IHG shuffles executives in Asia Pacific.

InterContinental Hotels Group has announced changes in its Asia Pacific management set up.

Sources tell 4Hoteliers.com that Edmond Ip, the company's long serving Chief Operating Officer Greater China will be promoted as Chief Adviser, still based in Singapore.

The role Mr Ip will take is to focus on the long-term planning for IHG Asia Pacific and will cover the whole region.

In addition, Bruce McKenzie, currently holding the post of Regional Senior Vice President Operations, Greater China since April 2005 will be promoted to Chief Operating Officer, Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific. Mr McKenzie will be based in Sydney.

Keith Barr, currently in that position, will become the Chief Operating Officer, Greater China, based in Shanghai.
