Cornell graduate, Michael Sansbury has been appointed Managing Director of the Seven Stars Luxury Resort on Turks and Caicos. He was most recently the Executive Vice President of Operations for Bahia Mar currently under construction in the Bahamas. He had previously served as Regional Vice President and Managing Director of Loews Hotels.

Pascal Deyrolle has joined La Samanna on St. Martin as General Manager. He was previously the General Manager for La Residence d'Angkor.

David Mounteer has been named General Manager at the Hazelton Hotel and Private Residences in Toronto. He had previously served as General Manager for the Relais & Château Auberge Saint-Antoine and as Director of Food and Beverage at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. 

Tim Thuell has joined the Inn at Dos Brisas as General Manager. For the past year he had been overseeing the Mid Ocean Club in Bermuda. He had previously served as General Manager for the Chanler at Cliffwalk in Rhode Island and Meadowood in Napa Valley.

Christian Hansen has been appointed General Manager of the Conrad Chicago. Hansen succeeds Russell Menkes, who was recently named General Manager at the Drake Hotel. Hansen was previously serving as General Manager at the multi-branded Hiltons of Oak Brook complex. 

Earl Nightingale has been named General Manager of the Millennium Knickerbocker Chicago. Nightingale had spent 24 of his 34 years in hospitality as General Manager for Omni Hotels & Resorts, and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.

Gnell Abracosa has joined the Custom Hotel, LAX as General Manager. She was previously the Director of Sales and Marketing for the hotel. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Palihouse West Hollywood and as Director of Sales at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica.

Cornell graduate Ilan Segal has left the Gansevoort Miami to start his own venture, Soulity. He was most recently the Managing Director at the Gansevoort and had previously overseen Miami hotels the Hotel Victor and the Tides. 

Toronto's Hôtel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square has named Paul de la Durantaye General Manager. He comes over from sister hotel, the Hôtel Le Germain Toronto on Mercer Street where he also served as General Manager.

Marcus Jackson has been promoted with Montage Hotels and Resorts to the position of General Manager at the Montage Deer Valley, slated to open in December. He was most recently the Resort Manager for the Montage Laguna Beach.

David Kingston has been appointed General Manager of the Snake River Lodge & Spa in Jackson Hole, WY. He was most recently serving as General Manager at the Red Lion on the River in Portland, Oregon.

Karina Addari has been named General Manager of the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City. Addari was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, Washington. She had previously served as Director of Restaurants at the Biltmore Hotel in Florida and had held various managerial positions at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

Stephen Prakash has been named General Manager of Seaview near Atlantic City. He was previously with Harrah's Entertainment as Vice President of non-gaming operations for Caesar's Atlantic City.

Chesapeake Hospitality has appointed Joseph Smith Executive Vice President. He was most recently President of Alliance Hospitality and previously served as President of Boykin Management Company.

Stan Soroka has been appointed Hilton Worldwide's Area Vice President-Florida & Hilton Grand Vacation Resort Operations. He had previously held the positions of Senior Vice President with Adam's Mark Hotels and Resorts and Managing Director of El Conquistador Resort and Las Casitas Village in Puerto Rico.

Ron Day has been appointed General Manager for the Rose Hall Resort & Spa, a Hilton Resort, in Jamaica. He was most recently at the helm of LXR's Saratoga Hilton and the Miami Beach Resort & Spa. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage for the El Conquistador Resort & Spa and Las Casitas Village in Puerto Rico.  

Geno Iafrate has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager of L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort in Louisiana. He was most recently serving as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah's Entertainment's Northwest Louisiana operations, including the Horseshoe Casino & Hotel and Louisiana Downs. 

Hugh Templeman has been promoted to General Manager of sister hotel, the Avalon Beverly Hills. He was most recently with the Viceroy Santa Monica as Director, Hotel Operations.

The St. Giles Hotel Group has appointed David Lopez General Manager to oversee the Court New York and the Tuscany New York, both formerly operated under the W flag. Previously, Lopez launched Tecton Hospitality's Desires Hotel's boutique hotel, Hotel Mela, located in the theater district.

Mark Jeffrey has been named Area Vice President for Southeast and Caribbean for RockResorts and Vail Resorts. He will also serve as General Manager of Tempo Miami. Most recently, he was the General Manager of the Doral Golf Resort and Spa Marriott in Miami. He had previously held the position of Area General Manager of Marriott's Griffin Gate Resort and Spa in Lexington, KY for seven years.

