Travelport has introduced their new online portal Travelport Leisure that enables agents in the Middle East to book international rail travel.

The new rail offering was made possible by Travelport's agreement with Rail Europe 4A, which offers products from high profile rail operators across Europe and beyond.

The new online portal Travelport Leisure is available to travel agents in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and will also be made available to other countries in the region later this year.

Travel agents can use Travelport Leisure to book point-to-point journeys in Europe, as well as for rail passes throughout Europe, the United States, the Far East and Australia, including Eurail, Amtrak, VIA Rail, Korail and Japan Rail Pass.

Rail Europe CEO Pierre-Stéphane Austi was quoted in Travel Daily Middle East as having said that upgrades and developments from Rail Europe's system are reflected on Travelport Leisure instantly, making it the ideal channel for them to distribute their content to travel agents in real-time.
