Singapore GP has appointed Pelican System to offer packages via the official 2008 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix website.

The website will feature Pelican's advanced hotel reservation system and offer complete hotel packages, race tickets, airport transfers and a host of activities such as local sightseeing tours.

Pelican System, with its proven track record of clients from 36 countries, will provide a complete end-to-end solution for all hotel reservation needs including marketing to hotels to encourage participation, set-up, user training and maintenance.

"By partnering with Pelican System, www.singaporegp.sg will be able to offer visitors a complete hotel and race package for the convenience of racing fans. All reservations will be confirmed real-time and handled by the hotels directly to ensure a smoother booking process," said Michael Roche, Executive Director of Singapore GP Pte Ltd.

Pelican System will also provide an extranet for participating hotels so they can adjust rates and allotment to maximize their revenue potential. Hotels will be able to offer additional amenities and services such as meals, extra beds, or champagne. Hotels will be able to generate a fully customisable reservation report, complete with rooming lists, to track room inventory status and even receive an alert when room inventory reach a pre-set minimum threshold.

The hotel package reservation system will be up on www.singaporegp.sg by January 2008.