David Mars has joined the Montage Deer Valley as Resort Manager. For the past two years, he had been with the Resort at Pelican Hill as Rooms Executive. He had previously served in rooms management positions for the Renaissance Las Vegas, the Signature at MGM Grand, Skylofts at the MGM Grand and the former Four Seasons Aviara.

David Lang is now with the Chamberlain West Hollywood as Director of Operations. For the past two years, he had been with the Hotel Angeleno as Director of Rooms. He had previously served in various operation positions for the Hotel Oceana Santa Barbara, the Hotel Vitale in San Francisco and the Four Seasons Dallas.

Troy Pade has moved to the Viceroy Santa Monica as Director, Hotel Operations. He was most recently the General Manager of the Shangri-La Santa Monica. Pade previously held various sales management positions with the Oceana Hotel Group, the Hollywood Roosevelt and Mondrian.

Steve Gomez has moved to Newport Beach to take over as Resident Manager for the Marriott. For the past three years, he had been in San Diego, most recently at the Sè Hotel as Hotel Manager. He had previously been at Rancho Bernardo Inn as Assistant General Manager.

John Gorski has moved to the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago as Director of Finance. For the past three years, he had been serving as Controller for the Eaglewood Resort and Spa outside Chicago. He had previously held various finance positions with the West Paces Hotel Group and Marriott International, based in Chicago.

Luc Akellino has joined the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa as Director of Food and Beverage. He was formerly the Vice President of Food and Beverage for the Rio Hotel Las Vegas.

Gerardo Cardenas has joined the Ritz-Carlton Santiago as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously served in food and beverage management position for Six Senses and One&Only Resorts.

Hospitality Ventures in Atlanta has named Susan Sanders Vice President of Strategic Planning and Human Resources. Previously, she was Director, Organizational Development, for Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Director, Training & Development, for the Impac Hotel Group and subsequently Lodgian.

Virginie Plin has been appointed Executive Director of Human Resources for the London West Hollywood. She had previously served in human resource positions for Four Seasons Resorts South Pacific, the W Chicago Lakeshore, the Omni Chicago and the W Montreal.

Kelly Nelson takes over for Austin Watkins as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Four Seasons San Francisco. She was most recently overseeing marketing for the Four Seasons Palo Alto. 

Barcelo Hotels & Resorts has appointed Magda Hanna Director of Meeting and Incentive Sales for the West Coast. She had previously worked in sales with the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, and with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. 

Deidre Ryan has joined the Ace Hotel New York as Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past three years, she had been in the same role for Kimpton at the VU hotel in New York.

Peter Bonell has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at Paradise Point & Spa on San Diego's Mission Bay. He was most recently the President of Performance Golf Alliance. He had previously overseen sales and marketing for Ginn Clubs & Resorts, Colonial Williamsburg Resorts, Hershey Entertainment and Resorts and the Broadmoor.

Pamela Feeley has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the Sonesta Hotel Downtown Orlando. Most recently, she served as Director of Sales and Marketing as well as Regional Senior Sales Manager for the Grand Bohemian in Denver.    

Katherine Saad has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront Resort. She was most recently with Walt Disney World as Senior Catering and Convention Services Manager at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Lake Buena Vista.  

Drew Toth has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the Villas of Grand Cypress Resort. He had previously served as Regional Director – Florida - for Destination Hotels & Resorts, Senior Vice President–Washington, D.C. for Associated Luxury Hotels International and Vice President Sales and Marketing for the Westin Rio Mar Beach Golf Resort & Spa.  

The Great Wolf Lodge has named Shannon Kirchberg Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Embassy Suites Seattle–Tacoma International Airport. 

The Carmel Valley Ranch has appointed Mark Feldman Director of Sales. He was most recently with the Grand Del Mar near San Diego as Director of Group Sales. Feldman previously served in sales positions for Pebble Beach Resorts, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua and the Grand Wailea Resort. 

The Woodstock Inn & Resort in Vermont has appointed Courtney Lowe Director of Sales and Marketing. Lowe was most recently a Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Benchmark Hospitality International. He had previously held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for the Bedford Springs Resort.  

The Clift Hotel in San Francisco has appointed Kevin Busch Director of Marketing. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hilton Long Beach & Executive Meeting Center.  

