
Swire Hotels' The Upper House in Hong Kong has won the award for Best Overseas Business Hotel following a reader survey by UK magazine Conde Nast Traveller.
The luxury property was ranked 11th out of 100 best hotels in the world.
The Upper House was praised as a business hotel for its ambience, decor and comfort of accommodation in particular. The property scored top marks by readers in all categories including dining, location and service.

Part of Swire Hotels, The Upper House opened at the end of 2009 on Hong Kong Island. With interiors designed by renowned architect Andre Fu, the 117-room hotel boasts the largest hotel bedrooms in Hong Kong and the bathrooms are each over 300 square feet with walk-in rain showers, dressing areas and deep soaking baths.
Each room is framed by panoramic windows, with views stretching from The Peak to Victoria Harbour. The Michelin star rated restaurant, Café Gray Deluxe, is located on the 49th floor overlooking the harbour. Featuring a 14 metre long open kitchen and bar, it serves an innovative take on European classics under the direction of Head Chef Gray Kunz.
