UK conference specialist Proposal Ltd moves to build business online through new 4oceans agreement.
Independent conference specialist Proposal Ltd has chosen online booking technology from electronic distribution specialist 4oceans to build business through its website.
The agreement sees 4oceans provide a customised version of its ResEngine booking platform to Proposal, enabling the company to feature fully branded client booking sites with negotiated rates, real time reservations and detailed allocation management.
The 4oceans solution now provides Proposal customers with online access to over 50,000 hotels worldwide including over 1,300 hotels in the growth market of China. Proposal clients can log in and make real-time bookings for accommodation around the globe, with access to special rates, at-a-glance availability and instant online confirmation, providing savings in both time and money.
Featuring both major hotels groups and "non-GDS" type properties, the ResEngine booking service also provides Proposal with an easy customer service management solution, with its detailed commission reports and reservation updates, and direct client booking options for flexibility.
Proposal's Managing Director Jeff Fenton, said: "Proposal required an automated on-line booking platform due to increased demand from clients for booking individual accommodation.
"After reviewing several options including Sabre, Worldspan and Galileo it was decided that 4oceans offered the best solution. The agreement with 4oceans gives us the opportunity to strengthen our business with improved control, reporting and customer service, in effect a one-stop-shop that will save cost and time, all of which are key for the long-term development of our brand."
Based in London, Proposal Ltd - www.proposalltd.com - specialises in free venue finding, with their comprehensive conference service also offering event and production management, accommodation booking and entertainment sourcing, working with a number of companies from charities to blue chip organisations.
Peter Thornton, Business Development Director at 4oceans, added: "ResEngine offers control and flexibility, Proposal Ltd needed a solution that would open the door to easy, worldwide reservations, helping enhance its product offering and building strong new revenue streams.
"By working closely with Proposal we have created a customised ResEngine that meets their individual requirements for real time bookings and advanced customer management. The result is a powerful tool in the push to build online bookings in the current market climate."
4oceans' ResEngine solution was launched last year to simplify and maximise the online booking potential for both travel agents and hoteliers. Providing a low-cost, low-risk entry into the online booking market, 4oceans charges a very modest monthly license and transaction fee, limiting the financial investment required from agents and hotels and tying it to actual revenue produced.
Direct connections to all hotel groups' central reservation systems allow ResEngine users to see last-minute offers, providing both hoteliers and agents with a route to promote and sell the latest deals, all bookable in a real time environment through an easy three-step booking process. |