Omni Hotels & Resorts has named Tracie Houston-Amend Director of Business Travel Sales. She was most recently with Kimpton Hotels as Area Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hotel Palomar and Hotel Lumen in Dallas. 

SBE has named Erin Shaffer Director of Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Public Relations for Crocmedia. She had previously served as Senior Director of Communications and Partnerships for Hilton Hotels Luxury and Lifestyle Brands as well as Senior Manager of W Hotels and St. Regis Hotels for Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Catherine Kent has been appointed Director of Hotel Sales at the Royal Sonesta Boston. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Radisson Boston.  

John Oakley has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the InterContinental Houston The Galleria. Previously, Oakley served as Director of Sales at the Westin Galleria and Westin Oaks Houston.

The Wyndham Rio Mar has named Keith Kirsten Director of Sales. He was most recently with the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority as Assistant Director of Convention Sales.

Lori Alstrom has joined the Wyndham Rio Mar as National Sales Manager. She was most recently with the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Niagara Falls as a Sales Manager.

Gary Avise has joined the Miramonte Resort and Spa as National Sales Manager. He was most recently the Director of Group Sales for the Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage.

Karen Gerhart has been named Director of Catering for the Doubletree Hotel Chicago Magnificent Mile. She was most recently the Director of Catering at the Wyndham Chicago Hotel.

The JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina has named Raymond Donato Catering Sales Manager. For the past nine years he had served as Food and Beverage Manager at the adjacent Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club.

Sean Dent has joined Google in Santa Monica as Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Chef for the Topa Tower Club in Oxnard. Dent had previously held various culinary positions at the InterContinental Los Angeles, the Beverly Hilton and Michel Richard's Citrus.

Thomas Moran has joined Disney Studios in Burbank as Executive Chef. He comes from two years with USC Hospitality as Executive Chef. He was previously in the same capacity at the Sheraton Gateway LAX, and opened Forsythia Bistro Café and Thomas Moran's Petite Syrah, both in Connecticut.

The Grand Bahama's Nandana Resort has named Rolando Arrunategui Executive Chef. He was previously the Executive Chef at Casa Casuarina, formerly the Versace Mansion in Miami Beach. 

Simon Lewis has been named Executive Sous Chef at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite. He had previously served in various culinary positions at Richard Chen Pittsburgh, the Signature Hotel at MGM Grand, Joel Robuchon at the Mansion, and Tru in Chicago.         

Luigi Alberganti has moved as General Manager of Fiamma Trattoria in the MGM Grand Las Vegas. For the past year he was the hotel's Director of Room Service. He had previously served in the hotel as General Manager of Diego and Assistant General Manager-Sommelier at Shibuya.  
 
Benjamin Simpao has joined the Miyako Hybrid Hotel in Los Angeles as Assistant General Manager. Previously, he had overseen rooms for the Raffles Canouan on St. Vincent and the former Raffles L'Ermitage Beverly Hills.

La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad has appointed Michelle Frye Spa Director. She was most recently at the Sé Spa at the Sé San Diego as Spa Director. 

EUROPE 

Arco Buijs has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Steigenberger Hotels in Frankfurt. He had previously been with the Spanish hotel group NH since 2001 and was most recently the group's Chief Executive Officer for the hotels in Benelux, France, Great Britain and Africa.

Rivero Delgado has moved to the Ritz-Carlton-run Villa Padierna in Marbella, Spain. He had previously served as Hotel Manager for the Ritz-Carlton-run Abama in Tenerife and as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hotel Arts Barcelona.

Marco Novella has joined the Villa San Michele in Fiesole, Italy as General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of London's Baglioni. He is a former General Manager of Venice's Gritti Palace and Rome's Grand Hotel for Starwood. He also previously worked at Monaco's Hôtel de Paris and at the Four Seasons Milano. 

Thierry Lavalley takes over for Michael Henssler as General Manager of the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva. He was most recently overseeing the Swissôtel Métropole Geneva.

Ken Dittrich has been named General Manager of the Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg in Russia, taking over from Asaad Farag. He had been with Sol Melia, most recently as Area Vice President for Sol Melia and Managing Director at the Gran Melia Caracas Venezuela. Previously, he had served as Managing Director of the Sol Melia Paradisus Riviera Hotel in Cancún and for the Gran Melia Golf Resort in Puerto Rico. 

Julia Record has joined the Dorchester Collection to head up public relations. She was previously overseeing public relations for Kerzner International, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, and the Savoy Group. 

