Russia still provides potential for new hotels: 128 in the pipeline.

Russia is the Eldorado for international hotel chains: top players like the Rezidor Hotel Group currently has 17 new top hotel projects in its pipeline, Hilton Worldwide dishes even 21 hotel projects.

According to TOPHOTELPROJECTS, the leading online data provider of hotel chains and projects worldwide, there are currently 128 new hotels with more than 40,400 rooms under construction or development in Russia. The largest hotels with more than 1,000 rooms will arise in the Russian capital Moscow and Sochi, staging the Winter Olympics 2014.

Hotel market experts from Horwath HTL value the market potential for new, chain operated hotels at a continuously high level. It is said, that the Sochi Winter Olympics (7th until 23rd February 2014) at the beautiful Black Sea cost will stimulate this development for the whole of Russia.

International hotel chains continue to expand their portfolio in this vast country. Hilton Worldwide currently has 21 top hotel projects with more than 4,200 rooms in the pipeline, thereof six new properties in Moscow.

Besides the prime brand also Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton brands will be among new hotel development projects. Carlson Rezidor builds 17 new hotels with more than 3,500 rooms in Russia, thereof two Radisson Blu Resorts and a Park Inn hotel in Sochi.
