
According to STR Global, hotels in the Asia Pacific region witnessed an increase in occupancy and average rate in May 2010.
Year-on-year, the Asia Pacific region's occupancy rose approximately 15 percentage points to around 63%, and ADR increased by about 9% to approximately US$126.
Shanghai experienced the largest occupancy increase, rising around 55 percentage points to about 72%, followed by Beijing, Hong Kong and Osaka.
Shanghai further reported the largest ADR increase, up approximately 29% to around US$143.