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC 

Michael Sagild has been appointed Managing Director-Asia for MGM Hospitality, based in Hong Kong. He was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Stein Management International. Sagild, a Lausanne graduate, was previously the Chief Operating officer of Bangkok-based Minor Group, following five years as Managing Director, Asia-Pacific for Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts.

Michael Henssler has been appointed President-China for Kempinski Hotels and Managing Director of Key International Hotels Management. The Lausanne graduate joined Kempinski twelve years ago and was most recently the General Manager for the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva. He had previously served as the opening General Manager for the Kempinski Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. 

Kurt Wehinger has been appointed General Manager of the Singapore Marina Mandarin. He was previously the General Manager for the Millennium Beijing and had previously served in various management positions at the Kempinski Beijing Lufthansa Center and the InterContinental Crowne Plaza NW in Sydney. 

John Sartain has been appointed General Manager of the Mandarin Orchard Singapore. He was previously the General Manager of the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.

Leonard Mok now holds the title of General Manager at the Altira Macau (formerly known as the Crown Macau). He was most recently serving as Director of Hotel Operations at the property after joining the hotel as Director of Rooms.

Henry Perez has joined the Hilton Hawaiian Village as General Manager. He was most recently Area General Manager for Aqua Hotels, overseeing hotels in Waikiki and Maui.

Steven Shu has been named General Manager of the Swiss-Belhotel Hualun, Hefei in China. He was most recently the General Manager of the Panorama Shanghai.

Colin Bryan has been appointed General Manager of SALA Samui Resort and Spa, Koh Samui. He had been with Six Senses for five years, most recently as Resort Manager at Six Senses Hideaway Samui. 

Adam Laker has been named General Manager of the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island. Laker rejoins Accor after 18 months living in Thailand where he was responsible for opening the JW Marriott Khao Lak.

The St. Regis Bora Bora has named Paul Schoonewagen General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager at the Royal Mougins Golf, Resort and Spa in Mougins, France.

Daniel Arbenz has been appointed General Manager of the InterContinental Beijing Beichen and will continue to be the area General Manager for IHG's hotel brands in Liaoning and Heilongjiang. He was previously the opening General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Sun Palace Beijing.

Robin Graf has been named General Manager for the Kauai Beach Resort. He had previously served as General Manager for the Wyland Waikiki, the Park Shore Waikiki, the Waikiki Parc Hotel and the Outrigger Waikoloa Beach Hotel. 

Manish Jha has been named General Manager of the Anantara Bophut Resort & Spa, Koh Samui. He had previously served as Resort Manager for the Anantara Dhigu Resort and Spa and the Anantara Veli Resort & Spa.

The Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa has named Michael Nisky General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. 

Nick Porter has taken over for Amanda Elder as General Manager of the St. Regis Shanghai. He was most recently serving as General Manager of the Sheraton Xiamen Hotel. 

Mark Foxwell has joined the Hyatt Regency Osaka as General Manager. He was most recently with the Park Hyatt Tokyo as Executive Assistant Manager.

Guenter Gebhard has joined the St. Regis Bangkok as Hotel Manager. For the past five years, he had been with the Jumeirah Group, most recently based in Dubai as Director of Operations Global for Jumeirah Restaurants. He had previously overseen food and beverage for the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The Orchard Hotel Singapore has appointed Winnie Low Executive Assistant Manager. She was previously part of the opening team for the Ritz-Carlton Millennia Singapore and most recently spent four years in China, taking on management positions with various international hotel chains like Intercontinental Hotels Group and Shangri-la in China. 

Christian Haneke will be moving to Jakarta to take on the role of Cluster Director of Finance for the JW Marriott, Ritz Carlton Jakarta, Ritz Carlton Pacific Place and Marriott Executive Apartment. He was most recently the Director of Finance at the Grand Hyatt Dubai.

Chris Young has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage at the PuLi Hotel and Spa, Shanghai. Young was most recently the Restaurant Manager at Jacques Reymond in Melbourne.

Debrah Pascoe has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Shangri-La Bangkok and Shangri-La Chiang Mai. She recently served in the same position at the Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Oman.
 
Amanda Elder has been promoted to Vice President of Sales for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East for Starwood. She was most recently with the St. Regis Shanghai as General Manager.

Timothy Tan has been appointed Regional Director of Sales – South East Asia - for Mandarin Oriental. Tan was most recently with Carlson Hotels Worldwide, where he held the position of Director of Sales – South East Asia. 

