Industry giant Stephen Bollenbach has passed. He was only 74 but has left his mark in the C Suite at Marriott, Trump Hotels & Casinos and Disney before reuniting Hilton & Hilton International and engineering the sale of the “package” to Blackstone for $26 billion.
Jonathan Tisch will resume the duties of Chief Executive Officer of Loews Hotels following the departure of Kirk Kinsell. Tisch will continue to serve as Chairman of Loews Hotels and co-chairman of the Board for Loews Corporation.
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has appointed Kiaran MacDonald to Regional Vice President, Bermuda and Caribbean, and General Manager of the Fairmont Southampton. He was most recently in London serving as Managing Director for The Savoy. MacDonald is the former General Manager at the Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver and the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.
Ben Shank has been promoted to General Manager in joining the (new) Four Seasons Philadelphia. He was most recently serving as opening Resort Manager for the Four Seasons Orlando. Shank had previously served as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Scottsdale.
Florian Riedel has been named General Manager of the Four Seasons Palo Alto, taking over from Tracy Mercer who is retiring. Riedel was most recently serving as General Manager and Vice President Operations for Hualalai Resort after serving three years as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. As for Mercer he spent 30 years with For Seasons in Beverly Hills, Boston, Chicago, Tokyo, Singapore and the Silicon Valley.
The Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa has named Cindy Racco General Manager. Most recently, Racco was the Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai and the former General Manager at the Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado.
Marc Bromley has been promoted General Manager at the Four Seasons Scottsdale. Since 2014, he had been serving as Resort Manager. Bromley is the former Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo, the Four Seasons Palm Beach. He previously served as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Washington, D.C.
Philipp Real has joined the Capella Ixtapa as General Manager. He was most recently overseeing the Vines Resort and Spa in Argentina.
Jeffrey Modaff has been named General Manager at the Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach. For the past nine years he had served as Director of Rooms at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa.
Brent Martin has accepted the interim assignment as General Manager of the Four Seasons Vail, taking over from Mark Herron, who has left the company. Martin was in a similar role recently for the Four Seasons Marrakech. He is the former General Manager at the Four Seasons Koh Samui and the (former) Four Seasons Philadelphia.
Philip Kendall has been appointed General Manager of Solage, an Auberge Resort, in Napa Valley. He was most recently overseeing the Carneros Inn as Vice President of Resort Operations for Plumpjack Group.
Kathleen Cochran has joined the Alisal Guest Ranch in Solvang as General Manager, replacing Cornell graduate David Lautensack who is retiring after 23 years at the Ranch. Cochran is the former General Manager of the Lodge at Paws Up, the Bacara Resort & Spa and the Loews Coronado Bay Resort.
Janis Clapoff is now the Managing Director of the Lake Austin Spa Resort. She is a former Managing Director of the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, General Manager of Halekulani and Managing Partner of San Ysidro Ranch.
Sharilyn Toko has been appointed General Manager at the Condado Plaza Hilton in Puerto Rico. Since 2009 she had served as Hotel Manager for the El Conquistador Resort & Las Casitas Village.
Adam Della Rocca has been appointed General Manager at the Keating Hotel in San Diego. He was most recently the General Manager of the Surfer Beach Hotel in San Diego.
William Yahr has been named General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Westchester. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove. Yahr is the former Executive Assistant Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne.
Carlos Bueno has moved as General Manager to the Taj Boston. He was most recently serving as Hotel Manager for the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Bueno is the former Director of Operations at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
Steve Hilton has been appointed General Manager of the Omaha Marriott Downtown at the Capitol District, scheduled to open in summer 2017. Hilton was most recently serving as General Manager of the Embassy Suites Convention Center and Courtyard by Marriott Omaha La Vista.
Vince Parrotta has been appointed President, Hotel Operations Americas at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Toronto. He was most recently the General Manager at the Four Seasons Scottsdale.
Patricia Berry has moved to the Ames Hotel Boston as General Manager. She is the former General Manager at the Battery Wharf Hotel and the Ritz-Carlton Residences Inner Harbor in Baltimore.
Christophe Chabaud is now in Washington as General Manager of the Sea Brook Island Resort. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Istanbul at Bosphorus.
Marcus Loevenforst has been named General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown. He was most recently the General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Budapest. Loevenforst is the former Vice President Operations at EDITION Hotels and Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples.
Elizabeth Faler has moved over to the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles as Hotel Manager. She was most recently serving as Executive Assistant Manager " Rooms for the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage.

Alex Schmidt has been named Director of Operations at the Fairmont Hotels Vancouver. He is the former Hotel Manager at the Rosewood Crescent and Resort Manager for the Rosewood Mayakoba.
Olivier Lau has been named Director of Operations at the JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage for both the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE and Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles. Lau had previously overseen food and beverage at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco and the JW Marriott Chicago.
Saleem Ahmed has been named Corporate Director of Finance for Montage Hotels & Resorts. He was most recently serving as Director of Finance at the Montage Beverly Hills and is the former Controller at the Peninsula Chicago.
Mathias Cocuron has been named Senior Director of Finance at the Four Seasons Anguilla. He was most recently the Director of Finance at the Four Seasons Baltimore and had previously served in the same capacity for the (former) Four Seasons Philadelphia and the Four Seasons Nevis.
John Raucci has moved to the Ritz-Carlton Denver as Director of Finance. For the past two years, he had been in the same position for the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey. He is the former Assistant Director of Finance at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain, the Ritz-Carlton Cleveland and the Ritz-Carlton Las Vegas.

