Sage Hospitality Group has named Daniel del Olmo President of the company’s hotel management arm. He previously spent 11 years with the Wyndham Hotel Group, most recently as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Latin America.
Jan Rozenveld has moved as Chief Operating Officer to Standard Hotels. Rozenveld is the former Senior Vice President, Lifestyle Hotels, at Highgate Hotels and had previously served as General Manager of the Ace Hotel New York and the Greenwich Hotel New York.
Meyer Jabara Hotels has promoted Justin Jabara President. He was most recently serving as Vice President of Development and Acquisitions.
Canyon Ranch has appointed Jeff Kuster Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Kuster was Group President, North America, at Ralph Lauren Corp.
Harry Gorstayn has been promoted with Radisson Hotels to Corporate Director Operations, Openings & Integration/Food & Beverage. Since 2012 he had served as General Manager of the Radisson Blu Mall of the Americas. Gorstayn had previously been with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for 24 years, most recently as General Manager of the Four Seasons Philadelphia, the Four Seasons Palm Beach, and Hotel Manager of the Regent Beverly Wilshire.
Edean Kam has been promoted to General Manager of the Radisson Blu Mall of America, replacing Harry Gorstayn. For the past seven years, Kam had served as Hotel Manager. Kam is the former Hotel Manager of the Loews Hotel Philadelphia and Resort Manager of the Four Seasons Resorts Lana’i, Hawaii.
Yvette Thomas-Henry has been appointed General Manager of the Four Seasons Nevis. Since 2015 she had served as General Manager of Four Seasons Atlanta.
Peter Bowling has returned to Mexico as Vice President and Managing Director of the Viceroy Los Cabos, replacing Martin Kipping. Bowling had previously overseen the One&Only Palmilla and the Capella Pedregal before taking on his most recent role as Managing Director of the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.
Philippe Posch has joined Caruso Development as Senior Vice President Hospitality. The Lausanne graduate was most recently the General Manager of the Equinox Hotel New York.
Leiya Cohen has been named General Manager of the Dream Midtown. She was most recently Hotel Manager of the Time New York.
Alex Francis has been named General Manager of the Radisson Blu Minneapolis Downtown. He was most recently with Graves Hospitality as Vice President of Operations.
Geneya Sauro has joined Live! by Loews – St. Louis as General Manager. She has been with the company since 2001, most recently serving as General Manager of the Loews Minneapolis Hotel.
Russel Storey has been named General Manager of the Cabrits Resort & Spa Dominica. He was most recently the General Manager of the Royal Maxim Palace, Cairo.
Guido Kerpel has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer at New Castle Hotels and Resorts. Kerpel was most recently serving as the company’s Vice President Operations.
The Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa has named Mike Waddell General Manager. He had been with the company for over 20 years, most recently as General Manager of the Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows.
Island Hospitality Management has promoted Gregg Forde to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Forde had joined Island Hospitality Management’s predecessor in 2003 after beginning his hospitality career with Marriott International in 1998.
Roger Pollak has been promoted at Island Hospitality Management to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Pollak joined Island Hospitality Management’s predecessor as Controller in 1995 and has previously served as Senior Vice President Accounting.
The Kimpton Key West, slated to open its doors in early 2020, has named Cheryl Martin General Manager. She was most recently the General Manager of the Valley River Inn in Eugene, Oregon and the FireSky Resort & Spa in Phoenix.
Jonathan Andrew Ross has been named Managing Director of the Brenton Hotel, slated to open in June. He is the former Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Northeast, at Auberge Resorts Collection and Regional Director of Sales and Marketing of the Pyramid Hotel Group.
The Ambassador Chicago has named Katharine Degoma General Manager. She brings nearly 20 years of hospitality experience to her role and will oversee all of the property’s operations. Degoma was most recently at the Hyatt Regency Deerfield as General Manager.
Winfred van Workum has been named General Manager of the St. Regis Washington, D.C. Van Workum comes from the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park, where he served as General Manager for the past three years.
Shawn Hauver has joined KSL Resorts as Vice President of Asset Performance, East Coast. He is the former Vice President Operations of Salamander Hotels and Resorts and had previously served as Managing Director of the Knickerbocker Hotel New York.
The Island House in Nassau has appointed James Wyndham General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley.
The Ballantyne in Charlotte has named Christophe Le Chatton General Manager. Most recently, Le Chatton served as General Manager at the King Edward Hotel.
Logan Miller has returned to Auberge Resorts’ Nanuku on Viti Levu to take on the role of General Manager. Miller had previously served at the resort as Director of Food and Beverage before taking on the role Director of Operations for the Calistoga Ranch.
TJ Baggett has been named PGA General Manager of the Pete Dye River Course at the Inn at Virginia Tech. He was most recently at TPC Piper Glen. Baggett is the former Director of Golf Sales for PGA National Spa & Resort of Palm Beach Gardens, and as PGA General Manager for TPC at Baha Mar, Nassau, The Bahamas.
Raymond Ortiz has been named Vice President of Finance, Hotel Operations at Standard International. He was most recently Corporate Controller for Ace Hotels/Atelier Ace in New York.
Atrium Hospitality has named Chris Dunne Chief Financial Officer. Dunne worked for the InterContinental Hotels Group for more than 18 years with his most recent role being the Vice President of Operations Finance, Americas.
