Former IHG Chief Executive for the Asia Pacific Region, Patrick Imbardelli has been appointed President & CEO of the Hotel Plaza Group.
Mr. Imbardelli has taken up the position effective of 21 July 2008 and is replacing Mr. Gwee Lian Kheng who has relinquished his position as President and CEO of the Company and he will be re-designated as Group Chief Executive.
Mr Imbardelli, 48, has more than 25 years of experience in the hotel industry and had resigned from the Intercontinental Hotels Group in June 2007 after enquiries related to his resume content.
As President and CEO, Hotels, Mr Imbardelli shall lead the Hotel Plaza Group and be responsible for its day-to-day management and operations.
In particular, he shall oversee the management and expansion of the Hotel Plaza Group's hotels including the "Parkroyal" chain.
He shall also supervise the "Pan Pacific" hotel management arm, which currently is owned by the Company's parent company, UOL Group Limited.
