InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed four hotel contracts in Hong Kong at the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP).

The contracts will cover the group's expansion in Taipei, Hong Kong and Xiamen and will eventually add more than 700 rooms to its portfolio.

The hotels in the pipeline are the 127-room Hotel Indigo Xiamen Harbour View, the 173-room Hotel Indigo Taipei Xinyi, the 125-room Holiday Inn Express Taipei Xinyi and the 300-room Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Mongkok.

The first three hotels are expected to open by 2011 while the Holiday Inn Express in Hong Kong is slated to open by 2014.
