Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts is offering guests additional amenities at hotels in the U.S., Canada and Mexico when they take advantage of the hotel brand's Lowest Internet Rate Guarantee this fall.

Now through Dec. 31, 2003, guests who book a room through the Crowne Plaza Web site will receive their choice of one complimentary amenity, along with the assurance they are receiving the lowest rate available on the Internet.

Available amenities include free local phone calls (up to $10) during a stay, complimentary upgrade to a Crowne Plaza Club Level room when available, complimentary continental breakfast for one, complimentary in-room pay-per-view movie, free appetizer with the purchase of any entrée or beverage, or a complimentary fax transmittal up to five pages in length.

InterContinental Hotels Group, the parent company of Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts, launched the Lowest Internet Rate Guarantee in May of 2002. Within just the first year, revenue growth for internet bookings for the company shot up 80% compared to the industry average of 40%. Challenges to the Lowest Internet Rate Guarantee average about 1 out of 1,000 bookings, demonstrating that customers can book with confidence; the confidence that they will always get the best available rate, that the reservation will be there when they arrive, and that their security and privacy are always protected.
