Business & Leisure laud InterContinental Hotels properties across the Middle East, and scooped 12 prestigious accolades at three of the industries major award events.
Two of the hotel chain's properties were awarded trophies at the DEPA Middle East hotels awards, with the stunning Intercontinental Phoenicia receiving ‘Best Business Hotel' in the Middle East, while InterContinental Dubai walked away with ‘Best Chinese Restaurant' in the Middle East for the China Club.
The following evening, the InterContinental Hotels Group celebrated six award wins at the Middle East & North Africa Travel Awards. Two of the Group's properties in Egypt were recognized with the recently opened and lavish InterContinental Citystars Cairo awarded ‘Best Five Star New Hotel' in the Middle East and Holiday Inn Amphoras Sharm El Sheikh receiving the ‘Best Four Star Leisure Hotel' gold award.
In the UAE, the InterContinental Abu Dhabi was named the ‘Best Five-Star Business Corporate Hotel' and the Crowne Plaza Dubai took home the ‘Best Price Value Hotel' gold award. The Al Bustan Palace Muscat won the ‘Best Conference Hotel' gold award, while the InterContinental Mzaar was presented with the silver award for ‘Best Five-Star Leisure Hotel'.
The DEPA and MENA award wins concluded a successful week for the InterContinental Hotels Group, which was also named the ‘Best Business Hotel Chain in the Middle East' at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards - the fouth time the hotel chain has won the award in five years.
Three of the Group's most impressive and service-orientated properties were also presented with awards, with InterContinental Jordan receiving ‘Best Business Hotel in Amman Award', the InterContinental Riyadh taking‘Best Business Hotel in Riyadh Award' and the InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut voted ‘Best Business Hotel in Beirut'.
It is the third time the InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut and the InterContinental Riyadh have been honored with the prestigious accolades, after winning the awards in 2003 and 2004.
