Hotel Okura JR Huis Ten Bosch, located in Sasebo City, Nagasaki, Japan, became the newest addition to international luxury hotel group Okura Hotels & Resorts yesterday on April 1st.

Just a minute's walk from Huis Ten Bosch, a theme park and resort built to resemble a mediaeval 17th century Dutch town, the hotel offers the ideal base for visiting the internationally-known resort.
Located in Kyushu, Japan's southernmost island, Nagasaki has a historical tie to the Netherlands going back to the 1600s.
The hotel opened as ANA Hotel JR Huis Ten Bosch 17 years ago and has now been rebranded as a five-star hotel of Okura Hotels & Resorts.

"We are excited to add this prestigious and unique resort property to our group and are ready to welcome its many international visitors with our signature services," said Toshihiro Ogita, President of Hotel Okura Co., Ltd., which owns the Okura Hotels & Resorts and Nikko Hotels International brands.
Hotel Okura JR Huis Ten Bosch has been going through major renovations, updating and upgrading all 320 guest rooms with state-of-the art facilities and new designs.
Dining facilities also will be rebranded and renovated.
The hotel will be fully operating throughout the renovations, which will be completed by March 2013.
