Accor strengthens its presence in Asia Pacific by signing on for the development of up to 100 new hotels in the region.

The new contracts have raised Accor's commitments to over 200 hotels, 107 of which are in China and India.
Accor Chief Operating Officer, Michael Issenberg, was quoted in eTravel Blackboard Australia as having said that Accor is today the largest operator of hotels in Asia Pacific with over 450 hotels in operation and with the expansion achieved during 2011 and the extensive committed hotel pipeline, this leading position is cemented well into the future.
Issenberg added that they anticipate robust growth activity to continue well into 2012.
