Source : Millennium Hotels and Resorts
With the launch of the program Millennium Hotels is able to provide its guests and cultural travelers, in key cities with convenient and often exclusive access to important cultural programming.

The new visual arts program, that partners MHR with many of North America's leading museums and cultural organizations.

Millennium on View was inaugurated in late 2004 in partnership with The Museum of Modern Art, New York, in conjunction with the much-heralded reopening of MoMA. MoMA is located just blocks from the Millennium Broadway Hotel in the heart of Times Square. Due to the great success of this unique partnership, MHR expanded the program to other cities to offer guests in key markets everything from VIP entry to openings—typically reserved for institutions' top members—to easy access to coveted exhibitions, which may have waiting lists or require advance ticket purchase.

Millennium on View was officially introduced to the public on March 8, 2006, at the Millennium Broadway's historic Hudson Theatre. The gala event was attended by an array of collectors, arts professionals and opinion-makers, as well as representatives of the partnering institutions such as MoMA, The Asia Society, China Institute, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

The Millennium on View program is based on MHR's recognition that tourists rank the visual arts among their top reasons for traveling. MHR is committed to responding to the interests of this growing number of cultural travelers—and to the art world that serves them—by fostering significant cultural partnerships that enhance each visitor's experience with art and artists of our time.

Current partners in the Millennium on View program are generally within close proximity of a MHR property and include: The Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; The Los Angeles County Museum of Art; The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; The Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; and the Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati. Additional partnerships will also be announced this year, further strengthening MHR's role as a patron and active supporter of some of the country's most important cultural programs.

Through these partnerships, the cultural traveler may choose the Millennium on View room package that best suits their needs and cultural interests.?STRONG>Millennium on View room packages may include tickets and passes to exhibition previews, VIP entrance to special exhibitions, exclusive receptions, and private tours. Cultural travelers are encouraged to use the program as a portal to the art world—an insider's experience of the creative pulse of each destination city. Through the Millennium on View network, guests may also be able to select from commercial and social events on the art calendar often reserved for collectors and other insiders, including modern and contemporary art fairs, biennials, and festivals.

Millennium on View is not only designed for those seeking entry into the art world but also for those already actively involved, including visiting collectors, dealers, curators, artists, art patrons, and connoisseurs. [Special packages tailored for the art world business traveler with more specific needs will also be available].

Throughout 2006, MHR will announce additional partnerships with Millennium on View. This partnership will serve as a significant tool for partnering institutions in their efforts to expand membership and audiences, as well as sharing ideas to widen interest in the arts.
