Readers Of Travel & Leisure Golf Rank Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Amongst Canada's Best

The results are in and the verdict is out…Fairmont Hotels & Resorts across Canada receive top honors in Travel & Leisure Golf's first annual World's Best Golf Resorts: 2003 Reader Survey. Sweeping the leader board, Fairmont's collection of golf destinations make up more than half of the ‘Canadian Region' list, landing number one rankings in each of the magazine's seven categories. Fairmont's resorts in Scottsdale and Maui also scored well with readers, and many are offering special fall packages for one last game before the season ends.

Travel & Leisure Golf's reader survey is comprised of questions, ranging from "what is the best golf resort for a family trip?" to "what is the best golf resort based on course conditions, service and pace of play?" The high profile golf magazine set out to find the best golf destinations according to the best golfers.

Highlighting the list is The Fairmont Banff Springs, landing five first place rankings among readers as a favorite golf destination in Canada. Six Fairmont properties impressively made up the entire list for "the best resort in Canada in terms of service, food, rooms, and other non-golf facilities" including The Fairmont Banff Springs, The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, and Fairmont Tremblant.

For the first time, through a comprehensive online survey, Travel & Leisure Golf readers rated hundreds of properties across the Americas, Scotland and Ireland in numerous categories including best golf courses, family vacationing, and overall quality of the resort experience. Travel & Leisure Golf also named two of Fairmont's most distinguished U.S. golf courses to its list. In the Western U.S. category, The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess ranked #18 out of 28 for its world-renowned golf resort, and for the Hawaii region, The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui ranked #12 out of 17 for best golf resort for a family trip.
