
TravelCLICK Reports Top Ten Asia-Pacific Markets for 3rd Quarter.
TravelCLICK reported today that Asia-Pacific room nights booked electronically through the Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and key Internet sites increased 19.5% in the third quarter of 2003 versus the same quarter last year. In comparison, worldwide electronic bookings increased 10.5% for the third quarter of 2003.
The average daily rate (ADR) for the Asia-Pacific region was $119.25, an increase of 3.0% versus the same quarter last year.
TravelCLICK's reports are compiled from its comprehensive database, which is the exclusive source of hotel industry electronic distribution data from the Abacus/Infini, Axess, Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, and Worldspan GDS. TravelCLICK's data also includes consumer online hotel bookings made through many of the major Internet travel sites, now including those powered by Pegasus Solutions.

Top Asia-Pacific Destination Markets - Third Quarter

"Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong show a strong recovery in the third quarter after recovering from the effects of the SARS epidemic which negatively impacted the second quarter."
