Hyatt opens Guiyang, first in Southwest China.

Hyatt Hotels announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Guiyang in the capital city of Guizhou province, marking the first Hyatt hotel in Southwest China.

Hyatt Regency Guiyang is part of the Guiyang International Conference and Exhibition Centre in the central Jin-Yang New District. Located near government offices and prime office and commercial space, the spacious property is also close to the Guanshan Park, which affords a refreshing view of lush landscapes.

Hyatt Regency Guiyang features 366 elegantly designed guestrooms with the latest modern amenities, including a Regency Club comprised of 144 rooms and suites for guests who desire an extra level of personalized service.

The hotel offers a wide range of facilities including five food and beverage outlets: Cha Yuan, a lobby lounge; Cafe, an all-day dining restaurant; Re La La, a hot pot specialty restaurant; The Fireplace, a grill restaurant; and 7 Zhongtian Road, the hotel's signature Chinese restaurant serving authentic Sichuanese complemented by Guizhou and Cantonese cuisines.

The hotel offers a wide selection of dedicated meeting and event facilities, including a 863 sq m (9,289 sq ft) Regency Ballroom that can accommodate 800 people for banquets and six function rooms measuring from 81 to 131 sq m (872 to 1,410 sq ft), each with natural light tailored to serve the every need of an event organizer. Leisure facilities include a fitness center, an indoor heated swimming pool and a modern spa.

Located near the Yungui Plateau, Guiyang is the economic and commercial center of Guizhou province. The city is one of the most important producers of metals, tobacco and machinery in China. Guiyang is renowned for its natural beauty and cultural richness, with some of the region's premier tourist attractions, including Huangguoshu Waterfall (Yellow Fruit Tree Waterfall) and Qianlingshan Mountain, each drawing millions of visitors each year from all over the world.

In addition to enjoying the scenery, visitors can discover various folk customs and cultures in this diverse region.
