

Le Méridien Tahiti has named Nicholas Gauthier General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of Le Méridien Mandji in Gabon and had previously overseen Le Méridien Douala in Cameroon.

Kahealani Doss is the new General Manager of the Aqua Bamboo & Spa. Prior to her promotion, she was Hotel Manager for the Aqua Palms & Spa.

Dominique Berhouet has been appointed opening General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Hotel Guangzhou City Centre. He was most recently the General Manager at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Suites Landmark in Shenzhen.
  
The Four Seasons Mumbai has named Rizwan Shaikh Hotel Manager. For the past two years, he had been with the Oberoi Delhi as Executive Assistant Manager. He had previously served as General Manager of the Trident Bhubaneshwar.

Oliver Kreuzer has been promoted to Resident Manager at the Mandarin Oriental Manila. He joined the hotel in 2007 as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage. He had previously served in food and beverage roles for the Fullerton Hotel Singapore, the Four Seasons Maui, and the Plaza Athénée Hotel in New York.

Damian O'Donnell has moved as Resident Manager to the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort in Singapore. He was most recently in the same role for the Shangri-La Suzhou.

Michael Gnaegi has been named Hotel Manager of the Gateway Hotel, Hong Kong. He was most recently the Hotel Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Baltschug Moscow.

Joy Adler has been promoted to Hotel Manager of the Aqua Waikiki Wave. Most recently, she was the Guest Services Manager at the Aqua Bamboo & Spa.

Vikram Singh has been appointed Vice President Operations with the Archipelago Hotel and Resort in Malaysia. He had previously served as General Manager of Campton Place in San Francisco, and the Taj Exotica Resort and Spa in the Maldives.

Ronan Hénaff has moved to Shanghai with Three on the Bund as Chief Operating Officer. He was most recently with the Setai Wall Street as General Manager. He had previously served as General Manager at the Cipriani Wall Street and Director of Food and Beverage for the Carlyle.

François-Régis Simon has been named Food and Beverage Director at the Four Seasons Hong Kong. For the past three years, he had been at the Four Seasons George V as Food and Beverage Director.

Raj Mohan has transferred to open the Renaissance Sanya Resort & Spa as Director of Food and Beverage. He previously opened the Marriott North East Beijing as Director of Food and Beverage.

David Anderson has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, Brand Delivery, Asia Australasia and Global Resorts, for InterContinental Hotels Group based in Singapore. He has been with IHG for six years, most recently as Vice President, Global Brand Management for Crowne Plaza.

Chi Hoon Bang has been named Director of Sales Asia, overseeing both Halekulani and the Waikiki Parc Hotel's Asia sales division. He had previously served as Regional Director of Marketing and Planning, Asia, for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii.

Le Méridien Tahiti and Le Méridien Bora Bora have appointed Vincent Guérin Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently with the Westin Resort/The Ramanos in Greece, where he spent the past two years as Complex Director of Sales and Marketing. 

Will Gai has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Swisstouches Hotel Xian. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Sofitel Xian on Renmin Square.

Hilton Worldwide has named Celina Low Senior Director, Corporate Communications, Asia Pacific. She was most recently the Corporate Affairs Director in Levi Strauss' Asia Pacific Division. She had previously overseen communications for the Ascott Group Limited, and for the Singapore Tourism Board.

The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai has appointed Els Ramadhinta Senior Director of Communications. She was most recently the Director of Public Relations for the Ritz-Carlton Dubai. Previously, she had helmed the public relations departments for both the Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta and the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place.

Sébastien Cassagnol has joined the Pan Pacific Nirwana Resort as Executive Chef. He had previously been at the Anassa Cyprus as Executive Chef.

Alexander Capello jumps islands to serve as Executive Sous Chef for Four Seasons Resorts Lana`i. He was most recently with the Four Seasons Maui and had previously served in the kitchens for the Four Seasons Damascus, the Four Seasons Amman and the Four Seasons Canary Wharf.

