If you were Lady Gaga, which hotel would you choose for your stay in London?

Apparently it's no longer The Lanesborough, once known for being Lady Gaga's favourite London hotel, it appears it is now The Dorchester - already well known for being a celebrity hotel!.

Lady Gaga was seen this time last year leaving The Lanesborough, swamped by a huge crowd of fans as can be seen in this video.

However more recently, Gaga apparently offered to pick up the tab for a deluxe room at The Dorchester (like the one below) for a couple having their wedding there, whilst staying at the same hotel herself.  A generous offer but apparently declined as the couple had already made other plans.

She created quite a stir last November as she was photographed kissing a doorman at The Lanesborough on the cheek according to Hotel Chatter.

Also last December, The Lanesborough celebrated its 20th anniversary and joined our campaign at London Hotels Insight for expensive London hotels to offer free WiFi.  The Dorchester unfortunately charges Lady Gaga and other guests extra for WiFi (though "basic" internet whatever that means is apparently free) on top of its eye-watering room rates.

However, it seems that her new favourite London hotel is the Dorchester.

Both are on LHI's top 10 most expensive London hotels list and it would be interesting to know why Lady Gaga's preferences are different this year.

Personally, we think The Lanesborough is more fun thanks to its butler service, secret bar and exquisite afternoon tea – but maybe she prefers The Dorchester's ever so slightly more showy celebrity vibe?

Either way, we'll keep our eyes peeled to find out where she chooses to stay on her next visit to London.  Claridge's anyone?
