eMeetingsOnline has launched hotel reservation capabilities from Pegasus Solutions, Inc.. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., eMeetingsOnline provides traditional and Web-based services for meeting planners and their attendees, and Dallas-based Pegasus Solutions is a leading global provider of hotel reservations-related services and technology.

The Pegasus service that powers hotel reservations for eMeetingsOnline provides direct access for both planners and attendees to 45,000 hotels and more than 200 hotel chains around the world. Users can view property information, room rates and availability, and book secure, real-time reservations directly from hotels' central reservations systems (CRS). Meeting planners and attendees also have instant, direct access to contracted room blocks at hotels participating in Pegasus' database.

With the implementation by eMeetingsOnline, Pegasus offers hotels another distribution channel for property information and reservations. The eMeetingsOnline site accesses Pegasus' Online Distribution Database, which feeds more than 75,000 images and detailed property information to Pegasus' Online Distribution Network. Thousands of Web sites are in this network, including Expedia.com, Lastminute.com and Travelweb.com.
