One-of-a-Kind Functionality Positions Marriott International and Travel Agents To Better Serve Customers; Helps Travelers Make Informed Buying Decisions.

Sabre Travel Network, a Sabre Holdings company, and Marriott International Inc. today announced Sabre Hotel Total Pricing, a first-of-its-kind offering to help Sabre Connected(TM) travel agents and their traveling clientele know the approximate total price of a Marriott hotel stay, factoring in all taxes and surcharges, at the time of booking.

This rate information, by day or by date range is the total hotel cost, including all known applicable taxes. Previously, pricing information was limited to basic room rates.

Marriott is the launch partner for this Sabre GDS offering for hotels. The total pricing information applies to all hotel brand names operated and franchised by Marriott International worldwide, including Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Residence Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, TownePlace Suites, Fairfield Inn, SpringHill Suites and Ramada International.

There is no change to the Marriott booking process through the Sabre system for agents. The system will calculate the total price of all accommodations, inclusive of all known applicable taxes for each rate program on the booking request. The agent will see an ordered list of availability, based on price, and the system will provide a breakdown of the applicable room rates, taxes and estimated total charges for each available rate.
