In the New World, Technology, Data and Marketing Must Come Together.

RADIUS will leverage technology and data to seal its position as the leading corporate travel management company looking after mid-size multinationals on a global and regional level, says Nicholas Stafford, its senior vice president-marketing and business development. (right)

It recently took on Vinod George, who has over 20 years of IT leadership experience in the travel and telecommunications industries, as chief information officer.

Vinod (left), who was from TUI Travel, said his mission was to turn data into action. "There is an opportunity to make a real difference here to our clients and agency members."

He added, "Data is very important to the game but the information is only useful in the hands of someone who is willing and able to do something about it."

His objective thus is to build a scalable architecture for data management which would allow customers "to move data from information to knowledge to action".

WIT spoke to Stafford and Vinod on the sidelines of the RADIUS 2011 Global Meeting in Dubai in January. Stafford said Radius finished 2010 on a high note and over the last two years, it's grown the average value of its business by 25%. "It shows our data-centric model is working."
