In a city that has hosted the early gigs of Liverpool's original 'Fab Four,' Hamburg once again claims rock residency with the opening of the new Hard Rock Cafe.
Hard Rock International announced today the opening of its newest cafe location at the heart of Germany's second city.

Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg is conveniently located near the banks of the Elbe River in one of the city's most historic buildings, the Landungsbrücken. Nestled in the port near local landmarks, including Old Elbe Tunnel, the Old Warehouse District and the Harbor City, the new Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg is poised to become a must-see destination for visitors and locals alike.
The three-level, 900-square-meter cafe includes seating for 365, a vibrant bar, outdoor seating complete with rooftop terrace, live music area, VIP lounge and Rock Shop, featuring Hard Rock's limited-edition merchandise. Memorabilia from Hard Rock's iconic collection adorns the walls of Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg, including items from many of the world's most beloved and recognizable musicians, as well as contemporary artists with local ties. Key memorabilia items are now on display, from handwritten letters penned by The Beatles and suede/wool Afghan jacket worn by Jimi Hendrix, to a "Punisher" bass guitar used by Gene Simmons of KISS, to a custom- stage shirt worn by will.i.am. during the Black Eyed Peas' 2005 world tour.
"Hamburg is an important market for the brand as we continue to expand our European portfolio," said Antonio Bautista, Senior Director – Europe, Middle East & Africa Franchise Operations & Development, Hard Rock International. "For nearly 20 years, the brand has enjoyed tremendous success in Germany and is proud to call Hamburg home to the country's fourth Hard Rock Cafe." The Hamburg cafe, owned and operated by franchisee Georg Jozwiak, joins existing company-owned cafes in Berlin, Cologne and Munich.
Guests of Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg can enjoy fresh, high-quality items from Hard Rock's scratch-based menu, including the favorite Legendary Experience menu, featuring a mouth-watering selection of 10-ounce Certified Angus Beef® Legendary Burgers. Hard Rock's Smokehouse Menu uses the very best Hickory wood chips to slowly cook its ribs, chicken and pork to juicy, tender perfection. In addition to its food, Hard Rock Cafe's extensive, award-winning drinks menu includes Hurricanes, Margaritas, signature favorites and Alternative Rock (alcohol-free) beverages, all available in Hard Rock souvenir collectible glassware. Hard Rock's cocktails are handcrafted, just like its cuisine, and as authentic as the memorabilia on the walls. So order up a round, raise a glass to Rock and enjoy!
The Hamburg cafe's Rock Shop, which opened in February 2011, offers rock ‘n' roll-inspired items, as well as collectible Hard Rock Cafe merchandise in its exclusive retail location. This Hamburg-specific merchandise can only be purchased at this location, which offers an exclusive design quality that enhances each item's appeal. Fans can also acquire Hard Rock's much-coveted signature pins, including the new, limited-edition Hamburg pins, which reflect the spirit of the city and the authenticity of Hard Rock's merchandise.
Since it was established in 1971, Hard Rock has been committed to a wide variety of philanthropic causes and activities around the world, and Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg will carry this causal commitment to its market. In every Hard Rock city, the staff makes it a priority to become a valuable community partner. In the form of funds, food and beverage, merchandise and man hours, Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg will give back locally, as well as participate in global corporate philanthropic initiatives, ranging from breast cancer awareness programs, to rock icons' favorite causes through the annual Signature Series T-shirt program.
