CAPITAL M has made its debut on Beijing's historic Qianmen Street in September, #2 Qianmen Street -- Beijing's most celebrated shopping street for over 600 years.
This is the third restaurant in the M group, together with M at the Fringe in Hong Kong and M on the Bund and the Glamour Bar in Shanghai.
Capital M will share with its siblings delicious cuisine, unparalleled service, and a glamorous setting in a breathtaking historic location.
Historic Location
Capital M is located at 2 Qianmen Dajie, which has been Beijing's most celebrated shopping street for over 600 years.
Capital M diners will enjoy spectacular views of Tian'anmen Square from the south, taking in the imposing Qianmen Gate as well as Tian'anmen Gate in its entirety, right up to the entrance to the Forbidden City.
Spectacular Interior & Views The restaurant's interior, designed by Debra Little and Roger Hackworth (who also created the award-winning interiors of M on the Bund and the Glamour Bar), will be equally as spectacular. In addition to the signature M dining room, there will also be a less formal lounge for casual dining, a bar area and spacious outdoor terraces all around.
Delicious ‘Simply Good Food'
Capital M will serve the delicious "simply good food" that is a hallmark of M Restaurants; modern European food that is a collection of classics and nostalgic favourites. Lunch will be served throughout the day, and traditional afternoon tea, served daily, is likely to become a Beijing institution. General manager Espen Harbitz – 10 years with M Restaurant Group – leads Capital M's team of expatriate and local professionals, ensuring M's long tradition of warm hospitality.
2009 is a landmark year for M Restaurants: M at the Fringe will celebrate its 20th anniversary in November; M on the Bund turned 10 in January; and this autumn, a new landmark opens in the nation's capital: CAPITAL M.
Capital M is located on Beijing's historic Qianmen Street, and serves delicious modern European cuisine in a glamorous setting overlooking Tian'anmen Square. It is the sister venue of Shanghai's most popular restaurant, M on the Bund and the legendary M at the Fringe in Hong Kong, and also a sibling of the beautiful Glamour Bar – named one of the world's hottest bars by Conde Nast Traveler.
