Reaching from coast to coast, InterContinental Hotels Group announced today the opening of its two latest properties in the New York and San Francisco areas. The 183-room Crowne Plaza-JFK Airport and the 268-room Crowne Plaza-Oakland South are the newest properties to join the Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts portfolio.
The Crowne Plaza-JFK Airport is conveniently located at the entrance to JFK Airport at the intersection of the Van Wyke Expressway and the Belt Parkway. The property is just minutes from Shea Stadium, Belmont Park racetrack and Aqueduct racetrack. The hotel has two dining facilities. The restaurant's casual dining menu at Birchwood's offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and for guests who prefer lighter fare, the hotel's bar, Fitzgerald's offers a light dinner menu. The Crowne Plaza-JFK Airport offers complimentary shuttle service to the airport for guests. Thirteen guestrooms are suites at the Crowne Plaza-JFK Airport, including a presidential suite equipped with a Jacuzzi tub and a separate living room area, and the hotel also offers more than 6,000 sq. feet of meeting space.
The Crowne Plaza-Oakland South is centrally located between the San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland airports just off the 880 Freeway. With three dining facilities, guests can enjoy Californian bistro cuisine for breakfast or dinner at Vanessa Restaurant or Korean cuisine and sushi at Koryo Palace for lunch and dinner. Vanessa Lounge, a sports bar is open during the evening hours. Tennis and racquetball as well as complimentary parking are available to guests. The Crowne Plaza-Oakland South has three suites and the hotel offers more than 10,000 sq. feet of meeting space.
Guest room amenities at both hotels include: voice mail, coffee maker, hair dryer, make-up mirror, data ports and iron and ironing board. Both hotels also offer a 24-hour reception desk, express checkout, fitness center, concierge, gift shop, business center, valet parking and complimentary newspaper.