The Andara Phuket Resort & Villas has appointed Pimpatai Techachukiat Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past six months, she had been the General Sales Agent for the hotel, based in Bangkok. She had previously served as Director of Sales for the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and the Peninsula Bangkok.  

The Makena Beach & Golf Resort has named Michele Brumblay Director of Catering and Conference Services. She was most recently the Director of Sales for the resort. Previous positions include Director of Catering at the Renaissance Stanford Court Hotel in San Francisco, and Director of Catering and Conference Services at the Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort on Maui.

Phillip Eisenberg is now Senior Sales Manager for the Makena Beach & Golf Resort. He had previously served as Director of National Sales for the MGM Grand, as well as Director of Sales at Primm Valley Resorts and Signature Worldwide in Las Vegas.

Gilles Delaloy is relocating to Bangkok as the new Executive Pastry Chef for the Lebua hotel. He was most recently in the same position for Metis restaurant in Bali.

Tex Doughty has joined the Raffles Singapore as Beverage Consultant. He was most recently in Las Vegas as Director of Operations for Alain Ducasse's Mix Restaurant. He had previously overseen Crobar, Man Ray and Nell's, all in New York City.

Christian Albacar has joined the St. Regis Singapore as Grand Maitre d'. He was most recently in Dubai as Restaurant Manager for Ossiano at Atlantis The Palm Jumeirah. 

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA 

The Rixos hotel chain in Turkey has appointed Kees Hartzuiker Chief Executive Officer. Hartzuiker previously held the position of Vice President of Operations for the Hilton International in Asia.

Michael Koth has moved as General Manager for the Semiramis InterContinental Cairo. He was most recently the General Manager for the InterContinental Doha. He had previously served as General Manager at the InterContinental Budapest and the Atheneaum InterContinental Athens.

Henning Fries has been named General Manager for the Abu Dhabi Fairmont Bab Al Bahr taking over from Michael Kaile, now in Vancouver. He was previously the General Manager for the Monarch Dubai and Regional Director UAE for Refad Hotels & Resorts. 

Olivier Heuchenne has joined the Raffles Praslin in the Seychelles as opening General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager for the Address Dubai Mall after holding the same role in Dubai for the Palace, the Old Town. Previous positions include General Manager for the Ritz-Carlton Sharm El Sheikh, Hotel Manager for the Ritz-Carlton Dubai and Director of Food and Beverage at the Hotel Arts Barcelona.

Axel Jarosch takes on a new challenge as General Manager for the pre-opening and running of a new resort in Oman with Anantara. He was most recently at the Desert Palm Dubai as General Manager.

Dhiren Pereira has joined the Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh in Egypt as General Manager. This is a return to Oberoi after serving as Rooms Division Manager for the Oberoi, Mauritius before joining his most recent resort, the Palazzo Versace, Gold Coast, Australia.

Gilaine Guirguis has been appointed General Manager of the Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz Resort. She was most recently serving as General Manager for the Hilton Nuweiba Resort. 
 
George Aoun has been named Multi-Property General Manager for the JW Marriott Kuwait, Courtyard by Marriott Kuwait and the Araya Ballroom. He was formerly the General Manager at the JW Marriott Kuwait.

Magdy Metwally has been appointed General Manager of the Hilton Sharm Dreams Resort. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz Resort.

The Address Dubai Mall has appointed Thomas Norberg General Manager. He was previously the opening General Manager of the Fairmont Zanzibar and had overseen food and beverage for the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota and the Plaza in New York.

Ajaz Sheikh has been named Director of Operations for the Gate Village at Dubai International Financial Centre. For the past five years, he managed the food and beverage operations at the Lanesborough London.

Jumeirah has appointed Toby Joseph Vice President of Sales and Marketing – Dubai. Prior to joining Jumeirah, he was a co-founder and partner of TJ Associates. He had previously worked for Eos Airlines as Executive Vice President and headed Sales at Carlson Wagonlit Travel for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Valerie Barrie has been recently appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the JW Marriott Dubai. She was previously the Director of Marketing at the Hyatt Regency Coolum and the Novotel Twin Waters Resort, both in Queensland, Australia.

The Mövenpick Hotel Qassim has named Prashant Sharma Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served as Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing at Le Méridien Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia.

The Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel and Towers has named Martin Braecker Executive Chef. He previously worked in the same capacity at the Hyatt Regency Manila and the Kempinski Beijing.
