A hotel management company is established to manage and oversee the daily operations, of its more than 20 managed Wyndham^® hotels and appointed Greg Ade, a veteran lodging executive who has managed 1,000-plus-room hotels, as its president.

Reporting to Steven A. Rudnitsky, Hotel Group chairman and chief executive officer, Ade will oversee the company's managed Wyndham hotels and the nearly 3,500 employees who work in them.

Providing management services is a prerequisite to success in the upscale segment, Rudnitsky said.  "By managing hotels, we will gain insight and experience to better understand the needs of our owners and franchisees, promote franchise development and accelerate new-construction projects beyond what would be possible in a pure franchising model."

Ade's nearly three decades of experience includes managing hotels with more than 1,000 rooms, including the New York Palace and several other world-class properties.

"Greg Ade understands the Wyndham product and the upscale segment and will help us develop a premier management company that will provide best-in-class operations," Rudnitsky said.  "He also will work closely with the Wyndham management team to strengthen and position the brand for future growth."

Ade formerly served Interstate Hotels and Resorts of Arlington, Va., as vice president, operations.  He joined that company in 1996 as a regional vice president.  Prior to that he worked at the property level since 1976 in hotels throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, California and Illinois in a variety of capacities including general manager and rooms division manager. 

Ade received his bachelor's degree in hotel management from the University of Denver.
