Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts (MH&R) continues its aggressive expansion plans across the Middle East with this latest signed management agreement for a second hotel in Jeddah, making this new venture the third in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Following the recently signed agreements in Dubai and Sanna'a, this latest hotel in Jeddah is now part of the portfolio of the Swiss hotel chain.
The new Mövenpick Hotel Jeddah is set to be established as the ideal business hotel, conveniently located in the city's commercial and banking district, next to the offices of the Ministry of Interior, various shopping centers and a 10 minute drive from Jeddah International Airport.
The hotel project will feature 210 deluxe rooms inclusive of 18 executive suites with the opening phase available to welcome guests from early 2004. A modern all-day international restaurant overlooking the swimming pool, a lobby café and an Asian specialty restaurant have all been exclusively designed to provide guests with the best of Mövenpick's renowned gastronomy and services. The hotel will also provide specialised meeting facilities comprising of a large meeting room with a private lounge for up to 150 delegates in addition to 4 day-lit breakout rooms of 50 m2 each, all supported by state of the art business and internet facilities. The final phase of the hotel will include an additional pillar-less ballroom of approximately 800 m2, ideal for large banquets, conventions and weddings.
Ibrahim A. Musallam, of Al Musallam family, one of the leading families in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is pleased that the new agreement has been concluded with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.
