Pandemic halts strong start to financial year 2020 and with global realignment and cost reductions decided, group transformation to be accelerated.
TUI is ready for an early resumption of travel activities in Germany and Europe. Barely two months after almost all business units had to be shut down due to the worldwide travel bans, the tourism group is prepared for a resumption of its operational activities. The Lost Summer: Phuket hotels set to take a time out 26 May 2020 : Back in the early days of May, the sheer heat of the coming monsoon added fire to the anxiety of the island’s hotel sector and the assumption at the time was for a reopening of Phuket airport and that Bangkok would reopen international flights on 1st June.
