AC Hotels welcomes its first property in Germany.

AC Hotels by Marriott has opened today AC Hotel Mainz, the brand’s first property in Germany, offering entrepreneurial spirits a new way to hotel in the destination of Mainz and as the first boutique-style hotel in Mainz, the property adds to the brand’s growing global portfolio of more than 100 design-led hotels located in Brazil, Denmark, France, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Following a recent renovation, this historic building in the heart of the city has been transformed into a stylish 58-room hotel boasting sleek, contemporary design combined with the elegance of a classic grand hotel. Design details by Dutch interior designer Helge Docters van Leeuwen accentuate the original architecture and introduce a sleek, modern finish where clean lines interplay with neutral colours.

AC Hotels believes that purposeful design improves lives, carefully curating the things that guests need and editing out what they don’t. AC Hotels strip away the unnecessary to remove friction, providing guests with thoughtfully designed moments of elegance. Allowing guests to focus on what’s important to them and elevating their stay.

Guest rooms blend simple lines and modern European style to create a sophisticated and contemporary ambience for guests with open-plan closets, sleek design furnishings and rain showers in the bathrooms with signature AC Hotels amenities. In addition, all rooms offer complimentary Wi-Fi and spacious work desks, catering perfectly to business travellers’ needs.

Conveniently located by the Mainz Central Station, within easy reach of the old-town district of Mainz and the Rhine River, AC Hotel Mainz provides the ideal base from which to explore this historic city. Guests can discover the abundant architecture and culture on foot or soak up the view from the hotel’s restaurant and bar Adam & Eden, where the French-style bistro menu from Chef Christian Höhn utilises only fresh, regional ingredients to offer everything from signature baked croissants for breakfast to authentic dishes and speciality cocktails for dinner.

Collaborations with local artists and businesses further strengthen the brand’s commitment to its European heritage, offering guests a menu packed with local breads, pastries, and beer and wine, with hotel associate’s uniforms designed by celebrated fashion designer Anja Gockel, who lives in Mainz.

In addition to the restaurant, the hotel’s signature AC Lounge, a creative hotspot by day and social hub by night, offers a nightly selection of tapas-inspired small bites and locally inspired Gin & Tonics, while the friendly bartenders are on hand to offer insights about the latest local hotspots.

Guests at AC Mainz can take advantage of two multifunctional rooms accommodating up to 30 people for meetings, weddings, and events. To facilitate frictionless service, Kallpods, wireless service buttons, are provided in the public and meetings spaces, enabling guests to immediately request a staff member’s attention.
