
10th World Travel Awards Held October 13, 2003 in New York City.
InterContinental The Barclay New York was named "North America's Leading Business Hotel", on Monday night, October 13, at the 10th World Travel Awards. The event, held in New York City at The Plaza, celebrated achievements in all areas of the travel and tourism industry.
InterContinental The Barclay New York competed against leading business hotels such as the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, Chicago, the Fairmont Hotels in San Francisco and Boston and The Hilton New York for this prestigious award.

Candidates for nomination are based upon the previous year's voting. Travel agents in over 200 countries around the world cast the votes. Hundreds and thousands of votes each year are registered online at the official World Travel Awards website, with most of the leading travel Internet sites offering additional online voting facilities.
Last year, InterContinental The Barclay New York was also ranked among the top three "Best Business Hotel in North America" by Business Traveler, alongside The Plaza and The Four Seasons, New York.