Clinton Cooper has joined the Four Seasons Mumbai as Executive Chef. He had previously served as Executive Chef for the Shangri-La Dubai and the Shangri-La Changchun.

The Datai Langkawi has hired Benjamin Rambaud as Executive Pastry Chef. He was most recently at the Chedi Muscat in Oman as Executive Pastry Chef and had previously served in pastry roles with the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and the Anassa Hotel in Cyprus.

Yazan Latif has been promoted to Director of Rooms, joining the Four Seasons Jakarta. He was most recently at the Four Seasons Mauritius as Assistant Director of Rooms.

Robert Boyle, the Managing Director of Hawaii's Turtle Bay Resort and Regional Vice President Operations for Benchmark Hospitality, has died. Prior to joining Turtle Bay in 2005, he had a distinguished career in mountain resort management that included the role of President of Topnotch at Stowe for five years.

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Marc Denton has been appointed General Manager of the Oberoi Mauritius. Most recently, he was the General Manager of the Oberoi Rajvilas. He had previously served as General Manager of the Oberoi Lombok and the Oberoi Bali.

Jean-Francois Debon has joined the Constance Ephelia Resort and Spa in the Seychelles as General Manager. He was most recently in the Maldives as General Manager at the Lily Beach Resort and Spa. He had previously served as General Manager for the Six Senses Latitude Laamu and the Iririki Island Resort & Spa.

Ray McShane has been named General Manager for the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Spa Sokhna in Egypt. He was most recently in India as opening General Manager at the Centara Moksha Himalaya Spa Resort.

Stuart Deeson has been appointed General Manager of the Park Hyatt Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. He had most recently held the same position for the Park Hyatt Dubai.

Gerald Moutte has joined the JW Marriott Tripoli as General Manager. He had previously served as General Manager for the Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort in Sharm El Sheikh and Hotel Manager for the JW Marriott Cairo.

Sjefke Jansen has moved to Le Touessrok on Mauritius as General Manager. Jansen was most recently in the same position for the Oberoi Mauritius.

The Park Hyatt Dubai has appointed Adrian Slater General Manager. He had previously served as General Manager at the Hyatt Regency Jeju and the Park Hyatt Seoul.

The Hyatt Regency Dubai has appointed Michael von Siebenthal General Manager. The Lausanne grad had previously served as General Manager for the Hyatt Regency Bandung, the Hyatt Regency Kuantan, the Hyatt Regency Saipan and the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka.

The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea has appointed Masami Egami Hotel Manager. Previous positions include Resident Manager for the InterContinental Yokohama Grand, General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing at the InterContinental Bahrain.

The Traders Hotel Abu Dhabi has appointed Christian Nannucci Resident Manager. He joins the hotel from the Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, Penang, where he held a similar position for two years.

The Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza has appointed Roy Buitenkamp as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently with the Nanjing InterContinental as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously overseen food and beverage for the St. Regis New York, and the Waldorf.

Luciano Scelza has joined the JW Marriott Tripoli as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently in the same position for the Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino.

The Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Elie Milky as Manager, Business Development, Middle East and Africa, based in Dubai. Since 2007, Milky had been with HVS International as an Associate.

Holger Frehde has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Four Seasons Marrakech. He was most recently with the Four Seasons Houston, a property he joined in 2004 as a Corporate Sales Manager before being promoted in 2008 to Director of Sales and Marketing.

The Hyatt Regency Dubai & Galleria has appointed Ann Kang Director of Sales. She was most recently with the Conrad Hotel Tokyo as Associate Director of Sales. 

The Grand Hyatt Amman has promoted Bana Toukan to the post of Director of Sales and Marketing. She joined the hotel as a Sales Manager and was most recently serving as Associate Director of Sales.

Thorsten Beermann has joined the Hilton Doha as Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same position for the Media Rotana Hotel in Dubai.

The Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza has promoted Tarek Nour to Director of Rooms. He joined the resort two years ago as Front Office Manager before being promoted to Assistant Director of Rooms.