Vanessa Williams has returned to Southern California to take on the role of pre-opening Director of Sales and Marketing for the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. She had previously served in the same role at the L’Ermitage Beverly Hills before moving into similar roles at the Conrad Seoul, the Waldorf Astoria Beijing, the Sukhothai Bangkok, and Sandy Lane.

Philip Barnes has been named Managing Director of the Savoy, replacing Kiaran MacDonald. Barnes was the Regional Vice President for Fairmont in the Pacific Northwest. His long international career included many years with Four Seasons and Shangri-La. He was a Vice President with Delta Hotels until Fairmont acquired the company in 2004.
Michael Zager has been named Vice President, Operations, Continental Europe, at InterContinental Hotel Group in Frankfurt. He was most recently with the Wyndham Hotel Group as Regional Vice President, Middle East & Africa.
Romeo Carlomusto has been appointed General Manager of the Hotel Villa & Palazzo Aminta in Italy. He is the former Managing Director at the Chervò Golf Hotel Spa & Resort San Vigilio.

Kris Kaminsky has returned to Asia as General Manager of the Four Seasons Macau. He had previously served in food and beverage at the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai and Executive Assistant Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo before taking on his most recently role as Hotel Manager of the Four Seasons Denver.
Jean Christophe Olivro has been named Regional Director, China and Philippines, for Aman and General Manager at Amanpulo in the Phillipines. He was most recently overseeing Amangiri in Utah. Olivro is the former Resident Manager at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Anthony Gill will remain as General Manager to help transition the newly branded Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai. For the past four years, he had been overseeing the resort and is the former General Manager at La Residence Hotel & Spa Hue, and the Life Heritage Resort Hoi An.
Gerald Glennon has joined the Kahala Hotel and Resort as General Manager, replacing Carmine Iommazzo. He was most recently serving as Managing Director for the Modern Honolulu. Glennon also previously served as General Manager of Halekulani.
Gaylord Lamy has been promoted to General Manager to oversee the Langham Sydney. He was most recently at the Langham Chicago as Director of Operations.
Derek Flint has been named General Manager at the JW Marriott Singapore South Beach. He was most recently in Shanghai overseeing the Portman Ritz-Carlton. Flint had previously served as General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne and the Ritz-Carlton Beijing Financial District.
David Macklin has been named Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai. He was most recently at the Four Seasons Sydney as Hotel Manager.

The Four Seasons Langkawi has named Stéphane Brallet Executive Chef. He was most recently at the One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius in the same capacity.
The Four Seasons Shanghai Pudong has named Pietro Padova Executive Chef. He was most recently Complex Executive Chef for the St. Regis Lhasa Resort and the Four Points by Sheraton Lhasa.
Conrado Tromp has moved to the Ritz-Carlton Osaka as Executive Chef. He was most recently serving as Executive Chef at the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu.
Sumanth Das has joined the MGM Cotai Strip as Executive Chef. He had previously served in similar roles at the Pan Pacific Singapore and the Four Seasons Jakarta.
The Four Seasons Seoul has promoted Goeun Lee to Director of Rooms. She joined the hotel last year as Learning Manager. She had previously served in senior rooms positions at the Grand Hyatt Incheon, the Park Hyatt Seoul and the Grand Hyatt Seoul.

Andrew Humphries has been named Chief Operating Officer for Katara Hospitality in Qatar. He is the former Regional Vice President and General Manager for Viceroy Hotels & Resorts in Abu Dhabi. He had previously overseen the Four Seasons Nevis and the Four Seasons Amman.
Greg Pirkle has been named General Manager at the Four Seasons Sharm el Sheikh. He is the former General Manager of the Four Seasons Malaysia, the Four Seasons Langkawi, and the Four Seasons Riyadh.
Dimitrios Zarikos has returned to Cairo as Regional Vice President and General Manager at the Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza. He had previously been on the opening team for the Four Seasons Cairo at First Residence. For the past eight years, he had been based in Toronto, overseeing the property closure and the re-opening of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Residences on Yorkville Avenue.
Roland Duerr has joined the Rosewood Abu Dhabi as Managing Director. For the past four years, he had been the Hotel Manager at the Carlyle New York. He is the former Hotel Manager at the Jumeirah Essex House and Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage for Burj Al Arab.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has promoted Ashraf El Zahed to Vice President Hotel Marketing " EMEA, based in Dubai, taking over from David Crowl who is retiring after 35 years with the company. El Zahed has been with the company since 1999, most recently serving as Corporate Director of Marketing EMEA.
Holger Frehde has returned to the Four Seasons Marrakech as Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served in the same role at the Four Seasons Santa Barbara before returning to Marrakech at the M Avenue Marrakech, a project including Four Seasons Private Residences.
Ulviyya Talishinskaya has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Four Seasons Baku. She was most recently serving the hotel as Director of Sales.
The Four Seasons Baku has named Talha Barkin Executive Chef. Barkin was most recently in the same role at the Fairmont Flame Towers.
Thierry Papillier has moved to the Four Seasons Marrakech as Executive Chef. He had previously served in the same role at the Four Seasons Casablanca, the Four Seasons Nile Plaza and the Four Seasons Mauritius.
Savaş Aydemir has moved to the Four Seasons Istanbul at the Bosphorus as Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same capacity at sister property the Four Seasons Istanbul at Sultanahmet.

The Four Seasons Baku has appointed Frank Motzkus Director of Rooms. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager at the Legian Bali Hotel. Motzkus is the former Director of Rooms at the Shangri-la Abu Dhabi and the Shangri-la London.
