Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts has announced its debut in China later this year: In co-operation with Chinese Beijing Yun Bang Investment Trade Co LTD in the form of a joint venture named The German Hotelgroup (Beijing) Co Ltd., this summer the "Maximilian" managed by Steigenberger shall open in China's capital Bejing.
The property will have 300 rooms, a Chinese restaurant and, as a contribution to Steigenberger's homeland, a typical Berlin café. A beer pub will give an impression of German life style.The 1300 square-foot conference area with 12 separate meeting rooms is available for meetings and events.
A spacious Spa area with various saunas, steam baths and applications offers plenty of space for relaxation.The five star hotel is located at the Audi World North of Bejing's centre.
In winter 2015 there is scheduled another property at the coast side in former Olympic sailing port Qingdao. At least the name is already public: "Shaohai".
There are plans for another ten Steigenberger hotels in China, the company did announce. "We are convinced that quality made in Germany is going to be a success story on the Chinese market as well", Steigenberger CEO Puneet Chhatwal said.
