Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul, which comprises a private member's club as well as a city hotel, is the first such concept by the hospitality brand Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts.

The sprawling 70,000 square-metre property is nestled in the heart of Seoul in Mount Namsan, providing easy accessfrom downtown Seoul as a place for leisure and entertainment in a natural environment. Opening in two phases, Club facilities were unveiled to members in April 2010, while its Hotel building will be revealed to the public on 1 June 2010.

Unique Hotel Experiences

Guests of the Hotel at Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul are uniquely identified as Club members during their stay, and will be allowed exclusive access to Club facilities such as outdoor and indoor swimming pools, sauna, indoor and rooftop gym, golf range, tennis court, futsal, and other members-only restaurants and bars.

The Hotel also caters to guest privacy with just 16 rooms and 16 suites equipped with plunge pools in every unit, with a maximum of four rooms or suites per floor. With a minimum floor space of 50sqm ranging up to 105sqm, these units are beautifully inspired by the five oriental elements of water, fire, metal, wood, and earth. Additionally, two double-storey Presidential Suites, measuring 280sqm and 315 sqm each, provide panoramic views from four angles overlooking the tranquil Namsan Park and Seoul city.

Also located in the Hotel building are four impeccable dining experiences which are open to the public and poised to position Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul as the place to socialise and be seen at.

Located in the highest point of the Hotel accompanied by the skyline of Seoul city, the al fresco 3 Sixty Wine Bar is where guests imbibe modern tapas, top quality oysters, gourmet cheese platters, farmed caviar, and a vintage wine selection. Namsan Terrace provides an exciting selection of fresh Angus beef and seafood, in a casual outdoor grill setting with Mount Namsan views.

Immediately located on the first floor  the sophisticated Granum Dining Lounge has  an extensive menu of South East Asian a la carte dishes. A relaxed place for outings, this is the place to enjoy Champagne brunches on weekends. Last but not least, Celeste is the name given to the hotel's Destination Dining experience, where guests are discreetly served in intimate cabanas in the midst of nature. Celeste, which means ‘heavenly' in Italian, sets the stage for a proposal or to celebrate special occasions like anniversaries and birthdays.

Banyan Tree Spa offers a range of services to the hotel guests, Club members, as well as the general public. The Spa features 11 treatment rooms, including five deluxe single rooms, four deluxe double rooms and two spa suites. All treatment rooms include bathrooms and relaxation areas and the spa suites are equipped with Rainmist rooms for the unique Tropical Rainmist experiences.

Like the tropical and sacred tree that inspired its name, Banyan Tree Spa is an intimate retreat that blends romance and serenity with exotic sensuality, providing a sanctuary for the senses. A pioneer of the tropical garden spa concept, it is a haven for physical and spiritual renewal. Using a ‘high-touch, low-tech' approach that celebrates human touch coupled with the use of natural herbs and spices and aromatic oils, the exotic treatments are inspired by Asian traditions that have been passed through the hands of many generations. The spa therapists of Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul are professionally trained at the exclusive Banyan Tree Spa Academy in Phuket, Thailand.