The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills has named Jacob Musyt Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage of the Waldorf Astoria Park City and the Salamander Resort and Spa.
Michael Manning has joined Live! by Loews – St. Louis as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently the pre-opening Director of Food and Beverage of the SOPHY Hotel.
Chris Rodgers has been named Director of Sales and Marketing of the Peninsula Beverly Hills. He was most recently in the same role at the La Peer Hotel West Hollywood. Rodgers is the former Area Director of West Coast Sales at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and Director of West Coast Sales for The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel.
The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills has named Kelly Teo Director of Sales and Marketing. He is the former pre-opening Director of Sales and Marketing for the St. Regis Hong Kong and the EDITION Sanya.
Beth Allen is the new Director of Sales and Marketing of the Ballantyne. She was most recently in the same position at Capella Hotel Group’s Solis Hotel in Atlanta. Previously, Allen was Director of Sales and Marketing at Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe and prior to that, The Mansion on Peachtree.
The Royal Sonesta Boston has named Blake Herring Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently serving as Director of Sales of the Loews Boston Hotel.
The Sagamore Pendry Baltimore appointed Tomiko Burroughs Director of Sales and Marketing. Burroughs is the former Area Director of Sales at Kimpton Hotels and Director of Sales at TravelClick.
Jannika Spremberg has been named Director of Sales and Marketing of the Fairmont Empress. She was most recently serving as Director of Revenue Management for the hotel.
The Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa has named Cory Baum Director of Sales and Marketing. Baum was in the same role for the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville.
Robin Swick has been named Director of Sales and Marketing of Live! by Loews – St. Louis. She was most recently serving as the Director of Sales and Revenue Management at the Westin St. Louis.
Paul Li has been named Director of Sales and Marketing of the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Most recently, Li served as Director of Sales and Marketing of the Trump International Hotel & Tower Vancouver.
Ashley Truman has joined the Hotel Erwin as Executive Chef. She was most recently with the Citizen Hotel as Banquet Sous Chef.
Ülfet Özyabasligil Ralph has been named Executive Chef of the Magee Homestead in Montana. Since 2018 she had served as Executive Sous Chef of the Camden Harbour Inn, in Maine.
Serge Devesa is now in Fort Worth as Executive Chef at the Lush Resort. He was most recently in the same role at the Loews Regency Hotel. He is the former Executive Chef of the Argyle Club in San Antonio, the Willard Intercontinental, and the Intercontinental, The Barclay.
Matt Lange has been promoted to Executive Chef with his move to the Live! by Loews – St. Louis. He was most recently on the opening team of the Loews Chicago as Executive Sous Chef.
The Summit has appointed Michael Inferrera as Executive Chef. Inferrera is the former Chef de Cuisine at Belterra Park Gaming & Entertainment in Cincinnati.
EUROPE
Frank Marrenbach has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of the Oetker Collection. For the past 22 years, he had been the Managing Director of the Brenners-Park Hotel & Spa.
Simon Wong has been named General Manager of the Londoner Hotel. Wong is the former General Manager of the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow, Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire, and the Leicester Square Hotel.
Henning Matthiesen takes over from Frank Marrenbach as Managing Director for Brenners-Park Hotel & Spa. Matthiesen had been overseeing the Excelsior Hotel Ernst in Cologne for the past seven years.
Kempinski Hotels has appointed Julia Massey as Vice President Global Sustainability. She was most recently the Senior Expert Sustainability & Reporting for OMV.
Florian Steinmaier has been named General Manager of the Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt. He was most recently at the Roomers Hotel in Munich as Hotel Manager. Steinmaier is the former Director of Food and Beverage of the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski in Munich.
Rockcliffe Hall in County Durham has appointed Jason Adams Managing Director. He is the former General Manager of the Lygon Arms.
Marcus O’Leary takes over from Jason Adams as General Manager of the Lygon Arms. O’Leary was most recently with Marriott Vacations Worldwide where he has been based for seven years in Orlando, Florida, as Vice President.
The Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc has appointed Sébastien Broda Chef. Broda was in similar posts with Le Jarrier in Biot and the Grand Hôtel in Cannes.
ASIA AND THE PACIFIC
Chris Machorek has returned as General Manager to the Sheraton Kaua’i Coconut Beach Resort, the former Courtyard by Marriott Kaua’i at Coconut Beach Resort. He had previously served the resort as General Manager for two years. He was most recently Managing Director of the Renaissance Westchester Hotel in New York.
Hans Lentz has been named Executive Chef of Halekulani. He was most recently the Executive Chef of the Hawaii Convention Center on Oahu. Lentz is the former Resort Executive Chef of the Madinat Jumeirah.
The Kahala Hotel & Resort has appointed Jonathan Mizukami Executive Chef. He is the former Executive Chef of the Vintage Cave and Chef de Cuisine at Chef Mavro, both on Oahu.
MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA
Karim Tayach has been named Cluster General Manager overseeing the Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl and the Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha. He was most recently the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Bali.
Rotana has promoted Guy Hutchinson, to serve as the permanent President and Chief Executive Officer. He joined the company as Chief Operating Officer in 2014 and had been serving as acting Chief Executive Officer since January 2019.
